      thanks! I actually got the same one in the video, white with beige leather interior. I love how the sun shines through the sunroof into the car and the beige seats really show alot more detail and just makes the car look brighter inside. just a great car over all and a fun ride. Also, dont remember if you showed it in your review, but apple car play is pretty cool! I also watched your recent mazda 6 and 2017 honda civic hatchback videos and was very impressed by those review! all those cars were all around my price ranged (full packaged), so I really appreciated the videos! keep it up! even though I got my new car, I'm still subcribed! cant wait to see what new cars you review. thanks again!

    Just bought a 2017 Tuscon Limited with the Ultimate package for my wife in Sahara Sand & it is a fantastic ride!!!
    Great car with the best warrantee.
    Love the perforated heated real leather seats (F&R), The panorama moonroof is to die for, 8" navigation is great & the premium sound system sounds wonderful.
    Only feature we will really miss is the memory driver seat & mirrors.
    I would rate the Tuscon Limited with the Ultimate package for around $30K 9.5 stars!

    @kdlorenz11 Před 8 lety +1

    Well done. You are easy to listen to and very informative. I currently have a 2011 Tuscon which I love. My neighbor is a mechanic for Honda, so I want to test drive a CRV as well, but of course the 2017 is not out yet and neither is the 2017 RAV4, the other small SUVs that I would like to consider. Under ideal conditions I would like to test drive all 3, but since the 2017 Tucson is out now I will have to go there for a test drive. This video pointed out all/some of the changes that have been made (for the better) from my 2011 model and I am impressed. So far the only hesitation I have is the increased cost of the Tucson vs the others and the much lower trade-in value for the Tucson from the others.

    • @GrapponeAutomotiveGroup
      @GrapponeAutomotiveGroup  Před 8 lety

      Kenneth, thank you for watching the video and your kind words. I have been able to drive all three models you mentioned and can say that the RAV4 is the least sporting in character. The CR-V steps it up with a great ride and nice handling, the Tucson comes in with the tightest handling of them. I highly recommend driving all three to determine which best fits your style. By chance are you close by? Feel free to stop into Grappone Auto. We have all three SUVs at all times and will gladly let you drive them without sales pressure. Either way you can subscribe to our channel for more great content like this! Soon enough the RAV4 & CR-V reviews will be out.

    Love the car but I wish they'd carry the body color down and get rid of the black, hate the rims but I'm a chrome guy. I have a 2016 Rav4 Limited and after seeing this, Toyota is less than sporty. Can you get running or nerf boards for this? I trade every 2 years so this is definitely on my list. Great and informative review.

    • @GrapponeAutomotiveGroup
      @GrapponeAutomotiveGroup  Před 7 lety

      Keith, thanks for watching I'm glad this was informative and enjoyable to watch. As for the running/nerf boards, Hyundai does not offer any themselves. I find the climb in height to be low and easy enough that they are not necessary for me at 5'7". I'm sure there are aftermarket manufacturers that produce some if you decide to go with them. Let me know how you make out should you swap to the Tucson!

      +Diamond Fox, thanks for posing this question. Having driven both, I personally prefer the 1.6T. With 175hp 195lb-ft (compared to 164hp 151lb-ft) it has significantly more torque than the naturally aspirated 2.4L engine, which gives you that "in your seat" feel when you step on it. That being said, both engines are great and it really depends on your personal preference. Have you driven a Tucson with each engine to compare?

    • @XGeranamoX

    I was moments away from buying a 2017 Hyundai TUcson with DCT. The warning below from Rifleman542 that the dual-clutch-transmission (DCT) problem stopped the mistake I was about to make. Sounds like the DCT, without warning, can prevent the car from moving regardless of how hard you push on the gas pedal. That's sounds like a death trap. A little research shows that there is a class action lawsuit on Hyundai DCT.
    The DCT problem is a huge problem. How come it is not mentioned in this review? Were you paid by Hyundai or Hyundai affiliates?

    • @GrapponeAutomotiveGroup
      @GrapponeAutomotiveGroup  Před 7 lety +1

      I'm sorry to hear that Riffleman542 scared you out of a truly great vehicle. It is true that the 2016 Tucson experienced issues with the software controlling the DCT transmission, but after a recall of 41,000 vehicles along with software updates, that issue has been rectified. The 2017 has not experienced this issue, so there was no need to mention it in this video. Also of note is that the Tuscon with the normally aspirated 2.0L engine has a conventional 6 speed automatic transmission with no known complaints. Hopefully you found another vehicle you love are are happy with - thanks for checking out our channel!

      if by all means you have decided to get the Tucson only, then go for the 2.0L EcoBoost which has the traditional 6-speed automatic transmission, but you'll get lower torque and HP and won't be much fun or peppy to drive

      Hyundai did a recall to reprogram the transmission module.... if you bought your Tucson sometime after May or June of last year you should have gotten a notice in the mail.... or you can check in myhyundai.com (if you registered or your dealer helped you out)... log in and go down to the bottom of the page and look for a link labeled recalls. Enter your vin number in the box, do the robot security check and it will bring you to a page if you need to bring the vehicle in for service. The recall won't cost anything to you... but you will have to make an appointment though.

