@@CUTnPASTEreacts I third that. You have watched Floor and Henk sing The Phantom of the Opera, so you know what kind of a singer Henk is. "Little young Emma (24 yo)" singing with Henk, this "vocal monster" (I mean that in a good way) is way more than just courageous. It hinges on borderline crazy. But the way she does it, is really impressive and Henk is impressed, his face very clearly shows that. His singing too. He starts quite "reserved"... Enough spoilers
Thinking about this, while I write, I would say it is my favourite performance from that whole show. For me, Emma is the most impressive artist on this show. She is only 24 years old, "just" a CZcams singer and simply does not give a f*** about anything (like performing next to these well established artist) and just sings. It is easy to be impressed by Floor, she is just that good and Emma is nowhere near Floor's abilities, yet. But she just sang Strong to Floor... f*** And singing a duet with Henk Poort, a classical song... I can't wait to see your reaction to this.

Floor picked Emma as her favourite in that episode. Well deserved.
Wellwell, we have an important lesson here. I (and maybe some others too) thought that Emma is just a superficial "human candy". But we were wrong. She picked the most personal of Floor's songs and executed it very well. She managed to make our mighty Queen (and all of us too) to cry😭. Excellent choice from her and so lovely performance.

Samantha singing Nightwish's "Our decades in the sun" in Dutch is worth checking out too 🙂
My absolute favorite part of that entire performance is the last two seconds of the video when they cut back to Emma and you see her beaming after receiving such praise from Floor. That smile and that appreciation is not something that can be faked, and you can just see in her eyes how much that meant to her

This cover reveals that Floor is not only able to give but also to receive emotions. Emma really hit her so nicely, so softly.

Emma was the performer that surprised me the most in Beste Zangers 2019. This was glorious! I strongly recommend, if only for your own edification, Emma and Henk performing their duet that same evening.

Rolf is also worth a couple of reactions from you - both very emotional in their own way - First an upbeat salsa version of "Hotel California" for Floor, with an amazing backing by the house band, and then a hard hitting version of Solo Otra Vez(All By Myself) for Samantha, with Rolf absolutely killing the high note towards the end..

Nightwish "Our Decades In the Sun" lyrics video. The song is about mothers and fathers. Floor is going to make you cry again. They were crying while recording it. I think they have never performed the song live. Lots of very emotional stories in the comment section of that video
Samantha sang it for Floor on BZ in Dutch with her own lyrics.
Floor sang it on her solo tour after BZ. I'm not sure if there is a good quality video of that.
How a small country like ours is getting so much attention. Lovin’ it. Try the Bohemian Rhapsody version of Og3ne Home Isolation version. Queen themselves loved it and blessed the recording! How cool is that. Keep it up man! 🇳🇱
That's the reason why I recommend always the version of Beste Zangers with the subtitles instead of only the song without the context and reactions of the other singers.
I've been pigging out on Beste Zangers 2019 and I've noticed that Emma cannot stop smiling when Floor sings. I've heard that they have formed a bond; It is clear to see how much Emma came to admire Floor.

About 5 or 6 countries have a similar version of this show, I do also watch the Belgium one that had Sharon den Adel in it from within temptation. I hope she will do the Dutch version also, or maybe Simone Simons.!!
The show had its brilliant years, like this one of the vid and the 2 years before, but also had a few less seasons like this year's and a few years ago. (this year's version was recorded in December 2019 because the host was going to host the Eurovision song contest in may, but he was sick in December so a few friends of him that are also known singers took over as hosts.
Their band is awesome and are also the band for many other singers and performances. Most amazing to me is that they record the 6-7 episodes in 4 days. So that means that half of the episodes you see are recorded in the early Evening and the next later that evening (that's when they are more emotional mostly, not sure if that is from the music, hard work, drinking or for some: all.. ;)

I think it could be so so amazing, such a show of unity and understanding given our current environment. But knowing us, it would probably be turned into some sort of survival competition and completely ruin what makes this show special.
This show is great, so much talent in an environment focused on the music not some not some tacky talent show or competition.
You can check every episode of this season, you will not be disappointed.

Emma was one of many happy surprises that season, in the first episode a lot of people refused to believe she sang live and were sure it was prerecorded, which it wasnt as she proved each episode after that, and the tiny little fact that the singers get 1 go at it, mess up? tough luck, "we dont do second takes". (she was performing James Brown's "Sex Machine")
Fun bits, the guy you expected to cry was too captivated and shocked i guess cause he is an emotional guy too hehehe
The other guy, lol he lost it 60 times at least, him being in touch with his emotions as well.
I wont suggest all the songs from that evening for Floor but... i will suggest 1 strongly and 1 for fun cause its a really fun version.

