Now I've heard Henk sing Phantom of the Opera, Disturbed's version of Sound of Silence, Sweet Curse (a Revamp song with Floor) and now a country song and he killed all of them. He could walk into any venue on the planet and wow the audience. The man is just amazing. He could make a fortune as a country singer if he were so inclined. He's just magical.
I have to agree, it really did sound like this is what he does professionally, Sing Country I mean. He's just ridiculously talented.

I think, you know the song 'Vincent' from Don mc Lean about Vincent van Gogh. Henk did sing the song in his native language (Dutch) for Tim in the show..
i ones read a comment from some one that said he found the male version of floor in henk just as her he can sing everything he wants and still be just henk
Henk is awesome, and a vocal chameleon!
There aren't many baritones that can hit that low note, and Henk can also sing up into tenor!
And in any style he pleases.

I've said it before and i'll say it again, Henk was the anchor of that season and group of lovely people, Floor was the Queen, but he was the King, no doubt in my mind.
Also an idea i cannot shake, a "what if" ... What if he was born in Tennessee or Nashville.. i bet he'd be one of the big names alongside Glen Campbell, Hank Williams, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristoffersen and Johnny Cash.
He just has the voice and swagger for it, but indeed like you said.. any style he did that season, if you didnt know better, you'd think that is what he does for a living.
That season was amazing when just looking at the talent there alone, but Henk gave it an extra load of "feel-good" making the season even better.

@@michieldame701 Maybe for foreigners learning Dutch the different accents and fast tempo can make it harder to follow. As with any language. But for us native Dutch Henk is speaking perfectly normal and super easy to follow.

@@CUTnPASTEreacts Opera and musical singers such as Henk Poort don't just sing their part it is also about acting/playing a role in an opera/musical. So that is why he do so well all other parts and because he is a very experienced guy.

Henk was born and raised in a part of Amsterdam known as De Jordaan. He sings in that well-known dialect. The song is original by Andre Hazes. Andre Hazes was a Dutch folk singer who was popular from the late 1970s with his contemporary form of the song of life, Hazes distinguished himself by singing sentimental songs in simple language.
