I struggle so much with my own executive function skills that helping my child feels like the blind leading the blind.
That's definitely very common! We recommend trying some strategies for yourself as well!

So OT would be the one to work with the executive functioning?
Many OTs are trained in executive functioning strategies!
I like to explain Executive Function as POSITIVE skills which stands for: Planning, Organization, Self-awareness, Initiation, Time-management, Inhibition, Visualizing outcomes, and Evaluating priorities.
That's great, thanks!
My son got an after school detention for crushing smarties candy and acting like he was smoking weed. This was taught by his peers. The first time he pretended he got a warning. How can we curve that Talking to him doesn’t work. Can you explain it to me?
Ah, so sorry, we can't give specific advice on this topic!
Is the metronome meant to be played during an activity as background sound or is the child supposed to perform a task at the tempo of the metronome? Thanks!
Good question!
The activity is supposed to be done to the tempo of the metronome. For some children, this will be very difficult to start with and will need to be worked on over time.
If a child is having an easy time with the activity, you can increase the tempo of the metronome to increase the difficulty of the challenge!
Does it come in adult sizes?

Music is so distracting that I can’t concentrate on your words. I’m going to turn off the sound and turn on the closed captioning. (Auditory processing challenges here.)
Hi! Apologies for the distracting music! We have taken music out of our more recent videos!
@@HarklaFamily
Thanks. I’m sure I’m not the only one with auditory processing challenges. I am grateful that closed captioning is an option on most of CZcams videos.
