- I guess it's quitting time on the farm this week... and although I'm thankful for the break, I also wish we could keep lambing to get it done!
However, not just the mama's needed a break apparently. The boys needed removed out of the ewe's pens, my feed cart needed fixed and my little orphans are now strong enough that they no longer need me either.

Sandi, what makes you so special and loved as a sheep farmer, is your love and empathy for your sheep. Your gentle touch. The fact you have bottle babies and treat them like pets. There’s no haste in how you rear them. The love Sandi, is tangible.
We know where these sheep are going but you don’t make it obvious. They are living breathing beings and you treat them as such, with dignity and kindness. That’s the difference between you and other channels and I love you for that. 🙏🏻✨❤️
There's no reason that their time here on earth has to be awful.
Sandi makes even the babies who can't stay with their Mom's feel a part of a family and loved.
They're well taken care of in the lamb shed.
As short as their lives may be, it's not bad!

Our sermon today was about the same thing too. It reminded me of Sandi. Her sheep know her voice and they follow her. Just like we should follow God each day.

The 2 Tunist, & the white cutie U had to keep tubing? They will be your babies forever. There are always some tiny lambs, or the little blk & white lamb you tried your hardest to help walk. You got her the handicap walking assistant. Like you I just fall in love with her. She was the victim of Cashe Valley. If I could buy that little tiny Tunist with the brown/red circles around his eyes, I would. My sister says I was nuts to get a white kitten last spring. Wh look😅o has since gotten sable rings on her tail, ears have turned sable,now appearing on her body & she still has her baby blue eyes. Fiesty has the temperament of a rattle snake.
My sister would put me in a mental hospital if she came & saw a baby sheep.

Happy belated birthday, Sandi! 🎉🎂I loved the presents from Carissa since orchids and Cadbury chocolate are some of my favorites too. 😊 I have a decent orchid collection and I can keep them healthy and reblooming after figuring out their care needs when I first started getting them as presents, yay... 🌸 The drone shots really show the shoals of lambs so far - drifts of cuties piled up and then snuggled with mommas. ❤ It was great to get a field update from Mark and see the start of the groundwork for the new building. @@silveritea I attribute the reblooming I get to sheer luck! 😊 Orchids can be tricky so even keeping them alive for any length of time is a big win.
@@silveriteaTry moving them to a different spot. I moved them to another window, waited a while and 2 different ones bloomed. A little bloom-specific fertilizer never hurts. And patience. Lots and lots of patience.

Sandi. Just a little tip regarding that string you have to pull. Get a wooden broom handle about six inches long, drill a hole in the middle and tie the string thru the hole. That will save hand pain. LOL

Hi Sandi! I watch you from Iowa in the U.S. I'm a city girl but as a young child in the early 70's I spent time at the family farm where sheep were raised. I remember using a glass bottle with a nipple stretched over it to feed babies. Everytime I watch you the warmth of those childhood memories fills my heart. It is a cherished feeling as those family members are gone and the farm no longer in our family. Thank you for sharing your farm life and bonding with bottle babies with the world!❤

I love how the big lamb and the little peanut have become buddies and cuddle up to each other in their tiny pen. It seems like little peanut's eagerness in eating somehow transferred to the big lamb as well so now he also works up a big appettite, no tube no more!
