Amazing ski region at 3000m altitude: Kaunertaler Glacier

Skiing and snowboarding in the Kaunertal Glacier ski area on the border between Austria and Italy.
The ski area lies between 2150m and 3100m above sea level, offers 55 kilometers of pistes of all levels of difficulty, wide empty pistes, various freeride options and often you don't even have to queue at the lifts.
The Black Ibex, the steepest piste in Europe with a gradient of over 87.85%, has recently been added to the ski area.
The approach via the glacier road is already adventurous, you can either reach the first parking lot at the Ochsenalmlift at 2150m or drive all the way up to the glacier restaurant at 2750m.
The toll for the road is already included in the ski tickets, and the ski area can also be reached by ski bus from the Kaunertal.

Das Skigebiet war echt Mega schön, werden uns das auf jeden Fall merken, auch wenn die Anfahrt nicht ganz einfach ist. Aber die Pisten sind ein Traum und wir haben uns sagen lassen, dass es bei uns teilweise sogar recht voll war 😅 man kann da also wohl wirklich oft sehr entspannt fahren 😊
