    Excellent strategy with targetting either the shield generator or the sensor on whether the dorsal or ventral sides of the enemy presents itself.

    If that cruiser had pitched down instead of up, exposing shield generator at the end, it would have been a little more dicey.

    I really like the muted green this Vorcha has rather than the lizard green a lot of them have. It resembles the starfleet color scheme a little more, which is fitting seeing how the Vorcha class was the first class of Klingon ship designed with technology shared (mutually) by the federation. Great battle!

      Thank you! Yeah I love the colours on this Vor'Cha, distinctive but not in your face

      It certainly was a challenge 😂 The Vor'Cha can't tank like a Starfleet heavy cruiser!

    I didn't think Vor'Cha would be that outclassed by a Jem'Hadar battlecruiser. Good thing you stuck to it like a fly to shit, and kept up the pressure. Those beam arcs on the battlecruiser are something else, it literally has no weakspot. 4 polaron beams at once ventrally at all times... nasty! With a quick recharge, too. And the shields regen pretty fast, too. I don't wanna IMAGINE what would've happened if this was an AI vs AI battle... I think the Vor'cha would've been dead in the first 90 seconds lol.
    I'd like to have seen more use of the cloak, maybe that could've let you stay more in the rear arc of that thing. Then again maybe the weapon coverage is just too good for that...
    Anyway. Vor'cha is definitely the underdog here. I think it would benefit from at least some ablative armour (maybe at the expense of shielding), to let you use the cloak tactically. Not sure if the Klingons ever developed it though, so that's a problem.
    And now I really want to see a Jem'Hadar battlecruiser vs. Devore Warship. I think those two ships are actually very similar in tactical application and relative strength. Both have excellent beam coverage, good shields, medium-toughness hull, and strong forward arcs. And also, going from this, I think the Vor'cha is no match for the Devore ship. Just a educated guess.

      My take on the Vor'Cha is that its a tier below the Galaxy or Nebula class but is more numerous. Its about equal to an Ambassador class, with the Vor'Cha having a big advantage in agility and firepower but the Ambassador class is way more tanky.
      I didn't cloak because the Battlecruiser has 360 degree firing arcs and the Vor'Cha doesn't have great hull plating. Attempting to cloak would have been suicide.
      The Vor'Cha would have an easier time with a Devore Warship, its fast and agile enough to stay out of its forward arc and the Devore Warship has rubbish secondary weapons compared to its Dominion counterpart. I'll record a Devore vs Dominion battle for you and do Vor'Cha vs Devore for good measure 👍

      My thoughts on the Vorcha is that is a ship built at the crossroads of Klingon ship philosophy, and reflects the signing of the Alliance with the Federation. It was in the works for years but Klingon tech is actually behind Starfleet. They benefited greatly from some limited tech exchange. One sees the transition from the Ambush Predator doctrine to something more well rounded. But, the Vorcha is still very much an ambush predator. Too much firepower up front, better, but still not good, 360 firing arcs. It is the hybrid between the ambush predator and a brawler. In my view, this is why it isn't as good a capital ship. It is a good heavy cruiser but limited in that role.

      @crownprincesebastianjohano7069 Před 14 dny

      @@adamlee2111 I think its Ambrush Predator design makes it less useful. Whereas it could have nearly the same firepower of a Nebula it is front-heavy with limited 360 degree arcs. Much better than a Kvort, but the tactic to defeat this ship is always avoid the front or rear. It isn't as good of a capital ship that can anchor a squadron like the Nebula or Ambassador. But it is moderately produced and a good replacement for Kvorts. The Klingons need a change in doctrine though. They are still too niche as the Dominion War demonstrated. They always specialized in using a heavy ship as a hammer and B'rels to harry the enemy to divide their firepower. But when faced by the Dominion that could crank out far more Bug ships, and with a superior capital ship with better all-around firepower, the Klingons were outmatched. This was mitigated by the presence of heavier Starfleet cruisers to fight with them, but on their own, not great. Romulans suffer from the same issue.

      @@crownprincesebastianjohano7069 Yes I get the impression that in Dominion War fleet engagements, Federation ships served as the 'anchor points' to keep the enemy attention, while the Klingons and Romulans could use their ambush tactics to best effect, on targets-of-opportunity that present themselves.
      Well, mainly the Klingons. Romulans can't really fight in a fleet engagement, due to how impractical their Warbirds are for that. And that was shown by their losses. At least until they switched to the Mogai near the end of the War.

    • @necroticavalon5176
      @necroticavalon5176 Před 13 dny +1

      @@crownprincesebastianjohano7069 Klingons just don't do 'capital ships' well. It goes contrary to their whole philosophy in battle. They like to be on the attack, taking and holding the initiative, outmaneuvreing the enemy. That works great in skirmishes and ambushes, but not fleet combat.
      Romulans are shoehorned into their one-trick-pony cloaking alpha-strike doctrine, after which they have no idea what to do, other then to try and cloak/repeat (leaving themselves exposed and vulnerable).
      Ironically, the Cardassian doctrine of rigid, mutually-reinforcing battle lines, and ships designed as mobile bunkers, are actually best suited for fleet engagements, out of all major Alpha and Beta quadrant powers. if their tech didn't lag so far behind everyone elses, they'd be a serious contender to all other powers.

    Nice!! I know you do your own modding. You’ve balanced many of these ships really well. Is there a hardpoint modification for shield balancing, or is that another script entirely?

    • @adamlee2111
      @adamlee2111  Před 16 dny

      Thank you! You can change the shield strength by either downloading Model Property Editor and editing the hardpoint file through that, or you can use Notepad++ to edit the hardpoint file directly

    The vor’cha is slightly weaker in its energy weapons, it’s torpedos are FAR weaker, however it’s shields are almost as strong, with double the hulk strength, fully armored, and piloted by Klingons, though on paper the vor’cha should lose, I can see them winning some of the time
