    The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is an open world action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the fifth main installment in The Elder Scrolls series, following The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 11, 2011.
    The game's main story revolves around the player character and their quest to defeat Alduin the World-Eater, a dragon who is prophesied to destroy the world. The videogame is set two hundred years after the events of Oblivion, and takes place in the fictional province of Skyrim. Over the course of the game, the player completes quests and develops the character by improving skills. The game continues the open world tradition of its predecessors by allowing the player to travel anywhere in the game world at any time, and to ignore or postpone the main storyline indefinitely.

      They invaded Tamriel looking for a Dragonborn. After the assassination of the Last Akaviri Potentate, The Interregnum began. I believe the Tsaesci will invade again very soon. The Akaviri Dragonguard probably came to Tamriel to hunt dragons, they crossed Morrowind, Skyrim and High Rock, but then retreated to the Pale Pass and were stuck, because of the harsh weather and the supply line was cut by Vivec and his soldiers. Then Reman came from south and you know the rest...
      Reman saw this as an opportunity and allowed them to settle. Versidue-Shae , who was with the invaders, is described as tsaesci, so they were most likely tsaesci warroirs. After the Assassination of Reman III. the Dragonguard was disbanded, because of their failure to protect him and a new guard named the Honor Guard protected the Potentates. There is a stone tablet in ESO of an Honor Guard member named Sadineras-Kos, who committed some kind of suicide ritual, after Emperor Kastav died.

      I think there's a Theory that some of the Humans from Ionith were enslaved to fight for the Tsaesci during their Invasion

  • @justsomewitcherwithalongsw4233

    If I’m remembering correctly, when the text said the Tsaesci devoured the humans, don’t believe it meant eaten. It can also mean conquer depending on use. To conquer a nation, devour its people into submission. Like they ‘devoured’ the red and black dragons. While trying to do the same with Tamriel. Sure they most likely ate what slaves they didn’t need for labor, but being eaten to extinction kinda contradicts the Akaviri becoming dragon slayers for the Tsaesci as their Dragon Guard. Before they eventually pledged their allegiance to Tiber Septim, centuries later. I could just be contradicting myself here, but again it’s been a while since I’ve read the lore.

    the continent of Akavir is more like the East Asian counterpart of our world from what I see.
    Tang-mo would probably be South East Asia, Kamal are Mongolians or Siberians, Ka Po' Tun is certainly Chinese while Tsaesci would be the Japanese especially since they were the one's who brought the Katana's and eastern style temples to Tamriel.
    would be interesting if ES6 assuming it's going to be set on the 5th era that they'd expand on this.

    • @eatsthedarkness8059
      @eatsthedarkness8059 Před 5 lety

      Yep, i agree, most of the races from elder scrolls are based of the cultures from the real world. I don't believe it will take place in the 5th era, only with Skyrim they did a huge timejump. Most of the games played only a few years apart, like Morrowind, Arena, Daggerfall and Oblivion. I guess TES 6 will play a few years later after Skyrim, because they were setting way to much up with the Thalmor, etc. It would be a waste to just jump right into the 5th era without reason, there is still a lot they can continue with.

    • @yanagida_01
      @yanagida_01 Před 5 lety

      @@eatsthedarkness8059 yeah would be a shame if they'd just skip the thalmor conflict by doing time jumps, my guess is that it would probably take place at the end of the 4th era and if possible close to the timeline of the 2nd great war if it ever happens, especially since ES6 is more likely to take place at High Rock where the Dirreni tower presumably the last active tower in tamriel still stands. though not really sure, maybe I'll just wait for ES6 but looking at Bethesda's current track record... ehh dunno, but Beth might be back on it's feet if they release ES6 or Starfield

    • @eatsthedarkness8059
      @eatsthedarkness8059 Před 5 lety

      @@yanagida_01 From the information we have right now, it's most likely Hammerfell and due to the Thalmor conflict being still active, according to Kematu, we will probably have a timejump of less than 10 years. Why would the thalmor conflict erupt, at the end of a whole era, that would be way too much time wasted and too much work for Bethesda to filll this gap with lore.

    One small bit of information is known that was excluded is that the Nerevarine made way for Akavir, though whether they even made landfall is a mystery. However, the Nerevarine is hardier than most, and regardless of age could still be alive due to their very nature. Such a prominent figure in history would most surely return in some capacity should Akavir invade in a future game, even if only in a book or something of the sort.
