I packed 11 books for the voyage! Never sure what there is to read and the first thing I do on Viking is head to the library to see what books people have left behind. Then we do the same with ours; read and leave. Thanks so much Chip, and hope all is good with you. 🥰
Thanks for sharing, we just booked our first Viking Mars cruise so your tour was helpful. Forgive me if I misheard, but did you mention that the first thing you do once onboard is go to the book exchange and grab “at least five or six books”? Even factoring in that the books are returned once read, could you possibly read “5 or 6” books simultaneously? Surely it would be more considerate to borrow one book at a time?
I appreciate your thoughtful reply but it’s been my experience that most cruisers don’t read as much as I do. I am also a fast reader, come with a load of books and replenish, immediately! I love books so Viking would be my sort of cruise line! The food looked wonderful! Is it very expensive to pay the staff to do the washing? For me, 'washing' and 'holiday' is a contradiction in terms, but in the end, some thought has to be given to the cost! Thank you for the video and have an amazing day!
Viking has a launderette, free for guests on every deck, detergent included! 👍 Always busy but since I usually am awake in early morning, would go throw in a load before 6a, wash and dry. I just did laundry 2x because we had another cruise after this one, and gone 34 days. Hopefully you watched the entire video to see the launderette ?? towards the end. Clean undies are paramount 😂

Hello, nice video. In which deck were you? I will travel next year but I am not sure about to pay the cheaper cabin or a DV cabin? Deck 3 is it ok? what do you suggest me? regards
Hi Fede. Darn put I don’t even remember what deck we were on. Our cabin this time was an exception because they upgraded us and it was a little larger. But even the rock bottom price cabins on all decks are exactly the same; all outside with veranda. And lower decks are more stable in a storm. Hope this helps?
