i really REALLY didn’t enjoy the mortal instruments all that much, due to obvious reasons😳, but the infernal devices is literally like my favourite series of all time. so it’s kinda awkward when i say that because most people (not really readers) only know about the mortal instruments which as we know is insest so yeah idk but i just ignore the mortal instruments

It’s wild seeing people break down internet crap you lived through. I think about her being a plagiarist every time I see one of her books…which is often cause she’s prolific. 😏
The sheer DRAMA of The Draco Trilogy and her being banned off FF net. People were sending sneaky copies around and comparing them. 😅

I still don't understand how there's so many people calling Jace and Clary relationship goals. Like is 'almost incest' really a goal to them? And also, Clary's the most anoying character in book history anyways.

I think 'What's the tea' would be a nice series on your channel. Just an idea 🙂.

Didn't Cassandra Clare also wrote a tweet how she "doesn't understand why nobody is shipping Damon and Stephen in the Vampire Diaries love triangle"? Idk if it's actually real, but disgusting if it is.

I was obsessed with these books as a teen and re read them a few years later and realized the writing is extremely bad. I did love the tv show mainly because of how they actually included Isabelle as a main character

The readers didn't know till later books. Even when they might have been siblings there was the "safe option" of Simon in the love triangle.

Yeah, I’ve only read the first book and decided not to read the rest cause I hated Clary, but I’ve been spoiled that they’re not actually siblings…

i was pretty young and remember that I was COMPLETELY sure that they are not siblings bc you know.. that can't be. but I only realise after I turned back to books as an adult and saw it is so messed up. like even with Sebastian?? I know he was supposed to be this demonic villain but there was a real ship going on with clary and Sebastian in the fandom and it was all soooo messed up ughhh.
about the movie and series.. oh man could they mess up such a visual story with pretty much ok actors worse that this?? I saw they are planning to make a series for infernal devices and may god protect my will and jem. I am still devastated about how they basically wasted perfect actors for Alec and Simon IT WAS A WASTEE
also final completed trilogy tda has also so many problematic aspects for being a ya series but dont get me start with that..

No, because can we talk about racism ableism and homophobia at the least? Like she got away with it purely because of the time she set it in but these books are for children. If they were for adults the situation wouldn’t be so bad.

I really do like the books but, I don’t like the author……… is that still ok-?

  • @fernandawritesstories2701

I honestly don't know what to do about cassandra Clare's books. The first series I read was the infernal devices series about 10 years ago when I was in middle school which I reread recently about a year ago and they still hold up for me. I read the mortal instrument also around middle and high school and I remember also loving them, but I find it very hard to read through now. I have read her newer books besides that last two, but I plan to read them because it feels like such a different writing style then the mortal instruments bc the mortal instruments reads like fanfictions.

It really is a shame that The Mortal Instruments didn’t get a proper theatrical experience. If this story would have gotten the effort put into it that say The Hunger Games did, I really think it could have been huge. The later books get dark and the fighting is awesome
