In case ya'all interested, Yannis posted a link to the isolated vocal file in the video description. :)
So tempted to skip to the last notes. So glad I didn't, this bloke did the song justice and THAT is saying something.
The last note is one of the greatest things in rock...ever...
I hope you will check out more of Yannis. His band, Beast in Black, is fantastic!
Saw them open for nightwish twice in the decades tour. Really nice show.
He sang for a Greek metal band called Warrior Path on their debut album too... Mind bugging good to hear him sing some "Iron Maiden" style metal ;)
czcams.com/video/mKXggfCYyec/video.html
@@adelphus515 just a showcase of his incredible vocal range, Warrior Path is probably on of the best albums of 2019, too bad they couldn´t get him back for the 2nd album
@@hansele666 Couldn't agree more !
@@adelphus515 Don't forget Wardrum!
The reaction we all have been waiting for!!
And didn't get disappointed AT ALL! Thanks for the great Saturday evening!
Of course! Great to see your comments always :)
@@BigBrainSinger Ooh thanks, glad they make you happy!
Yesterday We have had a special edition of the 'Beste Zangers' in the Netherlands. It's a eurovision version and Floor Jansen posted her cover version of the eurovison contest song 'Euphoria' on youtube, yesterday.
So glad you did this one, it's such an experience!
Yannis is one of the future of Metal ....i love his work at Beast in Black ....all 3 cds are great
3? I remember 2 ^^
@@Dosenpruegel only 2 unless they put out one I missed. Have both cds.
Yannis is pure dope ♥
This was interesting, thank you. Floor talks about the high note ending when she does a reaction of herself singing GLS.
His other covers are great too. Love his cover of Periphery's Scarlett. Brings out more heavy metal side. He also can do harsh vocals, it is just not really used in Beast in Black.
So glad to see Tuomas's work being covered by others.
Well if I was wondering whether it was the actual music or just Floors amazing singing that "made" this song, there is no doubt now... the song AND Floor's singing. No wonder that original video has such a blast on the net.
I can hear Marco saying: "Yes, He is going to do it"
"Let it go" by Yannis was an interesting one :)
I understand the lyrics better with his version too.
I love this guy! What a find!
Dang, he's good.
Great analysis Charlie! One thing I know for sure exploring the upper register is it's so much harder to sustain soft, controlled, connected volume is way the hell harder than singing loudly. I try to practice quietly, then apply the gas. Just my approach. Take care all. 🤘
Yeah I take that approach too! One thing I’ve found to work is to make sure whatever pitch you’re starting on is in a supported head voice clean onset but with the same loft and release of the highest note you’re singing. Thanks for your insight :)
@@BigBrainSinger that said, I also get a lot of 'don't do that' from my vocal teacher, lol. 🤣
Yannis' cover of Sahara, also by Nightwish, is frankly much better than the original.
Tarja did NOT leave the stage during the staccato part, she left at 28:00. She just didn’t do the fancy stuff that floor added. But hey, it’s usual for somebody who is essentially doing a cover to come up with their own riffs and licks.
Charlie?!🤩 now we want to hear YOU singing this song! 🤩😍😱🤪😎😏
lol I'll give a full operatic rendition maybe... probably an octave lower than this :P
Ooooh bloody hell yeah!🤩 PLEEEEEASE!😏
@@BigBrainSinger That could be interesting!
Hmmmm, Yannis and Floor in the same band. Hell yes!
If only he played bass.
@@ZzKevZz That's what I was thinking. Not sure a Greek would be able to handle not being the front man to a woman.
@@gregjetnikoff7124 Come on, he's a young Greek man and will not have any problems with that! I'm half Greek myself btw.
@@MissSylvia67 I mean why would anyone have a problem with that? Floor is awesome.
I love good counter tenors!!!!
Panos Geo Covers "Ghost Love Score". Vocals by Angel Wolf-Black. That is a good cover as well. Yhe whole band is good.
I think Angel has been in Kitee, where they have this yearly music week in summer time. European, at least mainly, vocalists, musicians performing Nightwish/Tuomas' songs.
EDEN - NOORA LOUHIMO & Steve`n Seagulls video from FI. Noora In BATTLE BEAST amazing voice.
And Yannis sang duet with Floor in the last Nightwish concert of this year. 😍
Went to see Turmion Katilot, Beast in Black, and Nightwish in Dusseldorf on 1st Dec, they did not disappoint, and my poor long suffering wife who is not a metal fan or even a Nightwish fan was blown away and wants to go do it again.
Is there a recording of that anywhere?
Amazing!
Some people in chat said Tarja left the stage after the operatic onsets - That is wrong she still sang the last part including:
My fall will be for you
My fall will be for you
My love will be in you
You were the one to cut me
So I'll bleed forever
On the studio recording.
Tarja left the stage after "My love will be in you" in the End of Era Concert 2005.
But Floor sang all of it and than repeated that beginning of that part with this crazy high long belt.
Absolutely something different 😄
Indeed!
Funny that Battle Beast - King for a Day was my next song after i found this one. And i see it here too
I love your reactions
I love you
Yannis and Beast in Black are just a Blast!!!
Al fin 👏👏👏👏 cuando lo escuché por primera vez en Beast in black (Blind and Frozen) fue sorpresa ver el video y esa voz tan singular pero es potentisima =) y me encantó ésta versión de Ghost Love Score 👏👏👏
Aprovechando que soy la primera, please reacts to Unisonic - Exceptional with a great power metal singer Michael Kiske 😎
Someone has mixed Bless the Child between Tarja from end an era and Floor from Wacken and it is gold. Same with Ever Dream and double Marko is my fav.
Yannis is a god
Oh you finally did this? Yay!
Check out the end is near by primal fear. Ralf does vocal lessons.
Finally
your comments were first class listen to Yannis with BEAST IN BLACK performing BLIND AND FROZEN and if you have not already heard it i will guarentee it will explode your brain....one of the greatest songs i have heard in a long time along with the great album DARK CONNECTION an unmissable album....paul age 75 from manchester u.k.
Floor Jansen - Euphoria | Beste Zangers Songfestival czcams.com/video/FOBgrpkOIVE/video.html
He’s classically trained…
Tarja did do the chants. The staccato “huh”s in the middle of the song.
Rolf Sanchez - Solo otra vez (All by myself) | Beste Zangers 2019

This "performance" makes Floor’s skills even more respected.
what's that supposed to mean?
New Song from Floor Jansen is out. "Euphoria"
czcams.com/video/FOBgrpkOIVE/video.html
They don't teach that shit in italian style classical vocal training ;)
Sorry, bur I rather look Floor in her outfits....😁
Tarja: *makes a really good original song*
Floor Jansen: "Hold my leather..."
Yannis Papadopolous: "Hold my balls..."
Nope, not for me. It's just wrong. IMO.
Wrong? In what sense? If you don't like his voice then just say so. There is NOTHING wrong with having different voice for a dude or for a woman.
@@MisfitNightmare This song is also called Ghost Love Floor .
For me, he can sing anything but not this song. MY OPINION.
@@eddiecreutzburg7375 but you can't forbid him do that. If you don't like it - just ignore it. That's it.
@@MisfitNightmare I did
@@eddiecreutzburg7375 if you truly did, then this whole conversation would not happen and you wouldn't have written a comment about it.
If i don't like something i ignore it but don't make it loud aka, i don't write anything about it - i just skip through that something and that's it.
Okay. Clear. Floor makes music for which she uses her skills, 100% in the service of the music. Yannis clearly just wants to show his skills here. Virtuosity is not the same as musicality.
If you say so.
