I love the differences between Hope World and Jack in the Box. J-Hope has evolved so much as an artist and people can't compete.
I felt he was alot more restricted to do what he wants in Hope World. Jack in the Box makes him feel so natural

@@AlbertKimMusic I disagree. He expressed what he wanted at the time. If anything he probably had more freedom with hope world. They were less famous and expectations weren’t as high as they are now. He did have access to more resources this time though since it’s an official release as opposed to his mixtape which he had to do in between schedules since they have to work on them on their own time
JHope did not come to play. I love that he’s exploring different sounds, flows, genres etc. I’m so damn proud of him.

Reminds me of the ahjumma lady who owned the restaurant above BTS' practice room. She said the boys would literally come for lunch/dinner dripping in sweat, they'll quickly eat and go back to the basement to practise. They've always been passionate and dedicated about their craft, they deserve all the accolades!
Lollapolooza really isn't ready for what they're about to see/hear when J-Hope performs. Army's know what's up obviously, but all the people who don't know BTS/J-Hope are going to be absolutely shook. I think J-Hope is gonna make a HUGE splash. Like you said, people are gonna be like "OH that's what BTS members can do? Oh wow!" Like. It's gonna be huge. I really hope some of the other big acts performing at Lolla stay around to see J-Hope perform. Even fellow industry artists who do at least know a little about BTS mainly only know them for Dynamite/Permission to Dance/Butter. So it would be cool if people like J. Cole, and some of the other big artists who will be at Lolla got to see J-Hope's "Jack in the Box" side.

I feel so spoiled by BTS their rappers make me expect others to be this good. And he’s an all around like you said he does it all top dancer, top stage presence, and he sings and writes songs like this. Lollapolza is going to be nuts I’ll be watching the stream.
Rap line what sold me BTS actually, i don't have deep knowledge of rap history, i am quiet amature in it, but i always had good ear for good rap and hip hop and love it. So i couldn't listen to kpop, cause the rap was laughable, it sounded like parody to me, so i dismissed bts as thinks ng they are same. But when destiny led me to Idol, i saw the naturality in their rap, and further into bts rabbit hole i saw that it is something they really love and enjoy and bot just mock

Well we found out where hip hop went to and his name is j hope, glade to see that someone still has love for the old school style of rap. Hope this album resuscitate it to the young folk and brings back a true art form.
The whole "Jack in the Box" album is
freaking masterpiece. When you read the lyrics of each track, it hits very differently. He's telling a dynamic story of his past, present, future. He's so incredibly talented, he's really showcasing his skills in a way he was never able to before with his cadence, his flow, his powerful lyrics, the amazing beats, the production! Do not play with this man and his art, he's serious about it, he has went above and beyond! Hoseok outdid himself again. "Hope World" & "Jack in the Box" are so vastly different but clearly from the same man on a journey of experience and self expression. This song gives me a little bit of Hangsang vibes, which is again from "Hope World" so it's also not too surprising to me to see Hobi expressing this side of himself. We all have multiple facets to our personality, and viewing him as only Sunshine is selling this complex man very, very short. I think the big difference in this album from "Hope World" is he is letting us in more, so we can see him unleashed with full creative license. He gave it such a classic, grimy, 90's hip hop vibe, but also incorporating other styles and genres that clearly inspire him, you can hear his influences but it's also so freshly Hoseok! Completely and unapologeticly him! I'm genuinely in love. Now, about Arson, the lyrics are thought provoking and paired with this imagery, Arson is next level stunning! Hobi is really bringing us out of "Hope World", further into the depths of his genius mind. I'm love with all the tracks, especially Equal Sign, Arson, Safety Zone, What If, Future…..well every Jack in the Box track is my favorite until I hear the next one I guess!

Definitely from that nineties hip hop era. When you listen to the album, one particular song ( What If) definitely has a Wu Tang vibe. If you close your eyes I promise you you'll think Ole Dirty Bastard is starting a verse.

With his new solo projects, I just KNOW I FINALLY found my bias in BTS. HOPE IS THE SHIT!!!! LOVE HIM! LOVE HIS TALENT! LOVE HIS FLOW!
He is such a talented and multifaceted artist. We have seen his happy smiling side but he is human and like all of us has many sides. He is being vulnerable and letting us "in" to see his inner dialogue. This is an amazing song and I hope he burns even brighter.
At first I wasn't feeling this new side of J Hope because I was so used to chicken noodle soup Hobi but as I listened to "More" more and "Arson" the more I embraced that there are different facets of people. It would be boring if people stayed in a box and didn't explore all sides of their personality. Also Hobi is a RAPPER...I've always loved his raps in BTS songs or when he did that iconic Daechitwa rap and this album showcases that to everyone! If this is a start of the solo albums from each members then the bar is set stupid high ❤️

That's a favorite now. Peep the slight sirenlike backtrack on many parts of this song? It gets louder and more intense in the pre hook like a firetruck is about to show up to distinguish the fire. But IT S DONE DONE DONE!

He also does the back ground grunts and noises that are so yummy but actually make the songs better. He is also an amazing actor in the BTS videos .

no you right Mr. march some people here in the USA do not want giving BTS their due credit for their artistry and music for the fact that is awesome ! they make the assumptions that they not good due to their race and culture because if it is not american made it can't be good music I like you have followed BTS over 5 years and their growth has been amazing they don't put out crap music those are facts and I can't wait to see what they have for us in the future if they decide to continue their journey here in the USA music industry which has shit-ed on them more than once I know nothing truly about rap my first introduction was the sugahill gang back in the 80 and I still have vinyl album to this date , this was so different from what we usual expect from j-hope but I enjoy this because it was not what I expected from him with his music. More just blew me away! the grittiness and darkness , I always suspected that each member has a side to them in music that they have not yet shown us yet and this is what makes each the induvial members projects so exciting can't wait to see what they give us !

There are excellent K-hip hop artists out there, beyond what so-called "idols" have to offer. Gwangil Jo is one of the best rappers I've ever heard (he is lightening-fast, which I love). Listen to his song "Korea". It will knock your socks off.
