Absolutely. The Muslim philosophers are stuck on philosophical arguments not realising that they have advocated for the atheist logic. They have conceded to the atheist by reading their books while the atheist has never read the Qur'an or hadith at all or not entirely.

That is one of the hidden things of deception that a person need to be careful with. This happens when a person doesn't study the method of how the Messenger of Allah gave dawah in detail, or how the Companions invited people to Islam.

Mashallah, jazakallah khayran brothers. There are alot of muslims being misled by philosophy in the guise of so-called intellectualism. Like you said, rasool Allah saw explained things perfectly, in few words, with in-depth meaning, where all could understand. This is how those of true intelligence make their points known. Their ego leads them to believe that they are more intellectual to turn to Philosophy to explain Islam, when in reality they are only more ignorant. May Allah guide them and protect from this misguidance spreading.

Unfortunately, many young Muslims think that using philosophical arguments somehow makes you look smarter. We've the Quran that is divinely revealed by the creator of this universe. If we don't use the Quran as our criterion, then we're deluding ourselves. How can any sane person take or adopt manmade philosophical arguments to be superior than the Quran and Sunnah? If someone still persists on using Aristotelian logic, then that person has reached the pinnacle of stupidity and delusion.

The way of being grounded is the way of the believer...
Ka'b b. Malik reported on the authority of his father that the similitude of a believer is that of a standing crop. The wind sometimes shakes it and sometimes raises it up and then it comes to its destined end. And the similitude of a hypocrite is that of a cypress tree which is not affected by anything but is uprooted once for all.
      - Sahih Muslim 2810b
Not being grounded in Salafiya for bida/desires is the way of the fallen...
      Narrated Thawban:
The Prophet (ﷺ peace and blessings be upon him) said: The people will soon summon one another to attack you as people when eating invite others to share their dish. Someone asked: Will that be because of our small numbers at that time? He replied: No,... but you will be scum carried down by a torrent, and Allah will take fear of you from the breasts of your enemy and last enervation into your hearts. Someone asked: What is wahn (enervation). He replied: Love of the world and dislike of death.
      - Sunan Abi Dawud 4297 (Sahih Albani), Book Battles (Kitab Al-Malahim)
      In conclusion :
Thawban narrated that the Messenger of Allah(peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I only fear for my Ummah from the misguiding A'immah." He said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There will never cease to be a group from my Ummah manifest upon the truth, they will not be harmed by those who forsake them until Allah's Decree comes."

Rather, know the truth and you will know the men"! Islam is not so low and generic like all other religions and philosophies that we have to be like them and use their methods. Be proud that we go with the truth wherever it may be, whatever harm may befall us because of adhering to it, whatever loss may occur that is actually a profit! I don't see how their arguments for the finitude of the universe or the existence of a necessary being or the existence of a first mover led to or can lead to the negation or denial of Allaah's attributes - in fact they indicate or confirm basic attributes of the Creator, the Uniquely Divine Being.

If an atheist goes to University, studies philosophy then comes to conclusion based on philosophical ideas that Allah is real and Islam is correct, is he still an Atheist?

      A better question would be:
If a person believes that Allah is the only Creator, Provider, Controller of universe and all that is in it, does this belief enter him into Islam i.e. is he a Muslim?

As a laymen my understanding is that there needs to be a chain of transmission (allowing scrutiny) from where our Islamic knowledge has been acquired. Can you please provide a complete chain of transmission going back to the a) ‘madhab of the salaf’ b) ‘knowing the salaf’ and the ‘books of the salaf’ to support your claims. A direct question requires a direct response. Anything else is diversionary which in turn is deceit, and therefore the testimony of such a person can by default not be trusted. Duas

I don't understand this to be honest. In the end Allah SWT judges us on our intentions no? If his intention to make people believe in Allah and his messengers and uses their language to make it easy for them, why is this bad? Is he creating deception in Islam? Is he lying about anything? He's falsifying what? Please help me understand.

      Asalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullah,
In short, if you are aware of the Islamic history, there were groups, that came in the early history, who were affected by the Greek philosophy.
So these Muslims who were affected by the Greek philosophy tried to use this language to debate with the philosophers and atheists of that time.
But in doing so , they brought about unintended consequences which were then used to dismantle and weaken the foundations of Islam from within and these very same ppl ended up denying or misinterpreting fundamental beliefs and foundations to remain consistent with the proof they were using to debate with these philosophers.
In short, they opened gates of heresy and corruption from within by using a false method of Dawah , and ended up causing more corruption.
The methodology of Dawah is Tawqeefi meaning Allāh sent the Prophets with the revelation teaching them how to invite the people of all forms. The proofs of revelation are such that they appeal to everyone, whose fitrah and intellect has not been corrupted, plus it has no loopholes.
If there's a pot of honey mixed with a drop of poison would you take IT?
You'll appreciate it More if your foundations about eeman and its understanding are clear.

Yes Allah judges intentions, but Allah also judges actions may Allah bless you. As Ibn Masood may Allah be pleased with him said ‘how many people intended good and never reached it’. This was in response to people who were innovating in the religion and their response was ‘we only intended good’. May Allah bless you, what is key to understand is good intention alone isnt enough. Rather we have to follow the sunnah because in that is the best actions which Allah will reward. And the one who opposes that, Allah will punish

So in the estimation of the Salaf, the fundamentals of religious beliefs were only instinctive logical conclusions substantiated by authentic revealed texts: these constitute the foundation of what is positively orthodox Islam. On the other hand, the later generations who opposed this way split into two directions: one related to understanding and the other related to love and desire, as explained above in the statement of Ibn Taymiyyah. The first was the hyper-rational approach of the philosophers and speculative theologians, and the second was the approach of the gnostic mystics who sought enlightenment by employing rigorous self-discipline and deprivation.

The Imāms of the Salaf detested speculative theology mainly because it is trivial and does not motivate one to do righteous action - it does not inspire the action and activity of the heart nor the actions of the limbs - as opposed to simple logical beliefs rooted in revelation, which have an immediate connection to loving compliance, upright moral character, and righteous deeds. In contrast to this aforementioned trend of hyper-rationalism, the approach of the Ṣufīs was fundamentally emotive, mostly based on ecstatic passions and ‘gnostic’ intuition as its foundation; thus it disconnected the vital link between revealed beliefs and loving compliance in the reverse order of speculative theology.
