So like facts about shyamalans avatar, star wars holiday special, indiana jones crystal skull, GoT season 8 and spinoff video games like mario hotel And to put icing on the cake put brennan in that episode

Theres something legit heartwarming on the real life skills question that Ify so INSTANTLY knew the answer cause hes got a kid. I think just the dichotomy of his insane energy and nerdiness contrasted to him just also clearly nailing the adulting in his life is sweet
Umm actually, most things can cut through the Life Fibers in Kill La Kill, the fibers just regenerate faster than weapons can cut through them. The reason the scizzors and Bakuzan are effective are because they stop Life Fibers from regenerating

No the way that they stay cut is (and this is in world lore) if a weapon made of special material cuts them from both sides. It's always my favorite thing is when Ify comes out with a really obscure bit of trivia, nails the thing that's wrong, and then just iffs it because he forgot the one rule.
Um actually, not all stands in JJBA are named in reference to musicians or songs; in Stardust Crusaders, where the stands first appeared, they were named after a card of the Major Aracana, some in combination with a colour (like Magician's Red or Star Platinum) and a select few after Egyptian gods towards the end.

I know. It hurts to see everyone forget large groupings of genres.And there's some seriously well known memed stuff, like Ouran High, Lucky Star and Haruhi Suzumiya. Plus, this came out last year during the Isekai boom. So many more things other than basic shounen should have been mentioned. A real challenge would be seeing if anyone recognizes the 4kids dub series. Seriously, this is why I can't stand fan quiz panels at anime conventions. There's always clear bias, where either it's all generic shounen, or only niche stuff.

None of those other models were "Gundams" they were mobile suits with their own call signs and makes, such a GM, Zaku, Gouf, Big Zam or Dom to name a few

Um actually eustass kidd isnt a cyborg. He only has magneto powers which he uses to make a metallic arm for himself. He doesn't have bionic parts as substitutes for organs EDIT : currently a cyborg
A cybernetic limb is just a mechanical limb that can be controlled by its wearer. So a man with just a plain ol' metal arm would count as a cyborg if he is able to mentally control said arm and make it behave like a regular limb.

I gotta say I do appreciate this season being more single-topic focused. It adds to the coherence. it would also sometimes be mildly disheartening to see a topic or fandom I love mentioned in an Um, Actually episode, only for there to be literally one question. Obviously some variety is necessary and fun, but a single theme (like "Anime") is still broad enough to cover a lot, while feeling less scattered.

Um actually "not a single character in one piece has worn an eyepatch" is only correct if we're specifically only referring to named characters. As in Thriller Bark the 3 headed dog-fox they call "Cerberus" has an eyepatch on 1 of the heads. And don't tell me that it's not an eyepatch just because it doesn't look like a classic black sling. It's "a covering worn over the eye to protect if it is damaged or sore" just like Cambridge dictionary defines an eyepatch.

As one of the few who watched Akikan it was acturally pretty fun. Also Um actually you could argue that, the medical condition that makes your nose bleed when your pulse gets elevated, thereby bursting the blood vessels in the nose, has a connection to arousal. Other than that I loved the video.
Um actually Eustass Kidd is definitely not a cyborg. Cyborgs have to have technological improvements to their own body. Kidd lost an arm and uses his magnetic devil fruit to create an arm out of scrap metal whenever he is fighting so it is a prosthetic. Not in any way a cyborg.

While it's correct to say Paramecia, Zoan and Logia are the 3 general categories there are subtypes within those categories such as special Paramecia, Ancient Zoan and Mythical Zoan (though this might be getting too pedantic) - Logias in general let you create, control and transform into a natural element. This being said there is 1 exception. Ex Admiral Aokiji Kuzan has the Hie Hie no Mi. While within the English Dub it's called the Ice Ice Fruit it's actually the Chilly Chilly Fruit. The different being his power is not to control ice, it is to control cold (with which he creates ice). Thus he's not creating an his devil fruit element (as there is no cold element), he's manipulating water in the air to create ice with his power instead. - It's only speculation that eating a second devil fruit will make it's user explode. It was stated by Jabra in a panicked state, a character while not stupid is certainly not someone to take as fact, especially when he's recalling an offhand comment he heard while panicking. - Consuming a fruit does not only deprive you of the ability to swim, you lose all strength when submerged in liquid (and therefore don't have the strength to swim) - It's not just seawater that deprives Devil Fruit users of their strength, it's any standing water eg. they also lose their strength when bathing in freshwater baths

I actually remember when they revealed in Eureka 7 that they were actually on Earth. I believe Eureka was being possessed by the spirit of the giant mushroom thing invading the planet and told him that when the fungus landed on Earth, humanity took off in a spaceship and happened to return to the planet 10000 years later after forgetting where they had originally come from. (I could be way off base, it's been over a decade since I've watched it on TV, out of order cause they were re-runs.)
That's basically accurate. They were actually in the coral and communicating with its collective consciousness (from which Eureka remains separate), and that time frame is sort of shaky, since humanity clearly has been back at the forgotten Earth for dozens if not hundreds or even a thousand years building cities and reproducing, but that's the answer given, and official content locks in the events of the show as beginning in 12005 AD.
SungWon Cho looks like he is both the emotionless villain (or hero depending on the anime) combined with the bumbling buffoon that dies early the Battle Royale-esque anime/manga series.

