Even if restaurants are re-inspected and pass, there should be a law that requires them to post a visible notice that there has been a recent issue and specify the issue. Customers should have the right to make an informed decision on whether or not to eat there based on issues/violations. These are the stories of when a restaurant has gotten caught, no telling how long the poor conditions existed. If these restaurants had not gotten caught, no improvements would have ever been made.

Sadly, the cucarachas are not only at the restaurants, sometimes they are at some houses too. I used to go translate for an individual; whenever I knocked on the door, the cucarachas were the first to answer the door. They were always crawling on the door. Since I was the one that individual always called to help translate, I mustered courage one day and asked them to clean up. About 10 of them in a house yet, none of them would clean the place up. I had other experiences with different ones as well, but I'll just stop here!

No one should consciously be willing to serve others food if there are Health code violations. As someone certified in food handling and safety, I would’ve shut my restaurant down immediately and notified corporate. This is uncalled for and our likely hundreds, if not thousands, of people (including immune compromised) at risk for serious Health problems. No if you see something wrong you say and do something about it. You don’t continue serving people hazardous foods. If you’re making a burger but know that burger has had rats eating off of it, do you still serve it? Because you want a paycheck. But you know this person might get seriously sick and die.... you are just as responsible. Google it, it’s a fact. “If you are a bystander and are in a position to save a human life or prevent a victims suffering, but do not, then they are in fact guilty for the victims fate.” ~facts~

VladiAK I have. I worked at a sandwich store when I was 18. I had a co worker drop sliced deli meat on the floor then pick it up and continue making the sandwich. I told them “you aren’t seriously serving that are you?”
She said “it’s packed in here I don’t have time to make another one.” I told her “eat it yourself or make another one.”
I am also a waitress. I worked with a girl who dropped a whole tray of clean silverware. She put them back in the tray and started rolling them into napkins. I told her to stop and give them all to me and I had them re washed. She also on another occasion used a dirty glass from another one of her customers tables and filled it up with soda and tried to serve it to someone else. I stopped her and told her just to use a beer glass if we are that low. She soon got fired after this. I have children, I can’t imagine someone feeding them dropped food, dirty silverware or reused soda cups. Take some damn responsibility for the people around you. No excuse

Wendy’s has this all the time at their older locations! Because it’s something wrong with the lining of the piping and how they designed the buildings. I worked for two different Wendy’s for four years!!! I reported it OVER AND OVER again even to the bbb and nobody would help me from being forced to work in a kitchen full of poop water, literally an old woman I watched walk in and drop her load in the bathroom and it all flowed right into the kitchen. We called corporate over and over, I called my district store owner, I called HR, I called every resource I could. It was so high that we would all go home with soaked shoes and the tethers of our pants drenched. It was very traumatizing actually being 17 and not being regarded as another human being. I even had my mom come as a customer and report it. What they did was close the dining room and keep the drive thru open!!!! I had had it and just had to quit because I couldn’t take how they were deceiving customers and just completely not caring about us as staff was just heartbreaking. I feared how my skin would react to working in poop water for two weeks. I was genuinely scared for my health and the percentage of feces that were floating in the air. Still bugs me today

I've noticed this pattern more in the predominantly african-american communities, the restaurants appear to be suffering from poor management, understaffing and first time youth opportunities. At least in NYC the fast-food restaurants have some level of quality control but here I feel like nobody cares, they just show up to work for a quick buck.

You pay low wages, you get low wage help which in turns leads to unsanitary prep areas. It's obvious these folks could care less about the conditions of these restaurants.

Is this channel becoming viral just because of this skit? Word of advice to the creators and producers of the show, there is plenty of money for you guys out here to come and make this into a real show. Would be amazing to see this made into something a little bit bigger than a side skit from a rando nowhere tv station.

They need to do something like this here in North Carolina. I had a waitress years ago come take our order at O'Charleys and told us she just left the bathroom as to the reason why she didn't get with us sooner. Yeah, we didn't eat there that day. But I've seen things at fast food restaurants and decided not to eat there.

I don't understand. It doesn't cost much to hire industrial grade cleaning services. Why are they so adamant on being filthy? To save money? That's kind of a counterintuitive thing to do since they're going to pay higher fees if they get found out.

Ok but the thing is, if half of these restaurants get written up for not even having manager's on duty, what makes the reporter think that pestering some clueless shift worker who's probably not even been there for a full month is going to be beneficial?
Wouldn't it be a lot more productive and have a bit more journalistic integrity to just go straight to the top? Find out who the manager is and ambush **them** with questions?
But I suppose that's too much effort and probably doesn't make as good television as cringing and gawking at a poor wage slave caught out of their depth for something they probably aren't even responsible for, right?

    • @ulengrau6357

Not to mention the fact that they only seem to feature non-white businesses. They did one episode on a business that had "no violations", and it was a white-owned business. So yeah... it's all for television and drama. Racist as always.
