Cindy Alicia I think the majority of people have gotten used to no headphone jack. Youâre talking about 2016 when Apple got rid of it and 2017 or 2018 where android got rid of it. 2 years is quite a long time for the smartphone market.

Also I listen quite regularly to music while charging my phone so I guess I than have to look for a splitter that has usb c and a jack

@@SW-8228 bluetooth headphones have noticeable lags and we also have to connect them manually everytime switching from pc to phone and vice versa. they also have to be charged regularly. i think i have counted enough reasons to prefer wired earphones

I would be curious to see a direct comparison between the Nord & the last gen 7t. I am personally looking to upgrade from my old Pixel 2 XL & while I am waiting to see what Google does with the Pixel 5, I'm am strongly considering OnePlus (both the 7t & now Nord)
There'll be a day when we will be building our own custom smartphones just like pcs.

I got this phone this month and it has improved a lot. It has larger fingerprint scanner in the lock screen, and a lot higher specks like 12gb ram, 256gb storage and camera feels a bit better. And all in the same price

Thank you for talking about haptics!!!!!!! IMHO, this is one of the most overlooked 'little details' that add a lot to the experience. With all the problems that the Pixel line has, they have the best haptics I've ever used on an Android phone, and always make me feel like it's a premium device, even when it gets so much other stuff wrong.
Glad to hear that OnePlus is doing so much work to squeeze out the best performance from affordable hardware through years of expertise in software, including the haptics.

I have the phone and it's so good ! The only issue I have is that it takes around 3 seconds to capture a photo when using flash and even the 48mp is slow.

This isn't particularly groundbreaking in 2020 though. Pixel 3a did this trick very well at a similar price point, and I believe was the first to take the chance with consumers paying less for a top mid-range with a fantastic pictures (let's not get into Google's emphasis on software vs hardware- the end result is excellent). Apple has done the trick with the SE. There are rumors of Google considering it for the upcoming Pixel 5.
That being said, it's always refreshing to see a video that doesn't slam a device for not having the latest features without seeing the big picture

I'm happy with this, I've always appreciated OnePlus, they seem to be one of the few phone companies really trying to not leave their loyal fan base in the dust, amidst the more expensive phones of recent years. I still enjoy the 6T, it's still fast, reliable and pleasant to use! The NORD is an obvious upgrade choice for me over the 8 and 8pro (and even the eventual T series'), I'm happy to say, the NORD is the first new phone I've considered buying in a long while. I would suggest that you look at the 7t for your upgrade choice which is very close in price with the NORD but has more or less better specs in every single department. I would even rate it above the oneplus 8 as the 7t has a better camera setup. The only thing it's missing would be 5g which I don't think is relevant in most countries right now.

@@donnawoodward3163 Nope I am specifically talking about the 7t. The 7t has an extra telephoto lens (12Mp) compared to the shitty 2mp Macro Gimmick the OP 8 has and costs way less. The camera on the 7t as a result actually outperforms the OP8 and you can check multiple reviews for that. The 855 plus is more or less equal to the 865 in day to day tasks (at max 10 percent difference in heavy tasks) which is pretty negligible to be honest.

Dear Mrwhosetheboss, I have an interesting question for you: considering the snapdragon 845 and 855 are better than the 765g, wouldnât be better for oneplus to put one of the first two chip on the new nord to have better performance and cheaper price?

845 and 855 doesn't support 5G
845 and 855 doesn't have 5G modem, but 855+ does, but again it would cost more to build a "budget" phone.
Can the 845 or 855 download at 3.4Gbps?
