Don’t agree. As someone who was controlled by a parter, no and being a parent IS a FULL TIME JOB PLUS. JJ and her husband have money and she is out of touch when it comes to the cost of basic child care these days.

That was exactly my situation in 2016 when I moved in the house of my girlfriend. Things didn't go well in my parental house so they suggested I come live there. But never ever have I made any trouble or was I disrespectful. Nor did I abuse their hospitality. I only had to pay 50 euros a month for the costs and help out from time to time. And in the meantime I kept studying and working until I found a job. Moved to an apartment with my girlfriend the next year and married her in 2020.

This is so common in India and so many other Asian countries. I have friends in USA, Canada and they said after marriage they live separate from their parents.

She made a TERRIBLE mistake trading in her car for a car in his name and not hers. I feel bad for her in that regard because she did actually have a car before.

I have one and it is a two parent household and we are happy but the way that the economy is and how high inflation is it’ll be at least another two years before I have another one I understand not wanting that big of an age gap but when it comes to finances having another child when you’re not ready it’s just completely irresponsible

I completely agree. My husband said the same thing when I got pregnant with our son. He no longer wanted me to work because he was scared I would meet somebody else. I allowed him to control me in that aspect.

2 children and no car, I'm shaking my head especially when she tried to say "he wouldn't let me get...." My 1st husband of a few weeks handed me a quarter one evening and I asked what it was for. His response was that I could go to the cheapie gas station and get a old stale pack of smokes or take the bus to visit my sister. This was in the early 70's so I took it and went across the street to a public phone and called her and told her to take her IBM Selectric II to our uncle's house NOW. I had a job a couple or 3 days later and never stopped working usually with 2 full time or 1 and a part time job. On another note, she's like her father...dumb as a box of rocks.
I am sure she will have plenty of more babies with differrent fathers because of her wreckless behavior. Shame on her dad for letting this happen.

What basis in the law is JJ making this wild ass decision on? Whether you personally like her life choices or not, maybe check those at the door, the fact is, shes out a 6600 dollar car that she traded in to benefit him for a car hes driving around in and getting the full benefit of and she has nothing. You want her to get a job? Well she needs to be made whole for the investment she made and got no benefit from.
She wasn’t married and she didn’t get the car in her name. If she expected the car to be hers at some point she should’ve put in her old car for the new car herself in case he could no longer afford it so she could keep it and pay it off. She didn’t think they’d break up tho and thought she was gonna make this dude buy her a new car.
The problem here is that the couple does not use birth control. She had a child by a previous relationship and is pregnant again. DUH!

Oh God... people like this annoy me so much. My brother moved in two different gf, one would become a baby mama, in with us. It was hell. Never even asked, just emotionally blackmailed us into letting him do it. I think I would have preferred it if he just went through with the self-harm he threatened us with. After the baby was born, the idea was that they would let my parents have time with their first grandson. She didn't fulfill that promise and left with the baby without a word. My dad died about a month later feeling so sad he had so little time with his grandson. Afterward she wanted to come back. I banned her from ever setting foot in my house again make my brother remember why he no longer has a say in the house.

This is what I can never understand with young parents. These days when they unexpectedly have a kid together, they immediatly think they have to move in together and get married. No wonder why more break ups and Divorces happen. They don't take their time to grow and know each other better. My brother and his girlfriend had two kids when they were young and dating when they were in college. But they didn't rush into marriage. They took their time grow for years. Then 7 years after being together they finally tied the knot and did a very small wedding ceremony where I wasn't invited just my Mom.
I believe her. And even if she is lying, don’t pretend there aren’t men out there like this who don’t want their girlfriends to work because they’re jealous about them being outside of the home without them. But the problem is there’s just no compensation for that. You can’t hold someone accountable for lost wages when you were in a willing relationship even if it was abusive. That’s why we have friends and family who can hopefully help us out of those situations. I wonder where this girls father was when they were both living under his roof and she claimed she wasn’t allowed to work. Maybe it’s all made up sure. But there’s a chance it isn’t and I don’t know why you’d agree to accompany your daughter on a court show knowing she’s going to claim she was in an abusive relationship you let happen under your own roof.
To clarify, in my mind there are two scenarios. Scenario 1: it’s all a lie, this is just a bad breakup with a bunch of drama added. Then why is this father sitting here corroborating her story? Scenario 2: it’s all true, boyfriend was hyper jealous and didn’t allow the girlfriend to work and this all happened under the father’s roof. Both scenarios beg the question, WHERE ARE THE PARENTS? What are they thinking? Do they not know that this cycle of either hyperbolic bullshit or genuine abuse will continue with their grandkids? I feel like a lot of people approach parenting the way I approach playing the sims, which is to play with genetics for a generation and then just let them loose on the world and see what they do.

It could have been a less hostile take on a "shotgun wedding." Sounds to me like the daughter may have been a consistent problem throughout her life and the parents may have just said, "she's learning now."....I would have thrown her out of the house and taken the kids, but to each their own.
