I like Bridgestone, I like these tires. But I don't get the point of softball interviews like this: the viewers don't learn anything, Bridgestone doesn't get the chance to shine, and Bike Social looks like a patsy.
You are right, the choice is not very clear because thé versys 1000 is not really a maxi trail. Both tire are 90/10. A41 is for maxi trail, A31 for sport touring bike. According to the expert, the A31 is ok for maxi trail but due to weight issue he would recommend the A41. Fully loaded, the versys 1000 would probably be close to 300 kg, so I would choose the A41.
