@@monkeh86 Watch again, she went to shake his hand but Rory only offered an elbow, as Rory is Muslim, so he doesn't shake hands with women. Whenever there's a female referee he tends to puts his hand on his chest instead of a handshake. However, since covid he has 'elbowed' females. So strangely, due to covid he has found a way to shake hands with females without actually shaking their hand! lol

Anyone else think on 1:32 he should have played for the very bottom red first? If not, leave himself in a position to pot the highest red into the center pocket. I felt he made a mess of that break and it seems as though this hasn't been thought through on shot-selection and mapping of the balls on the table.
Rory bored her senseless, she lost her will to live after the first frame. Joking aside, he is a steady player is Rory, goes about his business in a methodical, albeit predictable manner and does his best with his limited abilities, congratulations to the fellow.
Ng, is probably the best female player on the female circuit, the most talented and definitely the most industrious, she doesnt whine and make excuses and pretend she is something she isnt, she doesn't seek 'handouts' and she appears determined to achieve her goals on merit. Respect to the lass.

Not sure there should be a Woman's tour for snooker. Maybe one combined tour, for men and women. Men have no physical advantage, do they? The situation is that so many more men play snooker, that there are more truly great ones. Just a numbers game. I would think even women would object to a tour for only women. Makes little sense.

The only physical advantage men have is cue power which in the grand scheme of things isn’t that major so ye probably shouldn’t have a womens tour

Also, some players will just take wildcards on ridiculously politicized basis, or because they are friends with Barry Hearn, or just because they're ambassadors of the game, been here for so long . When you sum it up, 10-12 players should go to Q school.

At the end of the game, am I the only one that noticed she extended the elbow for the handshake to Rory and shook hands with the referee? That seemed strange.
Actually she offered a hand shake but Rory probably unintentionally responded with the elbow
I've seen this before from him. My understanding is that he is muslim and for some, physical contact with the opposite sex is prohibited

If you are right, it is partially hypocritical from him because he already agreed and accepted the fact they are equal rivals, and if after the winning line he refused to shake hand because of the religious protocol he would be a undercover cheater to both his religion and the sport he loves. And not just that, but I don't believe you, he is far more professional. This other times you mentioned, are they in the COVID era?
P.S. If you are too sensitive, underline that following the religion is beneficial to everyone, this is pure speculation why he used his elbow in a professional snooker match.

Genuine question. What makes males so much better at none physical sports than women?
Snooker is mainly a physical sport. But to answer your question, men's and women's brain's are different.
Must be some research on this issue. I bet chemicals in the body drive men in the practise more and to put in more hours. Climbing at trees and other random physical activity at age five might give advantage to learn physical skills faster at age of 10-16. Snooker is not a good place to compare, but equestrian sports for example since the girls out number the boys and every one is in the same competition. Competition also drives development and there are top riders both women and men in equestrian sports.
I think one of the reasons why aren't that many professional women playing is simply that it's mostly men that have an interest in the game.
@@sonicdiablo8968 That's nonsense. There are pool tables in nearly every pub up and down the country and I've played with many men and women 100s of times. Every man I've ever played has a natural instinct for playing the game even if they weren't particularly interested in the game and almost every woman I've ever played was virtually hopeless at it, no matter how enthusiastic they were. It's simple biology - testosterone changes the male brain, it's as simple as that. Tell any boy of 12-13 years old to throw a ball and they'll instinctively throw it underarm like a baseball player. Tell any girl of the same age to do the same and they'll immediately try to throw it overarm just like a 6 year old kid. The difference between male and female instinctive physical ability couldn't be any more obvious. It's as obvious as their difference in appearance.
