Shit I went to visit a friend and the hotel I checked into was having a law enforcement conference. I checked into the hotel a half mile down the street.

The fact that the jury bought Candy's story of "self-defense" is a huge miscarriage of justice.
Exactly 😭 Like we're supposed to believe that Betty asked about the affair then left Candy alone to return with an ax. And Candy didn't only not take the chance to leave, but took the ax from a woman intent on murdering her and then used it herself 😭😭

Watched the netflix documentary on the second dude, he supposedly had 8 cuts on one wrist and 4 on the other. They were so deep that he wouldn't have been able to hold anything making it impossible for him to cut both wrists.

For context just so folks know, that in the past locks in hotels before electronic locks were invented were relatively easy to get into because they were normal door knobs with two sets of keys master and guest. Because these pins and locks were cheap and cheaply made for the hotels to save money, they were extremely easy to pick. Locksmith here.

I'm from Richardson, Texas and was a teenager when Candy Montgomery was arrested for murder there. The Como Motel was down the street from me and I even snuck over there with my boyfriend once!

I'm most suprised how all this stuff can happen in a hotel without anyone else noticing i mean they are hardly private homes people come and go all the time so you would have thought that someone would have seen something

The worst hotel story I've heard was about this killer who murdered three or four women in motels/hotels. The crimes were horrific enough, but the worst detail was that, in one room where a victim was found, the bedsheets contained over forty...er..."stains" from dozens of different men, so he wasn't immediately caught (albeit some stains were his. During his first interrogation, he said that he often went into hotel rooms [I think he did maintenance] and fapped...).
The game was up for him when a microscopic stain was found on the victim's socks, something which wasn't immediately analysed. Fortunately they kept the victim's clothing.
All I could think was: "How often are the bloody sheets cleaned?!!"
Yeah think about who’s spooge you’re sleeping in next time you decide to book a cheap room online!

Trust me Top5"s i would never stay in any of them not even nice ones!! There was a CZcams channel that always took a black light and investigated all kind of hotels and motels around the world and it would literally make you sick!!

That suicide reminds me of Sonny Liston's mysterious death/murder/suicide. According to the police Sonny Liston(World champion heavyweight Boxer.) injected himself with heroin with a needle and overdosed. The suspicious part is that all of his life Sonny was absolutely terrified of needles. And his loved ones said he never used heroin. Hmmmmm. Strange things going on back in the 6o's and 70's.
I'm a former resident of Iowa (born in Des Moines, and lived most of my life there). I drove past Williamsburg many times whenever I'd go to Illinois, Iowa City, or, later in life, when I'd travel to Wisconsin to visit my then girlfriend and my daughter and son (I now live in Wisconsin with my family). I heard about this case a few years ago and never knew that I'd traveled past a rather infamous hotel virtually my whole life. You can see the defunct water park and hotel from Interstate 80 as you pass Williamsburg. It's crazy I never heard anything about it until way later in life. As a true crime nut, you'd think I'd know just about every horror story from my neck of the wood. I even thought I did! Oh, how little I knew.
Friend: "How was your weekend break at the hotel?"
Me: "Dead boring and life-less, there was a morticians conference on at the time."

amazes me how often there are multiple options for culprits, like in the first story she had a mad ex-boyfriend that butchered her dog, he was related to a serial killer! seems most in USA have links or live near numerous sickos who could be guilty of crimes!!!

Wow I have to say I've stayed in hotels that had a creepy feeling to them but never stopped to think what actually caused that feeling...
My late father definitely wasn't a punk, and he knew the name of the album, and thought it hilarious. My nephew is ten, and he knows it's name. It was infamous, and even had a high court case to determine if 'Bollocks' (the word) was obscene. It wasn't. It's a part of British history, as notorious as the Profumo Affair.
The Sex Pistols only made one 'proper' album - Never Mind The Bollocks - and one bootleg of early recordings 'Spunk', and the soundtrack to the movie 'The Great Rock And Roll Swindle' - demos, out-takes, and post John Lydon Sex Pistols material.
For such an influential group, they didn't release much.
