@@halidex the thing is, He's been using elektron gear for years and years and he works with elektron on developing new products... so even his first time touching the digitakt or any other elektron device he's gonna have yeras of a headstart over anyone else....
Since I got my digitakt, I at least have some grasp on what he's doing here.... but theres still that 5% wizardry, where suddenly I have no fucking idea whats going on and it sounds amazing lol
hahahah nice one... makes me want to start hunting... and get a bunch of video game samples...got 2 8-bit synths to sample into this bad boy when it finally shows up
Got mine on Saturday. Made a bunch of tracks and loops so far. Damn thing is a box of delights. Cenk, the last line of the Digitakt manual should read "Now go watch a Dataline vid to see what all this stuff actually means". I've learnt about 19 different cool things to do! Thanks so much for the vid!!!
i'm convinced too now! dataline, could you pls make a vid about to use it like a synth with sampling waveforms, you showed that first to Nick at NAMM or so.. it really sounds more than a synthesizer than a sampler, congratz elektron, you nailed it!
Well, the Digitakt is pretty cool. This price for an Elektron piece is too much to resist. But we all know it's Mr. Dataline who can get these amazing sounds out of the Elektron boxes.
surprisingly, the sound/loops sound more bigbeat than the drum samples (esp the kicks sound weak) // fantastic performance btw, looks like your hands move faster than time itself
I juste come back from my music store with my own After having watched every video on this baby I fall into this and I just want to cry! 😂 Thx for your awesome talent!! It looks so easy with you!
This video has done for the Digitakt what the Mylar Melodies 0-Coast video did - it makes me want to own one of these bad boys right now. I can imagine it playing very nicely with my 0+Coast.
Oh boy...some next level stuff right here. Would you be able to demonstrate how this machine can sequence external midi gear? Thank you for all your videos!
The way you connect with these Elektron machines is downright scary at times. (Even the ones with displays that are too small to read) Can you prove you are not an Elektron android AI side project they are working on covertly? Awesome work as usual.
Nacht Schreck Great post! There was clearly too much positivity and support of fellow musicians happening here. Glad you could step in with some much needed negativity to bring the mood down.
Hey! I'm thinking about buying some kind of sequencer/sampler/drum machine... I have two hardware synths and I would like to jam more in my bedroom. Right now I send all the MIDI from my computer to my synths and I find it pretty uninspirational. What do you like about your digitakt? What do you think the limiations are?
@@twoHRdrive I got the Digitakt 4 days ago...it's not nearly as ominous as I thought it would be. Best purchase I've made in a long time and I've Barely scratched the surface.
Aight, I'm just fucking getting one - deliberations are over. If I can make shit like this on a Digitakt then I need it immediately. I love my Model:Samples, but tried getting into electric guitar - bought tons of new stuff, and don't enjoy it, so it's all getting sold and I'm getting a nice upgrade to the limited Samples groovebox. I already have all the good samples to stick into it, so I'm sold.
After reading your comment I’m curious. Did you do it and was it worth it? I ask cause I’m in a similar situation, getting rid of all my gear for a Digitakt. Thanks
I sold my Analog Rytm to afford this. While I do like the analog sound, the workflow on the Digitakt is what I really love. I hope Elektron keeps releasing boxes this cool. Not having midi output on the Rytm was a huge mistake, Imo.
2:40 hold up you can parameter lock more that one trigger at the same time??!! I need more fingers...maybe a ruler with a little handle on it...maybe I just lay my left forearm across it...
What you have to take into consideration is could you make it sound like this? I mean I could watch Hendrix ‘demo’ his Strat but if I bought one I might decide it didn’t work properly 😂
Fantastic! Is the bass really that deep on this machine? I once owned a machinedrum which imo, sounded thin but that's probably my lack of programming/tweaking skills. This thing sounds beastly! I see the Analog Heat off to the right and I thought maybe it's adding beef to the sound but it looks like it isn't even turned on. Or maybe it's the quality of the samples?
Nice.. Would love a workflow video from you on how you setup transitions from one pattern to another.. Looks like you stop the pattern but leave long sample play while setting up the next pattern??
Time keeps passing by and this Digitakt Demo is still the BEST on the internet, period.
100%
Best Digitakt music video so far
No the Yan Cook one is the best
no kid, if you buy this chances are you won't sound like dataline. this dudes a monster.
i needed you to say this
Lol
just knowing it has the potential to sound like this is enough
Amen! I'd like to see a real time video of him practicing with the Digitakt and all the set up that went into this set. How many hours would it be?
@@halidex the thing is, He's been using elektron gear for years and years and he works with elektron on developing new products... so even his first time touching the digitakt or any other elektron device he's gonna have yeras of a headstart over anyone else....
Most excellent Digitakt jam.
Dude I’ve heard this so many times and all I was thinking about was the machine but in reality you are an amazing artist!
Have taken a break from watching Twin Peaks reaction and commentary videos to watch this - smart move!
Let's sample Badalamenti!
I love to came back here from time to time to get new motivation to dig into my DT!
Right? It’s like learning a new lick on the guitar, I’ll spot a move and try to bring it into my own beats, so good.
We need more videos of this machine. I'm sure they are coming, but you put this thing through its paces already. Very nice.
the time signatures were super tightly knit with what sounded like triplets and 4/4 stacked beautifully
Cenk man, I really think you should consider opening a music live performance school! You are already there man.
Mikhail Vasilevsky relax dude
bought me a digitakt 3 months ago and wished that I would have such skils you have. your music is exeletn
Nice! First video I've seen of someone putting an actual set together and playing it live. Also some banging tunes in there
Not continuous though , reset time in edits.
Nearly made me cry man very beautiful I want 1% of this power
Why do i do this to myself? Watching these vids and GASing hard!
Because watching gear being in action can be exciting and you want to be excited ;3
gIMEEEEEE bREAK...LOL
:D
TUMS
The definition of "awesome". Incredible machine, pure talent and skills, genuine musician !
Digitakt is a pretty awesome box and what Cenk can do with it is mind blowing !
Amazing work! Such beautiful atmospheres, reminding me of classic jungle tunes. If your live shows are anything like this these days, count me in!
The MrDataline experience has been fantastic! Keep em comin!
the transition around 7:05 is so good
Garvin Kelly Gay Me
That's the most inspriring video I've seen so far. Thank you for this.
So good to see this - Watching Mr Dataline working at full speed is amazing.
Sweet ! I love the pad begnning at 10:30 :-) And some vocal samples mangling, too. Good job !
What a fluid machine. Fantastic job.
This is up there with the best. Excellent work my man.

