One honorable mention for me is the Web Strider armor because of its morale bonus to Dexterity. Not game changing by any means but still one of the most useful armors in the game for me.
It can be useful indeed for ranged characters especially who are DEX based and don't rely on AC. Later we can get the DLC3 Leather Armor for +4 Profane to DEX instead.
Getting the metamagic rod in my Sorcerer Azata playthrough was nuts. He was already godtier (even though he was built primarily for RP) and then was given an item that made him even more powerful than he already was **THREE TIMES A DAY.** Poor Areelu went down in just a round or two. Being able to cast two spells through the beautiful metamagic rod in a single turn was just perfect.
@@cRPGBro I think that is fixed now. But still spawn from summons and last stand specifically helps, ut can summon 9 spider if the first hit 'kills' your char and the next 9 hit also hit it in the same round

I honestly dont think advising taking bane of spirit as a substitute for ascendent element is great advice, primarily from a quality of life standpoint. You really dont want the hassle of maintaining this buff on every applicable character, and the damage isnt completely trivial if you are buffing every party member every round. Its a great way of overcoming swarm DR as you mention, and other infrequent resistances. But should an elemental specialist or kineticist skip ascendent element in their respective element? Not a chance. There isnt a reasonable alternative for making Camellia's spirit weapon effective unfortunately, but even then, an average of 10.5 per hit on one character, with the combination of a 1 minute buff and a buff that needs refreshing every round is probably not worth the hassle. Secondarily, there is vulnerability and other damage type specific bonuses, most notably fire. For a scorching/hellfire ray specialist, you can add 3d6+5 per ray to your casts, or 9d6+15 in total, which is pretty substantial, but this only works if cast as fire. Conversion to force breaks the effect. Even worse, in chapter 5, there is the crusader relic Treacherous Flame (I would give this a mention as one of the more notable crusader relics personally), that allows the unlimited application of fire vulnerability against any target that can be sneak attacked with no save, which is obviously a massive damage increase. I also think (though havent checked), that it would be break bonus damage from double cross blooded sorcerer dips for example. Lets say you make a Hellfire Ray Ember with a cross blooded dip. With fire gear, and the application of treacherous flame (she doesnt need to be the one who does this), it would be: 45d6 = 157.5 on average with bane of spirit vs (45d6+90(crossblooded)+3d6+15(ring of pyromania))x1.5(treacherous flame)+6d6(milander's insult) = 430.5 without bane of spirit, using the fire specific gear. That is a pretty massive difference, and definitely justifies the investment into ascendent element, independent of quality of life issues.
Bane of spirit does NOT break crossblooded sorc bonus damage nor in breaks other "+x per die" bonuses from robe and armor you find in Wintersun, so it is useful on casters that focus on element with no bonuses from gear (ice, lightning, acid, negative energy etc.).
Please keep updating,dont know about steam but on my PS5 i just got sarkoris and the rest of season 2 dlc still has to drop. Been playing 2 weeks and still overwhelmed. 200 plus feats 100+ character paths. No normal magic.(Skyrim style) pfft.
I was thinking of getting the ring and not care about ascendant element... But that would be so bad, I'd hate to cast it every turn 10x. Only swarms are worth that much trouble.
Thank you for this great video. Question: Weapons like Quarterstaff of the War Mage you only need to have them equipped for the effect? But Rods you need to cast spells through them? If I am correct, how can you to do this? I mean cast spell through Rod?
For weapons that have passives, indeed you only have to equip them as your current weapon. For Metamagic Rods, add them to one of your quickslot items, then turn them on on the Ability Tab above the quickbar. When turned on, they'll be outlined in white. You can also turn them on/off at will as to only use them with spells you want.
Thanks for the video cRPG, I would like your opinion. I want to have a summoner MC but can't decide between a LE Monster Tactician Aeon, or NG Druid (Or maybe Nature Oracle) Azata. Which would you recommend? Love all the videos, but there isn't really a guide or comparison between the different summoner setups for those of us who like Pet/Summon playstyles. Thanks bunches!
I'm still working on a Summoner Guide 😀 I think overall out of these picks, Druid Angel would be stronger, because Angel merge + Angel Spells can really enhance summons (and your party). Army of Heaven & Fortress of the Faithful for example should work on summons too! Besides that, be sure to get Clemency of Shadows rings for Spider summons whenever you summons die. Also 100% go with a Skald since Skald boosts ALSO work on summons! Same for Cleric Domains that are AoE.

