Sailor Jerry is a good friend to have around..
I'm a big fan of the Captain (silver). 👍🏼
More Bacon!!! great afterthought it was great to see you and Joe back together!
6th trip for us in Wabakimi this year. Was the most interesting trip thus far. Thanks for sharing. Lost all my video for this years trip. But have our past trips on my channel.Cheers Fred
Great trip.. thanks for taking us along!
Very interesting. Thanks Kyle. Great ideas
Kyle, I don't know if I or anyone else has already mentioned this, but, considering you suffered the loss of your fishing pole (or rod as we call it in the U.K.) this particular trip, I feel compelled to point out that they do make pole's with cork handles. My Dad always had one, which is what made me think of them. I looked it up on the internet and they do still make them.
Cork, as we all know ... floats.👍👍
Hope you're doing well Kyle! Just rewatched this trip! Good times!
Thank You for sharing and putting up with Joe . . . I know Joe's can be a PIA . . . ;>)
Check out bison designs belt. I have one I love for backpacking, just soft enough but doesn't come loose. Also has a bottle opener buckle
Awesome video!!
Thanks for the series. I always love it when you get up here. I am looking at a similar route next year so double thanks.
Watching some of your videos I haven't finished. This one was super informative, I like the adventure of both you and Joe.
Do you have any trips planned for this season?
Great video, Kyle, the real OG
The only thing you didn’t talk about is the watch you are wearing?
Good catch. Garmin Fenix 6X
Awesome that’s what I thought
I Love my Fenix 6x pro
Ya a Rod Buoy from Bass Pro would have saved your rod and reel.
Kyle! What size is your Ursack? or Joe's if you know? I just got back from a week trip in the BWCA and after struggling with some bear hangs, I'm ready to switch to something more convenient. I had my 20-liter food sack stuffed to the brim though with 7 Days of food...
Curious about the belt comment at the end. Do you think it was the belt buckle that was the problem or the strap? I ask because they offer a woven version on their website (I went there after seeing you talk about the belt originally in your video). Thanks for sharing your trip, has been awesome to watch!
It was the end of the buckle. Probably fine when wearing around town but when wearing sitting in the canoe all day twisting and moving as I paddled caused it to eventually wear a hole in me. Since this trip I have mainly been wearing a belt from the company Grip 6. I like it better. Lighter weight more low profile.
What happened to joes final episode of this trip? Tried messaging him with no response.
I'm scared of them crocks shoes. In wet grass, moss etc, those are deadly slippery.
About that belt. I've had the same bruising problem. Nowadays i use heavy duty suspenders. No problem with heavy wet pants and much more comfortable with no pressure on the waist area because of a tight belt.
Right? I use a pair of five finger gym shoes, the Vibram sole is gripy AF and they dry quick.