This just sold me and the only vid I watched on Digitakt. Can't wait to get my hands on this.

This sounds so much like some of the ambient house I was listening to back in the early 90s. Gorgeous.
thats some dope shit ma dude much love y'all
kind of shocked how awesome this is.. can't wait for my preorder to arrive :D
I'm listening to your stuff in my car. Loud. Right now.
Great job! Love this video! Very inspirational and informative. Love these beats as well. Had a great time listening to this baked.
Sold! Great video Cenk!
This still holds up
This is amazing. Please make a video of you creating the patterns themselves! I would love to see the workflow process
Mine came today, already like it WAY more than the octatrak
Would you use it live vs using the octatrack live?
That 2nd track made me respect you
Unbelievable how skilled Cenk is at manipulating his gear. Incredible transitions, inspiring stuff!
Day one and you dropped a full set. Ripping!
Mate this is bloody unreal.
The speed of that finger operation. That’s takes getting use to. I thought the video was speeded up at first until I saw the step sequencer. Lol.
Great demo of it's capabilities.
You've got the best job in the world ;)

Just wow! Amazingly creative, and you certainly know your way around the Digitakt! Got any tutorial videos?
Welcome to your doom! hahah! Nice altered beast tribute :)
Scandalously fantastic...
This is absolutely fucking outstanding!!! ( all of it and especially 07:40) great GREAT jam.
dataline thanks for always being a baller dude!
surprisingly, the sound/loops sound more bigbeat than the drum samples (esp the kicks sound weak) // fantastic performance btw, looks like your hands move faster than time itself
Cenk´s skills are completely out of this world!
If any could figure out how to fly an alien ship, it would be Cenk.
7'20...absolutly amazing !
seriously looking at the Digitakt right now, great set
Nice demo, really like the possibilities with this box.
I have a digitakt and have no idea what he is doing.. he is crazy good at this. Legend

So good!. And he does most of this using 1 bar. 16 steps!
Geez this is good ... I am in awe
dataline is on fire once more!
great video!
Great video, can't wait for mine hope you do a lot more videos like this.
omg that tune @ 11:00 ...... dude thats just amazing. thumbs up!

Go on, do it then.

How many Digtakt either side of a scratch mixer are we going to see, a lot I think!
so far... not many
Super!
the master in action 😁
Mr. Dataline IS IN THE MIX!!!
Fuckin' lord of the elektrons.... 🙌🏽
I didn't want a digitakt until just now.
how awesome is that shit
curious if what was done here is equally possible on rytm mkii..
Dang, this is hard! I think I'm getting one.
Cenk and max marco. Kings.
God damn this was nasty for real!!!
This made me finally buy a digitakt. Praise the lord i was not disappointed.
You truly are a special musician MrDataline.

Definitely getting one. Pretty Shure that doing a third of what it's going on here I'm still gonna sound fine.
2 min in sounds so sick lol crazy how something can go from nothing to something with a few tweaks.

cool what you did with these Swedish vocal samples :)

I mean I could watch Hendrix ‘demo’ his Strat but if I bought one I might decide it didn’t work properly 😂
I wish in the next upgrade they would allow the ability to change the midi tracks to more sample tracks. That would be F-N awesome.
Great work!
Nice.. a master at work.
You make everything seem so easy..!
Love to see the sequencer trigger via midi out board gear
Wow...that sound nice
You are great!!! Make me dancing in the chair) I buy this one, that is for sure...!!!
Awesome! Can you make a full set with this thing? Looks really awesome.
Thanks for uploading so many of these - any chance of a few in UltraHD?
