I am very sorry for the pains and the trauma that the success of the Nigerian music and Nigerian music industry have caused the entire ghanaian population. To recover from this terrible pains and trauma, it is advisable that they talk less and stop claiming that everything started from Ghana. We Nigerians wish Ghanaians a speedy recovery.

I keep saying this, Ghana had artists with one hit wonders such as VIP, Tic Toc, Tinny, Mzbel which popped in Nigeria they believd they dominated Nigeria yet the biggest artists during the same in Africa were from Nigeria.
Fast forward to today, Patapaa, Black Sheriff, Camidoh have big songs in Nigeria but are they the biggest artists in Africa?
Nigeria has always been the leaders during all the era's of music.
Highlife, Nigeria had Fela Afrobeat, Afro juju, Ogene.
    Reggae, Nigeria had Galala, Afropop.
    Makosa, Nigeria has Afrobeat.
    Amapiano, Nigeria still have Afrobeat.
Pidgin is rooted to Nigeria from the south south part. It is a collective from English, Wazobia(the 3 major tribes in Nigeria). Ghanaians in Nigeria took pidgin back to Ghana during the "Ghana must go" so y'all should stop 🧢🧢🧢
Nigerians are domineering and this reflects in our live, music, movies, business, tech, banking, culture, lifestyle......"Naija no dey carry last" is a way of life for the most populous and powerful black nation.

Ghanaians are like the man that wakes up at 4:00 pm and starts greeting “good morning” simply because he sees the sun in the sky. They have lived in their cocoon of fantasy thinking the world revolves around them and oblivious what others are doing only for them to think they originated everything other Africans are doing. The ‘am-the-first’ mentality is an ingrained Ghanaian syndrome. They sample other people’s work and incorporate it in their work and turn around and claim that they are the original creators

2face Face to Face album was 2004. African Queen song had a massive success, it was a soundtrack in an American movie, Phat Girlz released in 2006. Even the likes of Tiktok and vip were averagely popular in Nigeria because of their collaboration with Tony Tetuila and 2face respectively. When I was growing up, Makosa was even more popular in Nigeria than Ghanaian music. That's why Nigerians can never forget Awilo Logomba name. Even South African music like Yvonne Chakachaka, Brenda Fassie are more popular in Nigeria then.
I'm still trying to remember when their music dominated the African scene because they can't claim any dominance without dominating the largest country on the continent. Maybe in the 70's or 80's, I'm not sure.

    • @danielchukwu4212
      @danielchukwu4212 Před rokem +22

As a half-Ghanaian sometimes when I listen to my people I wonder what the heck is wrong with them. Growing up in Ghana from the 1960s through to 70s, Pidgin English was nonexistent in Ghana and people will make fun of you if you are unable to speak the Queen’s English and anything else was considered Klu-Brofu or Kru-Brofu, named after the Kru people of Liberian descent who predominated Accra metropolis particularly around Accra Central, Accra North and Accra West especially in places like James Town, Aayalolo Accra New Town (formerly called Lagos Town), Mamprobi, and Adabraka. The Pidgin English in started evolving after the repatriation of Ghanaians from Nigeria during the Shagari era, and many Ghanaians returned with their newly acquired tastes and acculturation in Nigeria. Nigerian terminologies became more common and widely used. In fact the first time I heard of Jaguda, alero, agbero and a few others was in Ghana in early 80s and not when I first traveled to Nigeria years later. I remember the 1960s and 70s when Victor Uwaifo’s songs like ‘guitar boy’ was all over the Ghanaian radio stations, and in the early and mid 70s Sonny Okosun was the rave singer in Ghana with his great hits like’ fire in Soweto’, and also Evi Edna Ogoli-Ogosi in the late 80s and throughout the 90s was all over the Ghanaian airwaves. So, I find it very pathetic and troubling when a generation that is born after the fact will claim they know what has happened more than the generation that witnessed the events. Many of the generation of people today were either too young or never born during the 1970s leading to the Rawlings’ June 4, 1979 Revolution and yet they are all over social media telling fanciful stories in the name of history.

