A year after these bumpers premiered, these characters got their own show called “Bump in the Night”. The green monster became Mr. Bumpy (named so for his origin in commercial bumpers), the blue monster became Squishington, and the doll became Molly Coddles. The show lasted for two seasons and a 90-minute Christmas special.

I never cared for the jingle, But Bump in the night was some amazing stop frame. We don't really have anything of this quality and effort anymore.

If memory serves me correctly, Bump in The Night aired on Channel 4 back in the day here in the UK! It aired on Pop in 2004.

Saturday Morning Cartoons will always the best things I grew up with. That was really the only time you could see animated program back in the day. Yes in the early 80's into the late 90's other channels started making their own animated shows but they were still showing animated program on the main three networks. ABC, CBS and NBC. I think ABC was the last of the main three that lasted longer in having a Saturday Morning block for kids up till the early 2000's. I know that there were WB or whatever it became that were showing animated programs still but for the main 3 ABC was the last one to show anything for kids/teens. Miss those days getting up early on Saturday to watch me some cartoon shows you couldn't see anywhere else but ABC, CBS or NBC.

Its sad to know that if this show was made today it would be done with CGI instead of traditional clay animation.
