I saw them perform live in Oakland in 2002. I was there to see Bjork but Matmos stole the show. It was unlike anything I'd ever seen. They 'played' skin, stubble, and other fleshy things with a mic or audio jack (projected for audience viewing), and strummed an animal cage with a bow. I bought a couple of their albums on the way out. Some feeling they cast on the audience. Hard to describe. Powerful.
Anyway I've been looking for this group for 8 years. Almost every single day, I have woken up, thinking of Spondee and Lipostudio. I have never known what they're called. It's been driving me crazy. 8. Years. But I've found them. Just in time, too, because I need new music and this stuff is absolutely perfect for the mood of my life right now.
this always trips me out, im listening to this on my school chromebook and i can hear different things echoing in different ears and it always blows my mind, one of my friends got high once and i played this for him and he started crying, its amazing