Kill la Kill is a very fan-service heavy production, but it is way more compelling of a series than it has any right to be. I highly recommend it. The art direction is great, the animation is gorgeous, and the music is amazing. Blumencranz is a leitmotif for the villains and I absolutely love every time it crops up.

UM ACTUALLY, Super Fly is its own stand. The radio tower already exists, and IT has the stand Super Fly. If you try to leave the tower, you get turned into part of the tower, and if you deal damage to the tower, it redirects that damage to you.
I don't really know the status for if you say Um actually before your buzzer goes off, my assumption is that they gave it to him because no one else had buzzed in so he would have gotten it if he had just restated it again. Its a bit different from when someone doesn't say um actually at all
Oh, I have actually seen the first film released under Studio Ghibli. It was "Laputa: Castle in the Sky", and it's such a great film. The theme song that plays at the end will get stuck in your head for, like, a decade though, so watch at your own peril. I just love how you can see the thread of Ghibli's distinctive 'alternate future technology' designs even with that early of a film. It's such a unique mixture of steampunk, diesel-punk, and high fantasy and it's just lovely. I'll have to go back and watch it again sometime.

Um Actually, some of them _are_ post-apocalyptic. Akira is set after the titular character exploded over Tokyo. Evangelion is set after the First Impact destroyed most of the known world.
It was Miyazaki's first film directorial debut, Castle of Cagliostro, but he'd directed an anime before that and had done animation and such, leading up to this, like many directors: Shinsuke Terasawa of Catwoman Hunted did episode direction and the like leading up to this, which I think might be his first proper directorial role of this magnitude.
Man, you'd think that my knowing the exact years that Eva and Cowboy Bebop are set in would have helped me out on that shiny question, but it was really offset by my barely remembering Akira and not having seen any of the others.

I gotta say I do appreciate this season being more single-topic focused. It adds to the coherence. it would also sometimes be mildly disheartening to see a topic or fandom I love mentioned in an Um, Actually episode, only for there to be literally one question. Obviously some variety is necessary and fun, but a single theme (like "Anime") is still broad enough to cover a lot, while feeling less scattered.

Um actually "not a single character in one piece has worn an eyepatch" is only correct if we're specifically only referring to named characters. As in Thriller Bark the 3 headed dog-fox they call "Cerberus" has an eyepatch on 1 of the heads. And don't tell me that it's not an eyepatch just because it doesn't look like a classic black sling. It's "a covering worn over the eye to protect if it is damaged or sore" just like Cambridge dictionary defines an eyepatch.
Um actually, at 11:14 they already corrected themselves stating "there is an obscure eyepatch character."
Um actually, while a bandage can be a substitute for an eyepatch, you wouldn't say an actual eyepatch was a bandage. Same reason you wouldn't call a mask covering someone's eye to be an eyepatch. So you're wrong on your correction.
I would actually say Eustace Kid isn’t a cyborg. He had a metal arm but it’s not like mechanical or anything. It’s just scrap metal being held in The shape of an arm by Kids magnetism.

As one of the few who watched Akikan it was acturally pretty fun. Also Um actually you could argue that, the medical condition that makes your nose bleed when your pulse gets elevated, thereby bursting the blood vessels in the nose, has a connection to arousal. Other than that I loved the video.
Um actually Eustass Kidd is definitely not a cyborg. Cyborgs have to have technological improvements to their own body. Kidd lost an arm and uses his magnetic devil fruit to create an arm out of scrap metal whenever he is fighting so it is a prosthetic. Not in any way a cyborg.
Yeah, there's even a technical definition in One Piece itself, I think, like Franky and probably Queen more recently, there's only so many
Prosthetics make you a cyborg if you can control the part like any other limb.

Um actually, you can get a nose bleed from arousal, if you have already thin/damaged capillaries in your nose the increased heart rate and blood pressure spike can cause minor nosebleeds
so the fact this is super common in japaneses media means they have a genetic predisposition to thin nasal capillaries?
Um actually, zoan aren't animal specific, like the human fruit ate by chopper or the human fruit version Buddha ate by Sengoku. You can be a mythical version so kind of a god.
Also, um actually, I you eat a devil fruit you can't swim AT ALL because seastone is present in almost all waters so devil fruit users are affected by it even in a bath.

