I appreciate how cc shouts out arod in such a positive light. Most of the time he’s only mentioned on mlb network for his stats and not the type of player he was

Pedro is the only one being honest here. Jacob was hurt for a long time before they finally revealed this.

I'm a Rangers fan and while I followed deGrom closely when he was in NY, I saw him every 5th day here and he would often look at his arm and shake his head when he walked off the mound each inning. When he got hurt he knew what it was, you could tell by his body language. It sucks that it happened but not a surprise.

Man Pedro really looks tiny next to Sabathia. Nobody would say the feared pitcher he was during his prime.

It sucks Degrom is down but something was coming. For years now he's had multiple arm, shoulder, elbow injuries and finally it snapped.

Yep. He was over compensating for those injuries and the UCL finally snapped on him. It was bound to happen.

You just can't throw max effort every pitch like that and expect it to be fine. If you're a reliever it's one thing, low reps high intensity is fine. If you're a starter your body will not let you do high reps high intensity for that long. Guys want to get the fastest and most spin rate pitches they can, but it's just a matter of time before it gives out. Guys don't pitch anymore, most just throw.
