I like to explain EF skills using the acronym POSITIVE: Planning, Organization, Self-awareness, Inhibition, Time Management, Initiation, Visualizing outcomes, and Evaluating priorities.

Thanx for this! I've got kids in my classes with EFD. I now understand it better. What I need from you now is how to help these kids during the school.day. I see them for approximately 80 minutes 2-3 times weekly. Fix me!

Thank You! I have 2 more videos coming in this series. Hopefully they will be helpful! Structure, schedules, and scaffolding supports as they learn new skills are the big areas of support.

How to handle when kids make mistakes.

Great question. I try to always make sure kids know that making mistakes is part of life and learning. So we talk through why they made the mistake and how we can change things to improve the outcome next time.
