Good to know that - means the cuff links are dated between 1870 and 1890, but the picture looks like it could be older than that and could have been inserted into the cuff link frame.
It's a shame the wee compass wasn't silver. It'd have been well worth having it restored if it was. That ghost lady brooch is really nice though. A crackin day of finds!

Ghost lady is it a locket, by that I mean does the back hinge open. Sometimes they would have them painted of a loved one (no camera's) and keep a lock of their hair in them.

I'm happy with a pre decimal, but I think I need to up my goals lol..
Now I do remember this one, that permission is loaded with pre decimals, I've had hundreds if not thousands over the years. landowner is very awkward and lives on site

Another coin fest! That ghost lady thing is interesting, might be worth asking the landowner if they know anything about it. I reckon the blue circular thing I’d a drawer or cupboard handle, very nice whatever it may be. @@seanlevett1683 in comparison theres probably 20 Equinox users for every ORX user. I am currently editing a video where me n reynolds compared around 20 signals. The Equinox definitely performed better with much clearer signals in the deep targets. The ORX is brilliant on pasture but the Equinox punches deeper and you will find more with it

Yes more or less becouse the orx is a higher kHz machine than the deus, the pitch is slightly higher sounding on silver and high conductor targets becouse of the higher kHz settings on the orx.but the deus has more programmes available than the orx but both machines are awsome machines. A lot of people like the sifter programme on the deus, but I still like to use the gold max power settings on the deus,which sounds exactly the same as the settings on the orx coin fast coin deep settings. They both have great depth capabilities,Fantastic machines I have had about 20 machines over the last 8 years, but these Xp machines are the best I have used by a long shot. Would not use eneything else now only one machine that came close to the deus is the gold max power 18 kHz machine, which is a analogue machine where the deus is a wireless digital readout machine.👍😊

Hi bud no I have not used a minelab equinox 800, had minelab sovereigns in the past but I love my Xp deus and orx machines I think the recovery speed on the xp machines is better than the minelab machines but I am biased towards xp eneyway would not want one really happy with my two Xp machines bud

Hi what coils do you use
Hi Dave I use the 13 inch X35 on pasture for big amounts of ground coverage. Then I use the much smaller 9 inch HF coil for woodland or other awkward terrains. Hope this helps
looks like a broach youth...maybe belonging to a mother...meh, I don't know...be interesting to see if it has a chamber with a locking hair though.
