You have the SRT-Bridge set up incorrectly... The Green Loop must be threaded through the hip belt!
Thanks for taking the time to evaluate this equipment. Great video! I was patiently waiting for your stuntman in the background.
Awesome video. Keep them coming
I've been waiting for this review since i had seen it on you
Love the videos man. Great review.
Once again a real informative video.
Thank you for taking the time.
You’re most welcome
Keep it up brother. You’re doing great. I was surprised you only had 10k followers. I just know you’ll get plenty more in the years coming.
Real informative video. Great review. Thanks
I've been waiting for this. Great content especially on the shoulder strap. I wish you had compered the harness to the other brands side by side so we could see the difference between them. BTW The belt should go through the loop on the srt strap otherwise it is not PPE
Great review love mine too from a tree motion
How about chatting re: chippers, like the Bandit in the background. Perhaps VS Vermeer? Thanks for the saddle review
Nice chipper!
Tree motion evo is where it's at for me 👌
It’s nice once it’s all dialed in for sure.
Can you incluse the captain hook in one of your review?
I put a petzl open ring on a lower ds to make it easy to clip my lanyard and avoid fighting my bridge
Both sides or just the side for the fixed end of the lanyard? Is it too jangly? Lol
@Strider Tree Great review. Again. High quality video, to the point and I can clearly see that you are a pro (Even by the chipper Y'all use. I remember when I first used one in the 1990's. It was a 9" ) Thank you :-).......I still think your Gen of climbers are spoiled, with all the new gear.....My problem not yours. :-) :D Lol
No doubt! We are spoiled ! But I’m sure glad about it :)
@@Stridertrees Sounds about right. Lol And why not? Happy climbers are safe climbers :-)
Strider, are you still climbing on this guy two years later? I've climbed on two different saddles including the EVO, and I've heard this is a level up on adjustability and comfort- is that accurate?
Did you manage to get a transporter on?
Do you still like your TreeRex? If you were to buy a new saddle today, would buy another TreeRex or something else? Thank you.
Thanks for the review. Think there is any way to hook up one of the monkeybeaver suspenders to it?
Where there’s a will there’s a way, I will probably do that
@@Stridertrees Very cool, I'd like to see what you come up with!
There is a new version of this saddle coming have you seeing it
I have not! But I hope you’re right !
Have seen several guys order one and there buckles were broke and they couldn't get them to send new one ..how does it hold up saws and does it pinch . Jewels...
Guys break the Buckles when they don’t understand how the “triple-lock” mechanism works, and they just jerk on the straps trying to pull it apart. I’ve had a couple now and it’s my full time harness and haven’t ever broken a buckle. One of The reasons I prefer it to the treemotion is because of how much less it pinches the “jewels “. The rest of it has been plenty tough for me.
Thanks for the review. Can you use the suspenders with a chest ascender or are they just designed to take weight off the harness?
Also does it comes as standard with the integrated SRT bridge?
I wouldn’t use them with a chest ascender but they are designed with a bungee on the bottom to attach a knee ascender, and I’m not sure what you mean by integrated SRT bridge, but it does come with two bridges one of them designed to be adjustable length.
@@Stridertrees at 8.41, is this the srt Bridge he's referring to?
@@yorkshiresnumero2gardener244 YES that is the integrated SRT bridge and it does come with the harness standard. I also SHOULD have had the waist belt through that loop to use it properly. That feature is sweet because when used with the Vector Chest X it creates a CE certified fall arrest system!
I didn't know it at the time, but they make a chest harness with an integrated chest ascender that connects to the SRT loop that can be used instead of the bungee chest harness I was wearing in this video.
@@Stridertrees I'm thinking of getting the harness and chest harness. I have found srt with my current set-up tricky. I feel like my upper half wanting to swing back away from the rope - basically because my pivot point is below my centre of gravity. Hopefully the chest ascender will make ascent a better experience...? How are you getting on with the harness? Thanks
it’s the most comfortable saddle out there (in my opinion), but the gear loops with the carabiner picture on them are waayyy too loose which makes it a completely worthless saddle for tree work. l want and need my equipment/gear tight to the saddle so l know right where to grab without looking. with these loops moving and shifting all the time, your hands have to fish around behind you to try and feel around for what you’re looking for, cause it’s not right there tight to the saddle where it needs to be if it wants to be a professional production saddle in this industry. as it stands (in my opinion) it’s a great recreational saddle for the weekend warrior, but definitely not a professional arborist saddle in any way shape or form.
The Petzl Seqoiua SRT is WAY better in every way.
