Charging the battery on a Ford Kuga

How to attach a charger / trickle charge a battery on a Ford Kuga.
Removing the battery is difficult because you would have to remove the bulk-head first.
Access to the negative terminal is also difficult to access.
However the negative terminal's earth lead is bolted to the vehicles chassis and is accessible.
