I made the transition to Big Dots on my privately owned carry firearms about 2 yrs ago & have been very satisfied with their use & durability. There was a little bit of a learning curve w/them when new, but if you looking for a fast first hit, they really are great.
Nice video as always guys! I had the glock 30 gen 4 once before and didn't even get to shoot the thing:/ due to buying it used to try out and it had a nasty gap between the slide and barrel.which wasn't noticeable till I got messing with it more. So ended up taking it back and getting lied too and cheated out of $200 bucks and I even took it back the very next day! Store owner said yes we'll take care of you and give you full $500 refund store credit or less in cash. So went to trade it in and got screwed again! So now going to my new shop and it's great! Amazing staff, owner, stock/inventory! Very helpful and if it's not on the floor it can be there and ordered in 3 days or a week if it's busy holidays
Love this gun! one of the best soft shooting gun's i have besides my Ruger P95.
Nice sight upgrade. I personally use the Ameriglo I-Dot night sights on my carry pistols. It's has the large Lime Green/Yellow front sight for quick target acquisition.
But thanks for your time guys and your vids, really helps us out when debating on ammo, guns, etc and nice having a second opinion

My G30 is my EDC also, I have the Tru-Glo's on mine though. Never a problem feeding or shooting.

I'm a fan of XS sights. I have big dots on my Shield and AR (offset), and the "standard dot" on my G19.
I have two 21 mags for my 30SF and they do make a couple nice grip extensions for the 21 mag to fit the 30SF perfectly. Very similar to the Pierce extension.
Just picked one up. Gonna put it through its paces and if all goes well it’ll be my off duty carry as well. Nice video as always
I have the XS Big Dot sights on my gen3 Glock 26 which is my EDC. I have had them on it for about a year or so now. I like them. I wear glasses and the large front sight is easy to pick up. I am going to get them installed on my Glock 19 and my 27.

Nice Shootin... i have a NIB 30FS in the safe, carried a few times. I am currently carrying a G38 45 GAP that i just installed Ameri-Glo CAP/Dave Spaulding Sights. Same premmis, just "Dot The i". I also carry a G39 with Fibre-Optic Sights and a Laser-Max guide rod. I really like the big bore Glocks and especially that 45GAP Round ';-) "Happy New Year" to you Beretta Sr. and Beretta Jr. as well!

I loved my Gen 3 G30sf but it had a couple of hangups just like your 30 had in the video. I ended up selling it when I sold down my collection earlier last year. After the Dallas shooting incident I decided that my carry would be 10mm and picked up a G29sf and a Kimber in 10 also. The 29 has been 100% so far and I like that flat trajectory.
I also had a G36 and it would hang up if a guy wasn't careful. (meaning, Pinkie don't talk to your buddy in the next lane while you're shooting or you'll limp wrist it.)
The Sig .380 V Crown ammo is excellent. When I had the P380 Kahr, which was ammo selective, it fired the Sig Ammo 100%. Great stuff. I'm picking up a P238 and those will be the first rounds through it.
I've had several guys recommend the Big Dots for my Glocks. So far I've only ran the Glock standard sights, its probably time to upgrade.

BERETTA9mmUSA I think you and Beretta Jr would like the Glock in 10mm, the larger Glock was my first choice but my hands are just a smidgeon too small. I also wanted a Dan Wesson in 10mm but Cali said no to that idea.

I tried those for a while but nothing catches my eye better than the Trijicon HD night sights in yellow, nice shooting as always.
GlockGuy87 I just switched to the Trijicon Night sights form the big dots on my G43. So far I like them a lot.
HD's are the best sight, only one other sight comes close and that's the x-ray sights on a sig legion and that I'm pretty sure was modeled after the HD's. I just wish the HD sights weren't so sharp. Wickedsensation, I think you'll love them.

Ravioli 23 I am still a big fan of the Glock 30 Gen 4. It’s Awesome. I changed over to a 1911 Dan Wesson Commander at the beginning of 2019 as my EDC Pistol and I use Leather Holsters now. I still own the Glock 30 and I think it is a Top Pick. 🥳😎👍👮🏻♂️🇺🇸. Merry Christmas!

I have a 21 that I got in 1991, a 27 that I got around 1997, and a Gen 3 30S I got about 3 years ago. I have never had a failure of any sort with any of them. My son recently got a Gen 4 19, it has not failed the relatively few times we have shot it. Have you had any more problems with that pistol?

Those sights present a problem.....thats easy to see.......Glock 30sf is also my main carry out of my entire collection of different calibers and brands my 30sf just can't be beat i live it so much tommarrow i pick up the 29.....the 30sf in my mind no matter all the critics of its weight and size it is the most preferred balanced and perfect sized handgun ever made in my opinion for what it is I never ever have a problem concealing it.

You are 100% correct on both...... I like the other sights we have reviewed recently much more. The ones that have been orange or yellow on the front sight seem to be more accurate and fast for me. That malfunction happened and I was already thinking about changing my EDC this Summer of 2017, see what happens LOL. Beretta Sr.

Nice sight Sr, I carry a glock 23 gen 4 when off duty with the same sights ,must be a law enforcement thing ,,I wish they let me put these sight on my carry gun
B9 Sr (and Jr), u guys have any experience with the G30S? Ive been trying to decide between IT and the xdm 3.8 compact 45 acp (which I have yet to try). To me the 30S seems like the premier carry 45 with all the magazine options and the track record but the xdm seems as if the grip is a bit more concealable. I've been wanting to acquire an exceptional "carryable" polymer 45 that with not too steep a learning curve for me to get good with. The 45 acp has eluded me all these years. I may just get a 1911 for range fun and scrap the carryable 45 idea completely.
I shot a police officer friend's 30S and it has a sharper felt recoil to it when compared to my 30 Gen 4. I just did not care for it because of that, it actually hurts your hand after 100 rounds of practice rounds. The owner even said my 30 was more comfortable to shoot. I have not fired the XDM in 45ACP, but I love my Sig 227 SAS in 45ACP..... more money, and a little bigger, but it has been a wonderful 45ACP pistol..... Not the fullsize 227 in 45ACP, but the 227 SAS..... give it a look, hard to find them for sale, but it is my favorite for about $895 last time I checked, and a dream to shoot.

+BERETTA9mmUSA ..thanks for the response B9 Sr! I actually think I will entirely do away with the idea of acquiring a 45 acp for conceal carry. I may just get a 1911 as a range toy. The sig 1911 compact nickel calls to me most. Do you still have it? CC pistols will likely always remain (for me) my 26,23, shield and LCP. I really want an old Smith 3913 as well. Something tells me that 45 acp isnt optimal for conceal carrying a sub4-inch barrel handgun either.

It was strange to have a malfunction with my Glock 30...... I think that is my first in about 3,000 rounds. That is why we acted surprised. I like CLP the best for handgun cleaning. Beretta Sr
They will all malfunction eventually if you shoot them enough. It's a fact of life with semi autos.
I would like it if they made those sights with a standard sight picture. Maybe they can’t do it without changing the ease with which you can pick up that front sight, but I wish they would because I really like them but don’t want that unique sight picture.

I shot both and the recoil of the 30S made it difficult for me for fast follow up shots. To me the 30S seemed to have 10 to 15% more felt recoil compared to my regular Glock 30 Gen 4, the 30S belonged to a police officer friend of mine and we shot them back to back. Beretta Sr.

Dan E Hi Sir. This Glock 30 was my EDC for about 3 years. I then went to my Dan Wesson Commander 45ACP for 6 month and now I have been using my Full Size Dan Wesson 1911 for 7 months.
