I call bullshit on Battlefield's sniping hitboxes at extremely long range though, it doesn't look right. My guess is that beyond a certain extreme length, the bullet hits even when it's not perfectly on point. The bullet basically gets the width of a cruise missile. You can tell in some of these clips that the enemy is not in line with the trajectory of the bullet when the kill is registered. The mechanic is supposedly dumbed down so that people can get excited over "impossible longshots" and brag about it, keep playing, where they in reality would have missed the target or in closer combat would have made just a hitmarker on the enemy.
I mean, imagine that thin crosshair line that the player is lining up with his enemy. Let's say it's 1 mm on the sniper's screen, basically covering the entire character model of the enemy. Now imagine how wide that 1 mm line becomes 3 km away where the enemy is. Somewhere within that [now approximately 3 m wide] crosshair line, this sniper is supposed to still land a bullet being less than 2 cm wide even when the enemy is off-center at the time of impact? Nah. I just don't quite believe it.
I'd happily be proven otherwise, but until then I remain a sceptic.
@@randomcomment1105 dude, if you have ever sniped at long range then you know that a bullet keeps the same hitbox. It is incredibly difficult to hit headshots at long range because of how accurate you have to be, and it would be really obvious to many players if they changed the hitbox in that way.
@@TheNamesSnek Brother Dude, what you're saying is that when a player hits 2-3 enemies on the same distance (as you can see in some of these clips), the individual crosshair in each shot is exactly equally lined up 2-3 times in a row up down to the nano millimeter needed to translate into the same headshot hitbox 2 km away? Sure, the monitor pixels are big enough to make less room for errors, but I would love for it to be a mere lucky coincidence to line up the crosshair to hit multiple headshots on people that are probably not even exactly lined up next to each other where they crouch or prone. Let's at least assume most enemies had reduced hp and died from being hit by simple bodyshots, that would at least make it somewhat believable, but where are the hitmarkers instead of instant kills? All I see is either a bullet missing entirely or a bullet killing in one shot. Maybe I have watched too few videos, or maybe the snipers were stronger 1-shots in previous Battlefields.
Anyway, 3:53 is my theory demonstrated. Where does he stand when being hit supposedly smack in the head? Not where the small little bullet was going, that's for sure. But I'm open for it to be the case of a latency issue and leave it to rest.
Pretty sure it might've been staged, but I'm pretty sure anyone could make an exception due to it being the shot that would earn level 100.

@@Beanpolr Aggressive recon isn't "boring cod shit" It's the hardest and most skillful way to play the game. Keep in mind those players are aiming precisely and hitting all headshots at a rapid rate. It's the PEAK of skill in Battlefield. YOU could not do it...
@@OdysseyK I never said it didn't take skill, but I would be lying if I said it wasn't boring. It's cool for about 20 minutes, and then you realize people have been doing the exact same shit for literal decades, and it's just the same thing over and over after a while.

6:41 As a guy play sniper in BF4 for 7 years i would like to say my honest opinion, BigE1293 is the best sniper player i played against and with i don't want to say just in long range, he is the best sniper in every way you can imagine.
Now there are such people in every battle (cheats are evil)... maybe not everything is clean in this video. There is a cheat that smoothly adjusts the scope and fires a shot by holding the right mouse button.
I love these kinds of long range compilations, really satisfying.

When I used to play Battlefield 4 I was able to consistently get 1200m headshots that would get banned quite often. Some of those shots were enemies running too.

I once got 6 kills in a row with m98b sitting on the side of the transport heli while the pilot was flying crazy on lost islands. One of the dudes I killed said in chat " this ain't sniper elite multiplayer. You got the wrong game son."

The most ridiculous sniping I've ever done was in Hardline. 2 quick medium distance headshots, then no-scoped for the memes and got a kill. Sadly I was on PS3 and didn't have a recording device, but it was amazing. Given, it was the 300 Knockout back when it insta-killed, but still amazing

I just reinstalled BF4 on PC last week. You can actually still find some really good lobbies. Plus Im surprised at how well the graphics still hold up. I'm loving it.

Originally I didn't know we could snipe players until I accidentally shot a little bird player in BF3 and have been using lmgs on them ever since. Also I think the it's Not Impossible BF3 video kinda encouraged others to snipe pilots more

Listen... The first clip.... I was the original who came up with that shot. We topped it tho, get 4 people 2 on opposite teams. Commandeer the transport helicopters fly at the edge of the boundary line land your helicopter sideways down the street, you have your pilot's take off at the same time throw that helicopter sideways going out of bounds, you then have a timer the pilots have to right themselves at the perfect time the snipers both have to be aiming so that you will see the glint of the scope fire that shot before the timer runs out....It was the second year that game was out so don't even ask what that distance was. (Wish we took a little more serious and recorded it...) 4 people achieved this shot that I'm aware of myself included....was on xbox360 if interested to know. So that is the longest distance headshot possible and how to achieve it. It wasn't easy so I wish any and everyone who tries it the best of luck.

If I ever get sniped long range by some sniper at the edge of the map, I make it the objective for the rest of the game to sneak behind them and stab them. Then I hide in a bush and wait for them to parachute in the area, wait till they get comfortable again and stab em again.
