I really appreciate you making this video! When I started riding, I also had a bad habit of turning my thumbs to the side. I love your vids!❤

Hello thank you for this video during watching this I realized I am holding my reins too long so thank you for giving me this info also I have 2 question how do you not land on your front your saddle when your trotting? and last question how do you not fall forward onto the horse at the end of your trot?
I am a horse trainer/rider/teacher and the way I learned it was you have to use your legs for balance and use you stomach to stay up and sit in you seat deep. Hope that helps!
poa aswell ❤️

Hello!
Hi, Diana!
My horse is a Friesian cross.
can you please make a vidoe on how to quickly get on a inpatient horse? my horse named peanut never gives me enough time to even swing my leg over!!!
I know it’s been 9 months but I don’t think it’s a matter of getting on faster, rather more of taking the time to train Peanut to stay still at the mounting block and when mounting.:) hope it’s gotten better though!!
I am a quarter horse my mom has a gypsy and I also have another horse but we don’t know what he is and then we ha e a poney

The reason western riders hold the reins in one hand is because they use leverage bits which are designed to be held in one hand. Snaffle bits, most commonly used by "English" riders must be held in two hands to be properly used, and they should never pull two hands on a snaffle bit. You shouldn't be using your resins to stop your horse, they are a communication aid and not intended to be used for domination and control. Why on earth would you ever want to teach your horse to fold its nose around to your knee? You are disconnecting the reins from the horse's feet and creating a potentially dangerous situation.