Um actually, there are a few things wrong with the second One Piece question.
- There are more than 3 types of devil fruit. While it's correct to say Paramecia, Zoan and Logia are the 3 general categories there are subtypes within those categories such as special Paramecia, Ancient Zoan and Mythical Zoan (though this might be getting too pedantic)
- Logias in general let you create, control and transform into a natural element. This being said there is 1 exception. Ex Admiral Aokiji Kuzan has the Hie Hie no Mi. While within the English Dub it's called the Ice Ice Fruit it's actually the Chilly Chilly Fruit. The different being his power is not to control ice, it is to control cold (with which he creates ice). Thus he's not creating an his devil fruit element (as there is no cold element), he's manipulating water in the air to create ice with his power instead.
- It's only speculation that eating a second devil fruit will make it's user explode. It was stated by Jabra in a panicked state, a character while not stupid is certainly not someone to take as fact, especially when he's recalling an offhand comment he heard while panicking.
- Consuming a fruit does not only deprive you of the ability to swim, you lose all strength when submerged in liquid (and therefore don't have the strength to swim)
- It's not just seawater that deprives Devil Fruit users of their strength, it's any standing water eg. they also lose their strength when bathing in freshwater baths
There is no such thing as too pedantic for this game, and you didn't say um, actually

@@Jooberwak Movie Fruits aren't canon and the Mochi Mochi no Mi is the only confirmed use of a "special Paramecia" fruit as named above. Basically it means it acts like a Logia without having to be a natural element

Um Actually holding a Death Note in it of itself doesn’t give you many powers. Mainly its use is to give the holder who was previously an owner of the Death Note their memories back before they gave up ownership.
All the other powers are either by writing in the book to kill people, touching it which lets you see the Shinigami who dropped it, or through the Shinigami eye deal.
Being able to write in the book is one of the powers, arguably the most important one
I actually remember when they revealed in Eureka 7 that they were actually on Earth. I believe Eureka was being possessed by the spirit of the giant mushroom thing invading the planet and told him that when the fungus landed on Earth, humanity took off in a spaceship and happened to return to the planet 10000 years later after forgetting where they had originally come from. (I could be way off base, it's been over a decade since I've watched it on TV, out of order cause they were re-runs.)
That's basically accurate. They were actually in the coral and communicating with its collective consciousness (from which Eureka remains separate), and that time frame is sort of shaky, since humanity clearly has been back at the forgotten Earth for dozens if not hundreds or even a thousand years building cities and reproducing, but that's the answer given, and official content locks in the events of the show as beginning in 12005 AD.
Legal Limit would be a great name for a shiny question where the players have to pick which adult-looking anime characters are actually under 18.
I'm glad they tied because the entire episode I couldn't decide which of the two I was rooting for since I love them both
SungWon Cho looks like he is both the emotionless villain (or hero depending on the anime) combined with the bumbling buffoon that dies early the Battle Royale-esque anime/manga series.
Um actually, Inosuke (pronounced ee-no-skay) is not the only demon slayer to use 2 blades. The Sound Pillar, Tengen, uses 2 blades as well.
Um actually, the question is phrased as “[he] stands out from the other recruits”. Tengen is about the furthest thing from a recruit, making that aspect of the question phrased correctly.

Kill la Kill is a very fan-service heavy production, but it is way more compelling of a series than it has any right to be. I highly recommend it. The art direction is great, the animation is gorgeous, and the music is amazing. Blumencranz is a leitmotif for the villains and I absolutely love every time it crops up.
um actually if you’re going by when the storyline actually takes place for the shiny question, the main story in code geass starts in 2017… it states so in the first episode

UM ACTUALLY, Super Fly is its own stand. The radio tower already exists, and IT has the stand Super Fly. If you try to leave the tower, you get turned into part of the tower, and if you deal damage to the tower, it redirects that damage to you.

Oh, I have actually seen the first film released under Studio Ghibli. It was "Laputa: Castle in the Sky", and it's such a great film. The theme song that plays at the end will get stuck in your head for, like, a decade though, so watch at your own peril. I just love how you can see the thread of Ghibli's distinctive 'alternate future technology' designs even with that early of a film. It's such a unique mixture of steampunk, diesel-punk, and high fantasy and it's just lovely. I'll have to go back and watch it again sometime.

Um Actually, some of them _are_ post-apocalyptic. Akira is set after the titular character exploded over Tokyo. Evangelion is set after the First Impact destroyed most of the known world.

It was Miyazaki's first film directorial debut, Castle of Cagliostro, but he'd directed an anime before that and had done animation and such, leading up to this, like many directors: Shinsuke Terasawa of Catwoman Hunted did episode direction and the like leading up to this, which I think might be his first proper directorial role of this magnitude.
