Good morning. I really like your videos, I learn a lot from them. I bought the Black Horse Viper 1.88m model, and I want to apply an automotive varnish to the fuselage to give it a glossy finish. The problem is that I'm afraid of applying the varnish and ruining the plastic that covered the fuselage. I ask you, what brand or type of varnish you applied to the plane. Do you know if, when preparing the viper body for varnishing, it was necessary to sand the body for the varnish to adhere? Thanks
Good morning Garfield Houston. I follow your videos, and I would like to know if the varnish you applied on the fuselage of the viper is loosening, or if it is still good? I'm asking because I have a viper and that I apply varnish to the body of the plane.
I fly with the Frsky radio system and they have an extremely robust offering as far as telemetry sensors go. The plane has a pitotube speed sensor GPS sensor two temperature sensors one for the ESC and the motor as well as multiple voltage sensors for all the batteries that are in the plane as well as an amp sensor for battery consumption and maximum amp draw. Is it overkill probably but I'd rather spend a couple bucks not to losing a plane that's worth a couple thousand.😉 Regarding equipment I'm using wemotec 100 mm edf and Castle creation 160 ESC on 12s with 2 HRB 6000 mAH 50c packs. The hrbs are definitely not the best packs to use in this plane.
Well done! What equipment and fan/motor did you end up using…. And weight ready to fly? Gyro? Just started building mine… long wait to get one in the UK!
I'll be doing a wrap up video on the build with all the stuff that I found as well as any suggestions that I have and all the information that you're requesting will be in it. Fan was wemotech 100 mm however I'm not sure that I would recommend going with that just yet need more flights on it to make that determination. Cheers
