    Air Fryer Crispy Tofu Recipe
    Ingredients:
    1 pound extra firm tofu amzn.to/3EIWuRW
    ¼ cup shoyu amzn.to/3JAxqjF
    ¼ cup brown sugar amzn.to/3qGVDw6
    2 garlic cloves, finely minced
    ½ inch piece of ginger, sliced
    1 tablespoon cornstarch amzn.to/342idHS
    Directions:
    1. For the tofu: Remove the tofu from the packaging and drain the water. Press tofu using a tofu press. If you don’t have a tofu press, place tofu on a paper towel set on a plate. Place another piece of paper towel over the tofu and place a heavy bottom pan, like a cast iron pan, over the tofu. Allow excess liquids to drain for at least 15 minutes.
    2. For the marinade: Add shoyu, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger to a small bowl. Mix until well combined.
    3. Once tofu has been pressed, cut tofu into bite sized cubes. Place tofu on a cutting board and cut your block in half height wise. Stack the two pieces back on each other and cut into 4 strips lengthwise and 4 strips width wise.
    4. Place the cubed up tofu in a baking dish or large bowl. Pour the marinade over and gently toss to combine. Allow to marinate for 15 minutes.
    5. Preheat the air fryer to 400F.
    6. When you are ready to cook, sprinkle cornstarch over the tofu and toss to combine.
    7. Place tofu in the air fryer in a single layer. Cook for 10-20 minutes or until golden brown, tossing the basket halfway through cooking. ENJOY!

      May I ask why your daughter is vegetarian? It must be for dietary reasons only, and not for animal rights ior compassionate reasons because if she is consuming dairy and/or eggs , those industries killed and torture and maim and abuse just as many animals as the meat industry.... just saying...

    This marinade is bombmolicious!!! Wow I made some tofu on Sunday and it turned out so flavorful! I forgot the cornstarch so not crispy but the taste was spectacularly. It didn’t bother me that it wasn’t crispy at all because the flavor did the magic in my opinion. Thank you for sharing this easy and quick tutorial!

    I season the potato starch with granulated garlic and pepper.. toss tofu in it.. then fry the tofu in peanut oil,.then toss in my reduced sticky shoyu mirin garlic green onion glaze..❤️‍🔥

    First time at cooking really.... did things kinda different...experiment.... I have a instant vortex and I used the rotisserie...at 400* for 20 minutes, instead of soy, I used Worcestershire sauce, but the rest was the same. it was not crispy, that could have been a couple of things, I didn't dry tofu enough and/or maybe I needed more cooking time in rotisserie?
    BUT, great, I will do it again and follow your soy recipe.. Thanks

      If not crispy you'll have to take dry the tofu a little more. You can also toss it in the sauce after if you'd prefer.

      Recette de tofu croustillant à la friteuse à air
      Ingrédients:
      1 livre de tofu extra ferme amzn.to/3EIWuRW
      ¼ tasse de shoyu amzn.to/3JAxqjF
      ¼ tasse de cassonade amzn.to/3qGVDw6
      2 gousses d'ail, hachées finement
      ½ pouce de morceau de gingembre, tranché
      1 cuillère à soupe de fécule de maïs amzn.to/342idHS
      Les directions:
      1. Pour le tofu : Retirez le tofu de l'emballage et égouttez l'eau. Presser le tofu à l'aide d'une presse à tofu. Si vous n'avez pas de presse à tofu, placez le tofu sur une serviette en papier posée sur une assiette. Placez un autre morceau de papier absorbant sur le tofu et placez une casserole à fond épais, comme une casserole en fonte, sur le tofu. Laisser l'excès de liquide s'écouler pendant au moins 15 minutes.
      2. Pour la marinade : Ajouter le shoyu, la cassonade, l'ail et le gingembre dans un petit bol. Mélanger jusqu'à ce qu'ils soient bien combinés.
      3. Une fois le tofu pressé, coupez le tofu en cubes de la taille d'une bouchée. Placez le tofu sur une planche à découper et coupez votre bloc en deux dans le sens de la hauteur. Empilez les deux morceaux l'un sur l'autre et coupez-les en 4 bandes dans le sens de la longueur et 4 bandes dans le sens de la largeur.
      4. Placer le tofu coupé en cubes dans un plat allant au four ou un grand bol. Versez la marinade dessus et mélangez délicatement. Laisser mariner 15 minutes.
      5. Préchauffez la friteuse à air à 400F.
      6. Lorsque vous êtes prêt à cuisiner, saupoudrez de fécule de maïs sur le tofu et mélangez.
      7. Placez le tofu dans la friteuse à air en une seule couche. Cuire pendant 10 à 20 minutes ou jusqu'à ce qu'ils soient dorés, en remuant le panier à mi-cuisson. PRENDRE PLAISIR!

    Tried the recipe ... I'm not a vegesaurus mind ... so I just don't get Tofu. Covered with all kinds of batter, or breadcrumbs or spice mixes, it still tastes like you are eating cheesecloth. Back to crumbed chicken tenders for me.

    Its myth that tofu absorbs marinades so I wish vegans would stop lying about that issue. I didn't see a crisp test at the end of the cooking so that too was bad form. It was a nicely presented video though so well done.
