If you can pick one of these beauties, I highly, highly recommend. Mine feels more like fine art, that just happens to be a fine instrument as well. Prices have gone up on used mkt lately. Id recommend the SUPER 58 CUSTOM HUMMERS that are on my 2013. Haven't played the SUPER 58 on later years of the AR.
i bought one about a month ago. the first thing i did was take it to my luthier. i had them ditch the plastic nut for bone, fret level and crown, taper the ends. i also put self locking grovers on it. it's a great guitar that loses absolutely nothing to my LP. in fact, it does some things my LP won't do. with the new tuners and the stock tail piece, string changes are super fast, and tuning stability is way better. the control knobs are better than any guitar i've ever owned, by far. you get alot of guitar for your money.
I just sold one of these. It’s an awesome instrument. Plays wonderfully, feels great, an incredible variety of sounds including the best LesPaul tone I’ve ever heard outside of an actual vintage LP. So why did I sell it? Two words: NECK DIVE. If it did not have that issue, I could see it being my primary axe. Instead, my PRS 408 is the main guitar in my stable. Even though this guitar is more sonically versatile.
First, thanks for the review Second, QUIT SMOKING MY FRIEND! Don't stop until you succeed, just keep quitting until you do. It is worth it! Third, "coil tap" do you mean "coil split"? Because those two things are VERY MUCH not the same thing.
Ah you've played both the 78' and this new one. I Lookover the old ones. Before I finish watching this vid ... How would you compare the two? I agree low action to almost buzzing is for me as well. Dig your vids..ALL MEAT AND POTATOES
The 78’ felt more robust. And the pickups, to my recollection, sound very similar. I dug up an old recording with it, I was playing thru an old plexi with a Boss sd-1, then I used my new one thru my Origin 50, with my sd-1...friggin HELLA close. I tried to make a vid about it, but got flagged for copyright, the recording was Zeppelin covers. But anyway, I’m rambling. This guitar is as close as anyone is gonna get to that late 70’s Ibanez feel and sound. Thanks for watching 🤘🏾🤘🏾

I"m awaiting the arrival of my AR325QA this Sunday! I also own a real LP, but wanted a doublecut with a warmer jazz tone. Great in depth review here!

Hey Mel,
Thanks for the review. How heavy is this Ibanez?
I haven’t actually weighed it, but I’d say it’s about 7-8 lbs. well balanced, and plays and sounds killer!🤘🏾. Thanks for watching

And no, I don’t work for Ibanez. Hahaha
Quilted ash? The 325 is usually bubinga top wood.
Sweetwater, okumé back, quilted ash top. That’s what the “QA” is for in the model number. Great guitar tho. 🤘🏾

I know. Ended up with seven of them, somehow. (I think it's the most beautiful guitar made) Cheers
