    Kobe’s has some of the absolute best scoring performances of all time in an era where some teams still averaged 90 points a game. Averaged 30+ 7 and 7 in the playoffs as a 21 year old

      Yeah just the overall play was so much worse before the 80s then so you can't really count it as much. They had some great players that woulda been HOF in any era, but they were playing against some dogshit. The level of play increased dramatically in the 80s.

      Yeah. I don’t agree. It’s not about 3s v 2s it’s about career avg in points. Pete, Kareem, and whoever #3 was wouldn’t out score Lebron, Steph, or KD. Those three alone probably avg more career points than anyone on that bird except for Jordan

      @@anthonytiaparker2986 Nah you cant just go by career ppg. The game is played way faster these days. Teams have way more offensive possessions which leads to more shots. You add in the spacing/zone defense and take away hand checking then there's no comparison. Steph wouldn't be steph in the 80's/90's. KD and Lebron would do good, but Lebrons not pure scorer like the others on this list.

    Putting Maravich at #5 is a stretch but he seems to always be overlooked, largely for not being on winning teams. He invented showtime BEFORE Magic Johnson.

    Love seeing Pete Maravich on somebodys list. I’d go as far as to say he’s the most underrated player in the history of basketball. Way ahead of his time. Would be great in todays NBA

    i get that KD hasn’t put up gigantic numbers like some of these guys but at some point being the most flawless offensive weapon on the court has to matter. nobody got handles, shoots, finishes, passes, FT, all while being 7 foot, KD gotta be a top 5 scorer bro

    Good stuff. Maddog actually gives history lessons everytime he’s on. Great Duo for the show. I may be the only guy that will say this but when it comes to scoring I’ll have to put Keem the Dream over Wilt. I would also have to put Benard King in my top 5 far as Scoring

    I can’t believe KD isn’t on that list. He is lethal. The most skilled scorer I have ever seen and I’ve seen them all. Inside, outside, mid range, long range, anyway you want it he will give it to you. Most big time scorers get their buckets by going to the line and he KD doesn’t need to.

    Pete played 26 games for the Celtics in 79, in those games he averaged about 17 minutes a game, 11.4 points a game and was shooting 75% from 3 point line. He would probably shoot a 3 every other game, he wasn't jacking them up, but still that's impressive.

      @@masterofthecraft1990 you just simply dont know basketball sir. he has a career average of 27 points per game, on 58.7 percent true shooting, and 35.7 percent from three. It is arguable, that he is the single most unstopabble force at the rim in the history of basketball. Exceptions might be shaq or wilt, but thats neither here nor there. He will end up as the number one leading scorer in nba history, and at that point, I dont care what you say, he will have a permanent spot in the top 5 greatest scorers ever.

    My list will be Jordan, Durant, Chamberlain, Kobe and Lebron. I see these guys are the most unstoppable scorers that play winning basketball. Curry is great but more stoppable than these guys in my opinion.

    Unpopular opinion: Averaging more PPG doesn't make you a better scorer, just a more prolific scorer
    KD is number 1 all time in my eyes as a scorer

    Speaking of all-time greatest scorers, you HAVE to include MJ, Wilt, Kobe and KD.
    As for the last spot on a top 5 list, there are several contenders: Kareem, James Harden, Allen Iverson, LeBron James, Steph Curry, Jerry West, George Gervin and even T-Mac.
    Pete Maravich was a great scorer, but should be somewhere around 20th place.

He brings up the attributes and characteristics that Durant have and is capable of while Mad Dog is bringing up facts and of what these players actually did….
