    You know gear is good when you use it at home! That's a sure sign of a winner.

    I went back and forth on what to get my kids. Ultimately I got full size everything so they can just grown into them. My kids are 13, 12, and 8 so on the cusp of growing.

      That makes sense if your kids are flirting with the teenage years where they will get tall pretty quick!

    I especially liked seeing your 2 really cute kids.
    I like the fuel source versatility for the grill. Perfect for creating some BBQ meals for self & family.
    You can't emphasize strongly enough the importance of a Personal Locator Beacon like the Zoleo, for that just in case situation for self or others. Mine is the ACR ResQLink that I bought at the same I bought my Garmin 62STC GPS. Both are ALWAYS on MEeee on all outdoor adventures, not stuffed inside a backpack. My GPS is secured in a pocket on my left shoulder strap, my PLB is in my left pant pocket. Yes, I'm left-handed. Yes, my PLB does only one thing, it sends a strong 5-watt signal to satellites that include my GPS co ords, no back & forth communication like the Zoleo.
    It's the first time I've even heard of or seen a 4-gallong pressurized water container. Nice.
    First time I've seen or heard of Big Agnes Lil Red sleeping bags for kids. Nice.
    Warm Regards from nearby Reno, Nevada.

    Lots of great recommendations, couldn't remember the storage bins you've mentioned previously. Those are added to the list. Going to look at both those sleeping options for the kids. We have 6, I've been using double bags but a few are getting older and should have their own stuff. With so many, those quilts would be great!

    Juat came across both your videos where you reviewed the Skotti. What adaptor would be used to connect a propane tank? How does the grill hold up to wood fires? And last question, what is the brand table you are using? Any reviews on it?

    Good video but wow, you sure like super expensive stuff. Iclimb tables super sturdy, you can get several and build them up or long super stable around $35 each, very similar BBQ with attachments for Isobutane, charcoal, twigs and top attachments for heating up pots or BBQ the same assembly bag etc around $40, collapsable boxes similar to yours with side and top doors $65 for 2 and cheaper if smaller, I’ve used them, stacked them etc while camping and at home with no problem, water filtration Swayer filter about $20 put the water in my MSR 10 litter water storage bag that collapses as you’re using it and rolls for storage saving space, Sea to Summit even has one with a tiny shower attachment, they somewhere around $65-70, sleeping pad you got me on that one I got a Big Agnes and paid more than yours. I’m glad you like your equipment as for me I’d rather shop around mostly in Amazon for quality but fair price, save money for other equipment for example I have a Stanley cooler, just as good as my friend’s Yeti when we compared it in 95 degrees temperatures but a fraction of the cost.

      I think a lot of it is subjective. For an occasional user that's only going 1-2 times a year, then sure these items are going to seem quite pricey. However, with the amount of camping we do, it's important to have gear that's also built around durability/quality. We've had many camping items from Amazon over the years that maybe make it through one season of camping. That's not going to be true for everything, but I wouldn't call most of these items, "super expensive". :)

    Another good video idea might be to compare double wide sleeping pads for couples to use when car camping.

    whoa those sidio crates are expensive. Going to stick with something similar at walmart for $15.

    How is the Skotti to clean? Seems like might be a hassle and messy to pack back up

    • @BackcountryExposure
      @BackcountryExposure  Před 6 měsíci

      Nah it’s really easy actually. It’s all stainless steel so it wipes down easy and then I toss it into the dish washer or just scrub it in the sink and it’s all good.
