World of Warships - Quick Cut: Tier VIII Premium Japanese Cruiser Atago (Ranked Gameplay)

- Sometimes you have to put your entire ranked team on your back and do some serious heavy lifting. So it is in this game aboard Tier VIII Premium Japanese cruiser Atago on Neighbors. I end up in a late 3v1 and have to scramble to try and pull out a victory. Am I successful? You'll have to stay to the end to find out.

Few ships have endured the time and the whims of WG like Atago. She remains my favorite ship after 8 years of boats. And in the hands of a great player she shows her toughness and flexibility. Well played!

Your Hipper did a good job also. Prinz Eugene’s heal as a big advantage.
Hipper played well, just needed our BBs to stay in the game longer than they did.
That's a great play , i have an atago but I find that I die very quickly with the short firing range ,can you help with a guide how to play atago
I'm about to release one on Mogami, so it might be a good opportunity to release one on Atago. I don't really have plans to do them for premium ships, but I think I might make an exception here.

The sub was #2 on their team, which signifies to me a fairly competent player. They tend to be near the top or at the bottom. Outplaying him, even with a cruiser as capable as Atago, was no mean accomplishment.
Subs get like double BXP. You can't infer anything from his place in the team.
I hate this about sub players.. they never play for objective. I find so common that they will just sail through the cap to Hunt the CV and eventually die doing so..
Some of them do. I think sub play and DD play are closely adjacent, so I think that folks with a lot of DD experience ought to make decent sub players.
@@SeaRaptor yes but thanks to WG, the subs were accessible to everyone in early access events so now we have players with 500 game experience in T10 sub like Gato or Balao.
In a nutshell either you have total potato or a super unicum player and in both cases it's dangerous for you depending on which one you got in your team.
I can't really argue the point, but I will add that you find this with all classes in modern WoWS; it isn't unique to submarines. Opportunities to skip tiers and buy past things are so prevalent in the game today that it's very common to find players in high tiers who lack understanding of basic game mechanics.
Slightly o/t - So yesterday I hopped into a game and who do I see? Mr.Sea Raptor . I was the horrible Bayard player. :)
