Comparing Boston in The Last of Us to Boston in real life Twitter: @StephenAymond ...My only regret is that I didn't shoot / edit in 60 fps. Seeing the game in 24 fps feels bad
Apoligies for the shaky cam footage. I downloaded a pro app to capture 10-bit video, but I didn't realize that the app would disable my camera's stabilization. I tried tracking the footage myself, but stabilizing wide-angle footage created a warped shake to it, so I had to choose the lesser of two evils with every shot. Oh well, what can you do...
I visited Boston after playing the game but back then I didn't know Boston was in the game. I would surely have visited the places myself. Thanks for the video!
Outside the Massachusetts state building there are some swan boats which are an awesome nod to the Boston Commons. Love walking around there and it’s the most recognizable in the game.
5:41 - Also relocated on Beacon St, across from the State House, is Boston Common's gazebo (placed in between the Shaw Memorial and relocated Park St T stop). Beacon St is also flooded with water and a wrecked Swan Boat from Boston Public Garden is present.
Thank you so much! this was very informative and interesting 👍 i appreciate that you showed videos of the locations instead of pictures and where they're based on the map!
I love Tlou, but i live in England so sadly i havent been able to go away to e.g Boston to visit these places. So seeing them not worn down or covered in fungus, is surreal to me! Id adore to be able to visit Boston or even Pittsburgh one day. It was a few years ago now but im pretty sure my cousin got to visit locations from the wwz game, not the film. I was so jealous lol. Anyways loved the vid, and i hope to see more like it!
great job dude! By the way, I thought the shaky camera was cool, it gives more energy to the real scenes, don't worry about it, great job! I'll be waiting to watch the next episodes
Hope you had a good trip. I guess I'm late to respond, but following the Freedom Trail will basically get you to where you need to go to see all TLOU locations
This is such a cool video. I loved the settings of 'The Last of Us' so seeing how it's world correlates to the real one is interesting. Your editing and narration made it so easy to follow as well.
Fantastic video with a lot of effort! More fans need to see this! I am from Italy and I visited Boston a few months ago and I must say, thanks to Fallout 4 and The Last of Us, I had the weird feeling of have already been there...

You can stabilize it in your video editor 😁 or just take a picture 😀
@@HappyDude1 i tried stabalizing in post, but because i shot with a wide lens, it ended up warbling the footage a lot, so i just left it unstable
As a boston local i cant believe they even got the Park Street subway area spot on

I am currently staying on Boston, so nice to see this
You already know this is up my alley entirely, so please release the rest and make more thank you 🙌

INCREDIBLE QUALITY! Your effort and hard work is evident. Greetings from Argentina.
Thank you so much! I'm trying my best 🙏
@@SmooviesTV And it shows! Trust me, it looks beautiful and the research you've made is incredible.
One location in Boston in the game was State Street Station, where the MBTA's Orange Line and Blue Line meet.
I actually went down there to see how the two stations meet, and unfortunately they are nothing like the game, so I didn't include them
Wow, forgot the last of us starts in Boston, I just visited there last year. This is so cool to see!
Can’t wait for the next video!
thankyou for existing
Thank you for this video, I’m visiting Boston right now and this video has been a great guide !
Hope you had a good trip. I guess I'm late to respond, but following the Freedom Trail will basically get you to where you need to go to see all TLOU locations
@@SmooviesTV I did haha and it was great, thanks for the guide !
OMG great! Well done!
Too few views for how well these 2 videos are done
I just got back from Boston today lol
This was enjoyable to watch even with zero knowledge of The Last of Us. Will be keen to see what you'd like to make & showcase next.
More games in real-life things for sure, but not just comparing locations!
lol, stay tuned, i have a new hour-long vid coming out in a few months
This is cool!
Mall could also be cambridge side galleria
Nice video bro
Thank bro
Amazing❤

Thank you so much! It's a personal goal of mine to makes things as digestible as possible
This is awesome. But I noticed you didn't do the museum
The museum doesn't exist IRL as far as I know. In the game, the museum is in a generic building attached to the back of the Old State House
Please more
I'd be very interested in a visit to the locations for the TV show. I'd like to know why they swapped out Pittsburgh for Kansas City.
I believe Mazin said that the Canadian city they were filming in looked closer to Kansas City than Pittsburgh, so they simply changed it for the story
f””” great video mate keep it upp!!!🎉
Can You do seattle Form Part two
i absolutely plan to!
I'd say the three main places you should cover about Seattle are the big needle, sound view stadium, and the island.
👍👍👍