      @GrapponeAutomotiveGroup  Před 7 lety +3

      Edwin Garcia the Tucson does come available with Blind Sport Monitoring with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, it is standard on the Sport and Limited. The gas mileage is EPA estimated at 23/30/26 city/highway/combined on the SE, 26/32/28 on the Eco and 25/30/27 on the Sport & Limited with front wheel drive. They are 21/26/23, 25/30/27 and 24/28/25 with the available AWD.

      I did not have any issues while I was driving this. I know that Hyundai made some changes to their DCT for 2017 and I haven't heard of the issues with it since.

    I really wanted the Kia Sportage SX its perfect for me but I can't see myself dropping $35k on a Kia I can get a BMW for that. I was looking at this car I don't really like it but the 2017 looks better was it newly redesigned? Or does the 2016s come in this design? How much are these cars? Im not spending more than $25k for a glorified hatchback =/

    • @GrapponeAutomotiveGroup
      @GrapponeAutomotiveGroup  Před 7 lety +1

      Jaxxon the 2016 Tucson does look the same as this 2017. Shown here you are looking a roughly $35k, but this is the highest trim/options you can get. They start around $25k.

    • @jaxxon4972
      @jaxxon4972 Před 7 lety

      Thank you for the info. The Sportage sx top trim is the same price but I think this Hyundai is not worth $35k nope. That's BMW territory. This car has too many plastic pleather inside it's over priced in my opinion.

    Is the GPS already updated or will we be screwed by letting dealers to rip us off for $365.00?
    Is transmission filter replaceable or they saying never need to be replaced, then after 100K, "Ma'am your transmission is defective?

    • @GrapponeAutomotiveGroup
      @GrapponeAutomotiveGroup  Před 7 lety

      angelisone I'm not sure I entirely understand your question regarding the GPS system. As for the transmission filter it is not replaceable. However Hyundai does recommend changing out the transmission fluid at the 75,000 mile service to keep everything in proper order.

    does the tucson use a CVT?

    • @GrapponeAutomotiveGroup
      @GrapponeAutomotiveGroup  Před 7 lety +1

      It does not use a CVT. There is a 6 speed automatic paired with the 2.0L engine, and a 7 speed dual-clutch automatic paired with the 1.6T.

    • @gailenrique2804
      @gailenrique2804 Před 7 lety +1

      Only the base SE has the 2.0L with the 6 speed auto transmission. The Eco, Sport & limited are outfitted with the 1.6T engine with the 7 speed dual clutch transmission. :)

      Rex, it's fair to say we have very different body types. This is a spacious little SUV though, I would go get in one and see what you think! Especially with the glass roof like this tester had, it feels much larger than it is. I think you'll be surprised!

    • @GrapponeAutomotiveGroup
      @GrapponeAutomotiveGroup  Před 7 lety +1

      The Tucson has two engine choices available, the 2.0 non-turbo and the 1.6T. The 1.6T (what I had in this video) is great on power with 201hp, it outshines the RAV4's 176hp no problem.

  • @Coupydog

    I see NO changes between 2016 & 2017 Limited, as shown here. No improvement in HP or fuel economy gains. No add'l bright work trim in the interior. In beige, it doesn't show as much, but look around the black interior & it appears stark black & low-rent. It's exactly the same as the '16. Disappointed here.

    • @GrapponeAutomotiveGroup
      @GrapponeAutomotiveGroup  Před 8 lety

      +Coupydog, I can see why in a video it would be difficult to tell the differences between a 2016 & 2017 as they are slight. The Limited offers Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™. In the Sport the door panels now use soft touch materials on the upper and middle sections now whereas they were hard plastic previously. The premium Infinity® audio includes Cari-Fi™ Music restoration Technology. The rear seat air vents are now included on the Eco and Sport trims instead of exclusively in the Limited. Lastly the YES Essentials® stain resistant fabric is standard on all cloth interior colors. Keep in mind too that this Tucson was an entirely brand new vehicle for the 2016 model year so making improvements just one year in is actually quite significant. Hopefully that helps you out! If you get a chance to get into both a '16 & '17 to check out the differences, I recommend it. Thank you for watching our video!
