Personally, the Airpods Gen 3 is much better to use outdoors since it still gives you an awareness by allowing you to hear incoming vehicles or any worrisome noises. Meanwhile, the Airpods Pro is preferred indoors if you wanna have the feel of being isolated from the world.

Binigyan ako ng bf ko ng airpods pro 3rd generation and mas okay siya gamitin compared sa airpods pro naman sa bf ko and not siya comfortable sa ears ko ang maganda lang kasi my noise cancelation and ayaw niya magpalit kame kasi nga gagamitin niya lalo na at maingay sa plane kaya need niya yun. Pero overall sa battery life and music quality super goods ng airpods 3. Pero pag bibilhin ko siya using my own money big NO kasi not siya practical.