But I want to go Feyspeaker Azata mainly for bond of friendship to see creeping doom, purple worm, and elemental swarm with teamwork feats, as well as Cave Fangs + Zippy magic for the optional side bosses. (I know one version of cave fangs was nerfed but one version of it still works last I tried). I am open to having a skald, but not sure which party member to make into one. (My first guess would be Seelah) And yes, I'll be dragging Sosiel about to be my Domain guy. Really appreciate the reply! I love summon/pet builds in games and one reason why I like WotR so much is because there are so many to choose from. But I didn't want to just look at the summons side by side, but the whole class package. Really looking forward to your summon guide! Ps - Here's a tip from me! - apparently they "removed" the +2 mithral shield in act 1 marketplace, well just last night you can still tab and loot the crusader bodies and get it. What I did was release the vrock, put it to sleep with ember, then loot with another party member, then coup de grace the vrock. I am unsure if it's just me but the crusaders are unlootable otherwise, but you can still tab + highlight them when in combat.

for the Bane of Spirit ring you said that in TBM (Turn-Base mode) you said you have to spam the ring power. What do you mean? Does TBM take off the effect?
Bane of Spirit is activated as a Free Action, and the ring can be used on ANY party member, it's just that whoever it is equipped on is the character that will pay for the HP cost. Free Actions are instantly activated, but in real time everything is happening at the same time. You can then press the "V" key to quickly pause + unpause the game when using the ring as to buff your whole party with it in mere secs. In Turn Based mode, everything is frozen while you take your action. So you can just spam the ring effect on everyone at will, no need to time the uses with the "V" key (which is very easy to do anyways).

@@cRPGBro That's crazy. I might have had that item in my inventory but sold it because I thought Unholy damage wouldn't work against evil creatures. Obviously there are rule differences between the table-top game and the video game but I'm positive Unholy damage only works against good creatures in the table-top. I just double-checked and weapons with the Unholy property in the video game specifically say "deals an extra 2d6 points of damage against all creatures of good alignment". Devouring Lust does not have a description for what Unholy damage does.
The difference there is the problem with two different mechanics having th same or similar names.... The Unholy WEAPON PROPERTY is not the same as Unholy DAMAGE. Unholy damage is a Damage type that is very rare, like only a few spells deal it (I can really think of hellfire ray, and only half of its damage is Unholy, which is actually the part of that spell that bypasses demon's fire resistance) but the Unholy WEAPON PROPERTY is what does the extra 2d6 vs good creatures. Not all sources of Unholy DAMAGE do this, just weapons with the UNHOLY WEAPON PROPERTY. I think i explained that correctly.
Why is my Grave singer less damage? Mine is 3-14 with 3x crit but the Lethal Squall is 4-20 + 1d6 sonic, also 3x crit. Can you upgrade it? Or did I pick the wrong enhancement or something?
Gravesinger with the best property by default is 18-20/3x Crits. You can then improve the crit range further with Improved Critical for 15-20, or higher with Trickster Feats. There are also buffs to add more damage to it, such as Crusader's Edge for Evil Outsider Bane & Holy from other sources.

I genuenly can't believe how this game get all the praise when the crusade mode exist. It's the most annoying, half baked and unbalanced game system I've ever seen in a crpg. And if you turn off the game mode you'll miss all of the items. Jesus christ what a mess

The spider infinite summon is interesting. One time my Regill has last stand trigger. 10 Spiders were then summoned next to him.

I was testing it, and I don't think that's how Allied Spellcaster works. It's +2 if you have a nearby ally and that's it, it's not +2 per ally.

You should get spawns of random demon armies after some time, as a way to keep one of that banners green.

You are correct, it can be very powerful for Fighter/Wizard Builds!
I make use of it in some of my builds indeed.
I find it funny that even when you follow builds in videos like this you are still always missing 20+ AC or attack bonuses

I would personally save it for the main character and have many recents builds that go for it.

Nope, Unholy also fully works against demons, which is why it's so good.

Hi there, for that simply cast the Greater Magic Weapon buff (level 3 spell for Arcane or 4 for Divine) which can enhance it up to +5.

For that, simply cast the Greater Magic Weapon spell, which can increase the enhancement of any weapon up to +5 and lasts very long, at 1 hour/CL.
