  • In this video I will show how easy it is to replace the battery in a 2010 AUDI Q7.
    You will see what tools will be needed, and step by step walk you through the entire replacement process.
    I didn't speed up the video and minimally cut out unnecessary stuff to show the whole process in SpeedRun style. You can estimate the time it took me to do the replacement.
    its really easy to do it yourself!

    Meanwhile at 2:58 the +V cable is creeping towards the battery terminal…😂😂😂
    Great video anyway, thanks for posting

    Por aliexpress , lo adquiriste?, y el manejo del programa como lo haces, tienes algún tipo de manual, porque para mí es super complejo

      In the program, some of it is intuitive, some of it I searched the internet through forums, tried, and now I show in the video.

    Hi, great video, quick question, what happen if you do not register the battery with the car computer? will it work or not? where do you get the program for it?
    thank you in advance for any help.

      Hi. If it's fast, we tell the charge controller what current we want to charge the battery with. If the new battery is the same (in type and capacity), then nothing can be programmed and it will work. But the charging controller will change the charging current, thinking that the battery is old. This is not bad, but it is not optimal. If a wet battery has been replaced with an AGM battery, the charge controller will simply kill the battery with the wrong current. If the battery was AGM and changed to wet, the battery will be permanently undercharged. This is critical in cold weather. I got the program and the device on Ali.

      Hi, I don't understand how to use a lap top with what program? Where can I get the program? One other question, I don't need that machine to code it?
      Thanks

      I use the VCDS program. I received the program together with the diagnostic tool. All the coding is done in the control units of the car. The battery in this machine has no control units or charge controllers.

      @D-Stealth Me (62) and my daughter (35) are doing this work so I'm kind of confused, I understand all the tools, drill,....etc. and "how to" directions to removing/installing battery. You used your laptop, and the program, do I need to get my hands on that machine also? I was told that I would need a "diagnostic machine" also which is like 400 bucks. But I didn't see you use one. Please explain.

      @@lesliehoribe4086 Hi! It's really simple. If you install a battery with the same parameters as the old one, you can just change the battery and do not program anything. It won't be optimal, but it will be enough. The thing is that the charge controller will try to charge the battery as if it were old. But not all controllers do that, and I'm not sure what controller you have. This option is not suitable if you change the battery to a different type (WET AGM), or a different capacity.
      The second option. You can buy on Ali diagnostic device together with VCDS program. The cost on Ali will be about 50-100 EUR. This device will be enough for any action with the electronics of the car, which you can do yourself in the garage. I use this option. Of course, you can buy an original Ross-Tech device, but it costs 400 EUR. I understand you have two AUDI's, you and your daughter. it makes sense to buy a diagnostics so you don't get scared every time the "check engine" light comes on. I hope I have answered the questions, or are there more questions than there were? :) I'm ready to talk!

    hello, please your help. what if i dont have a battery OEM part number vendor and serial? Im replacing an old and wrong battery from my Q7, with a Lucas Blandford battery, code SMF 61038..... (LUCAS PREMIUM SMF 61038 110AH 930CCA)

    • @D-Stealth
      @D-Stealth  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Hi! LUCAS PREMIUM SMF is a WET battery. Do you not have a start/stop system? In case of a 110Ah WET battery, you can take part number 000915105DL. Then the resulting part number for the record would be 000915105DL VA0 2024020201 (11-character part number, 1-character space, 3-character vendor code, 1-character space, 10-character serial number).

    I am all for modern technology but you need a laptop to replace a battery? Sorry but making things to complex, its a battery and shouldn’t need a recode!

    • @D-Stealth
      @D-Stealth  Před 7 měsíci

      Hi! Yes, technology is advancing. In this case we are coding the battery charge controller, not the battery itself :) This will allow the battery to work a bit longer.
