I haven't used the talons but the chinese orange ones do work well and at least when i got my 12 que system , they were easily available on ebay in packs of 25 , 100 etc and various lengths up to 7 meters

Yeah, I never like talons for that reason. If you get a bad batch of them the wire does not heat up high enough to ignite the fuse. I would stick with MJG igniters or you can risk those orange ones from China. Nice demo though, sad to see you might have to find more matches.

Honestly, I've never had any problems with getting the 'orange' initiators. They are just hit or miss on E-bay...

When using clip igniters it's all about the system and having enough power output, Some system use lower voltage low amperage power sources and don't have a long enough cue On time to properly ignite the clip igniters. A firing system with a good power source and a cue On time of at least .50 seconds will instantly ignite fuse using clip igniters.
