Hi. I did buddybox with my qx7(ETX)-Trainer mode and fsi6(stock firmware)-Student mode. Just took ppm out from i6 and gave as input to qx7 then I configured qx7 to act as master trainer. It works perfectly. Hope i will buy i6x and boot otx for a cheap and best buddybox setup.

I'm planning on buying a flysky i6x myself too Btw, what is the major features that we couldn't get on the opentx version in the fsi6x? or perhaps hardware limitations that just couldn't allow them? And will buying a turnigy 9x give more features on using an opentx for it? or will it just give the same amount of features as in the fsi6x? yet more expensive Thanks!
Thanks for watching 👍 firstly don't even consider the th9x anymore. I had bought the th9x a few months ago when open tx for FSi6X was just introduced. Today the FSi6X has outperformed the th9x..as you can use elrs with higher baud rates introduced in elrs version 2.0 the th9x simply cannot support due to hardware limitations. And the open tx version on FSi6X is latest than on th9x.
Hello, first of all, thank you very much for the great informative videos. As you described I wanted to flash the FS-I6X to OpenTX to use a gimbal from Motionsic with the cobra SD for headtracking. Unfortunately, flashing is no longer possible with the new generation because a different chip is installed, NOT the STM32! Some people now have the same problem. What a pity! Can you please recommend me or us an alternative remote control for such a OpenTX modification? Does the new Flysky FS-ST8 work on OpenTX - that would be absolutely great. Thanks for your effort

Thanks. Is there another way to use a head tracker with independent receiver? Also interested to know if there a reliable HT to use with relative expensive model (airplane). Please link the head tracker and the camera mount you use to buy, and hopefully it is compatible with dji goggles. Thanks
