I know, it's so different to what we know and hear. I loved the fact that he was so open about it too.

Being a South African, this is very interesting because we have an unimaginable number of homeless people and it’s definitely not a choice for them. So the idea of being homeless by choice blows my mind! Interesting perspective

It blew my mind too, it was the last thing I expected and just to be clear, he is the only homeless person I've met so far with this perspective. It's very rare.

I can totally relate. I got into a place and it was so cut off and isolated...I fell into depression. It's a comfortable jail....being outside can be nice and exhausting

I'm tired of my emotions being tied to how much money I have, I want to sever that attachment to money and I'm willing to be homeless to do that.

I agree with no longer chasing anything and being content with that. But I do disagree with the ability for many to get a housed situation with equal contentment......if at all. But love your acceptance of what people call homelessness. I am as well. All good. Stay strong and positive. Peace

Some people with disabilities I can understand but i also see a lot of young men under 35 asking for free money and they can find a job, I bet all homeless you see on the streets have a legit social security number and even if they didn't they could still find a job, here in Albuquerque where I live they fuck everything up, places go out of business because they scare people away, all they do is litter and ask for free money, last time I had my trailer parked outside the jobsite and some bums ran off with hundreds of dollars worth of tools, fucken homeless people are annoying, it's a big problem here in Albuquerque and yes a lot of them are drunks and drugs addicts, if you're homeless in the U.S.A which is the most powerful country in the world than that's sad.

It’s a systemic issue, don’t blame the victims. Modern society has infinite issues that could easily be resolved for the benefit of all. They chose not to address the problems because they make money from the exploitation of millions.

He's actually right a lot of the interviews of homeless people you hear I don't want to follow rules in shelters or renting a place or they don't look at what they did wrong and they blame someone else like that interview of a girl here in LA who blamed the hair salon she was working at and the rich people for her choosing to live on the streets (she admitted she choose to follow her 40something year old or 50 something year old boyfriend onto the streets she's like 20 it's sad she couldn't see that it was the guy who brought her there not the job she had). But it's also true that if a emergency situation happens those who are homeless or have live through war/mega disaster will be able to survive (I live in LA if the San Andreas woke up soon nearly 80% of the people who survive the initial earthquake/buildings collapsing won't survive after it or will have to immigrate to another state and start all over again).

It is quite amazing how he emphasizes on the fact that so many people in the world will be dying to have what he has. It is an important lesson for many of us who lose themselves worrying about what they want to achieve, own and experience and aren't grateful for what they have. He is a free soul, such a rational and inspiring person. I loved his logic and his dream of a caravan in the middle of nowhere, cosmology, and telescope. It is beautiful. Great Video Lance.
About the second question, I am still asking myself that and I do not have a clear answer yet.

Personally I would never choose to be homeless but I also understand his point! Rather than living right at the bottom of the society at least he’s free. It’s also true that in London the boxes he’s talking about where to watch tv (rooms in shared house) cost from 700 pound up to 800/900 pound per month. And a basic salary is around 1200 pound per month. So I don’t really blame him under some aspects to be honest. He also sounds very sensitive regarding other problems we have in the world like people from Africa who die to escape from their countries. Very nice video Cuecard!