Trust me, take a break but go through the whole show and experience the most beautiful gift. These artists enjoying each other’s company and performing to each other with love and respect, something that sadly we don’t see here in the U. S.
And remember, there were eleven seasons of this show before the 2019 season with Floor. And they did another season this year, if you can believe it! I have not watched any of the new stuff from this year but it is up on YT. Maybe not translated to English yet, but it's there. :)
Haha, nice one 11 seasons... I'll translate them all for you. Only the songs for Floor, obviously. You'll also learn more about Floor and her education, how she got into metal. So if not to react to, i would just recommend them for that.
Thankk you for this reaction. Very powerfull lyrics. Top class performance by Emma . Floor chokes up every time she performs this song. Also worthwhile to look into her solo tour she had earlier this year.
If you want to explore more of Nightwish I suggest .. Look at a Dutch documentary about Floors Rock Acadamy days. That leads up to Nightwish performing at Tampere in Finland. Then react to The Greatest Show on Earth , Sleeping sun. Then Marko singing The Islander.

I think you should do the Henk and Emma duet as the last one. I know you came for Floor, but now you have seen both Henk and Emme sing. And honestly, their duet is one of the most beautiful songs from the show. If not the most. And to think Henk did it the same night he sang the duet with Floor is just mindblowing.
You make a casual comment about the band. They are really good. Watch at 11:15 Floor speaks to Emma but also to the band. To Emma: "You did it so beautifully!" To the Band "You too!" Emma turns to the band and claps her hands and says "Thanks!"
Yeah I found out later that Floor works with them on her Solo performances since this show. That a testament all on it's own how good the are. ✌️✌️

There is sooo much to come. From Nightwish, "Poet and the Pendulum" "Greatest show on earth" (please go for versions with subtitles and do a little research beforehand) and ones you turned back to "Beste Zangers" look at Henk Poort performing "Sound of Silence"
Floor added this to her solo concerts right after this even though she had not sung this in a long time. Emma was a surprise and I hope after covid she goes on to be a star in her own right.
Floor's mother still has to deal with Rheumatism on a daily basis.
I fully understand that you will not check out every song at Dear Singers but do have a closer look at the other songs in Floor’s episode. For instance to Henk Poort covers ‘The Sound of Silence’ by Disturbed and Rolf Sanchez covers ‘Hotel California’. You’ll like these I’m sure.
Great reaction again, thank you, I really loved it. I think you should possibly concentrate more on reactions to songs, if you'd ask me. You are really good at it, explain things, let us know how you feel, feels good and honest. Just love it.
In 2019 they really had a great group of singers together for the programme, and they got it to another level, the show, but also the singers themselves, they really bonded over the two week period they were there for the video recordings, and pushed each other in a fantastic way. I guess it helped that Floor starte the whole proceedings with her interpretation of the "Vilja Lied":).. I loved this jazzy style Emma used for her performance of this song.
BTW, Floor has always problems singing this song herself, because she gets really emotional. And with her mother present, she may not even be able to finish the song without crying.
Emma was (and still is) the most famous CZcamsr in the Netherlands. She had over a million followers when she took part in the show, and less than a year later, partly thanks to the show, it has become over 2 million ....
Finally, the presenter, Jan Smit, is quite a famous singer in the Netherlands as well. He performs Dutch country/folk-style music most of the time. Not really my thing, but he holds his own too.

I can relate to this song. I lost my mother over ten years ago to a condition called Primary Progressive Aphasia. Which first robbed my mother of the ability to talk, but she always had a smile. Even when my mother began to lose her other motor skills, she always had a smile. Emma does a beautiful verson of this song.

Seen Floor in january at her solo show after participating in Beste Zangers.
Powerful, melodic, emotional.
She blew me away with her versatility for she did al the songs she did in Beste Zangers and some of After Forever and Revamp.
As she did this one it teared me up (65 y old bloke).

This is probably about the fifth time I have heard this song, by Floor herself, and Emma's version. I don't think I want to hear it again though, it brings back memories of my family, first my mother who died of lung cancer in 1983, next my little sister, who died from a brain tumour with secondary cancer in the lung in 2011, next my dad who died of a slow, cruel devastating dementia in 2018. Yes, when I hear this song, tears roll down my face, and I feel like I have swallowed a brick, that lodges in my throat. I know exactly what this song is all about.

I'm not trying to be rude but I've been watching a lot of your reactions and you pause wayyy too much try and pause once or twice
No offence taken, I get that ✌️✌️. How ever usually when I pause less the video's get blocked from youtube. So I try to find a balance , a few times i've even needed to add pauses while editing to get the video to post on CZcams.