@@danielchukwu4212 Thank you brother. I remember very well, pidgin got to Liberia before Ghana. The Liberians were moving away from their warring nation. The Nigerian soldiers brought pidgin to Liberia before, during and after the war.
Secondly, Nigerian don't say things about Ghana that they don't know about, but the Ghanaians say ignorant things about Nigeria effortlessly. Some weeks ago, one said Nigeria only eat Eba and noodles, the ignoramus don't know Nigeria has over 200 indigenous tribes with their own foods.

They know they can't do a video because they would have to interview Ebo Taylor, their own Ghanian legend who is alive and was a classmate to Fela Kuti in the UK. I understand that you’re just saying all these based on what you know.
Nigerians are doing great in music because they can actually sing so well and not because of their population.
Nigerians have ear for good music so they dance and vibe to any good sound from any country.

Do u believe they didn’t know we have Nigerian Highlife artists from 50s to 70s such as Bobby Benson “Taxi Driver”, Ostia Osadebe “Osundu Owendi”, Victor Olaiya “Baby Jowo” etc.
Ghanaians like dis guy wearing white feels music only exist in Ghana. He said Nigerians r doing Ghana music. I blame Mr Eazi for dis nonsense 😂

22:40 point of correction, I grew up in the 80s listening to Afro beat in Nigeria. So you are not being sincere with your comment on Nigeria acceptance of Afro beat name on time until like 10 years ago. Africa countries have their names for each genre of their music. Nigeria genre of it music is Afro beats. Period!!!

Ghanaians you like capping when you sit your together. And its becoming obvious you were local. Because your artiste where popping in ghana does that mean they were big outside ghana? Your biggest artiste during the hiplife era was VIP, and VIP was signed by A Nigerian label. Kennis . And you talked about winning Mobo, now checked the past mobo winners if you wil see any hip life artiste there. You cap too much.

There has never been a time that Ghana was known in music in W Africa, or Africa. Never a time even till date. Ghana does not make history, they claim other peoples' achievements and history.
From the beginning of Time till now, Ghana has never ranked in the first 20 music countries in Africa. Even Angelina Kidjo has single-handedly kept Benin republic above Ghana in music. Tell me one Ghanaian musician that compares to Tanzania's Harmonize or Platnumz?
In practically everything, Ghana has always flown on the wings of Nigeria. But the make the most mouth and most claims. They have claimed to own Jamaica's Reggae and Dancehall, America's Hip Hop, now it's South Africa's Amapiano. Everything Nigeria has ever created and will ever create Ghana will claim ownership. Only The Lazy does what Ghanaians do.

if not for respect that goes with sovereignty countries like ghana , , benin ,togo are just like some states in the Nigeria federation .. Mr sammy Flex you using your local champions to force competition with the only Super power black nation which is Nigeria is like you using your father to compete with Dangote wealth ... Monkeys play by size and level , ghana Ivory coast , Senegal , Cameroon ,Uganda are on thesame level ,Ghana isn't even up to Tanzania , SA level in Africa .. when we talking about general ART , from movie , music, comedy , fashion , literature and play writing ghana can't compete with Lagos state in Nigeria talkess of the Nigeria whole federation .. Nigerians don't dwell on fallacies, they aren't complainers , Nigerians aren't theorist or debaters, Nigerians don't sit on laurels or having entitlements expectations or even watching what the next man are doing , Nigerians are the most tunnel visional industrious Africans and that is just it

You guys should step up your game, cook nice sounds and push your music across the border. The question is, is Nigeria the only Country doing pretty well musically in Africa and that has taken their sounds to the western world? The answer is no, so, there are other musicians from other African nations who are making Africa proud in the west. it is up to you to work on your beats. We don't enjoy the type of music you guys play and even the so-called dancehall that you guys do does not have the type of sounds that can easily get one`s body. You guys should stop being local.
