- For the first time since 2007, the PDGA National Tour made a stop at the International Disc Golf Center in Appling, Georgia. The battle for the men's open crown boiled down to a lead card of Ricky Wysocki, Nikko Locastro, Garrett Gurthie, and David Feldberg. Wysocki leads Locastro by a single stroke going into the final round at the W.R. Jackson course.

All time favorite disc golf round to watch on CZcams, great players and great course
Fantastic vid Marty!
Nikko needs a coach to teach him how to BE a professional. I met him and Ricky Wysocki for a practice round at Tyler(Eric Yetter) and I saw a little boy brat and a true professional(Ricky). Nikko had a fit and took his nut bag and beat it into the ground repeatedly in a complete fit of rage. I think his sponsors should know of his actions and reprimand him. He is an incredible player but it;s no excuse to to have that kind of an ego.
On a more positive note, Ricky Wysoki was a complete pro. Very respectful and pleasant. I asked him for a few pointers for sidearm and he actually took the time to watch me throw and then show me a few neat things. He's aces in my book.
Soooooo, Nikko? GROW THE HELL UP!
And Ricky? Thanks and keep on rockin that sidearm!
Markus
+Markus Alt This is one of his more tame appearances and still the crying about his behavior. We have like one colorful guy in disc golf where everybody is stone cold boring to watch and people do nothing but whine about Locastro if he so much as berates himself. The guy is super competitive and very self-critical. It doesn't really take anything away from the sport. Nikko is young, he'll get to the point where he plays like a zombie the same way everybody else does. Then people will still be talking about how he "used" to be so unprofessional when they run out of complaints.
They just keep getting better. Thank you Marty!
I feel like I should be paying for this coverage. Thanks Marty.
Just finished! What a round by Ricky!
I'll save 1080p for my second viewing tomorrow at lunch!
These are amazing videos, Marty. I can't express how much enjoyment they bring me. Thank you for making them!
Martyhmcgee you have no idea how happy you make me. I feel like a kid on christmas who got exactly what he wanted if not better.
Excellent work on these videos - they are amazing! They are perfect for showing non-DG friends what the game is all about at the highest levels. Compelling photography, fast moving, and no annoying commentary or music.....and just enough player reaction is captured. Thanks!
For those of you who couldn't find it, the foot fault is at 23:10.
That roller nikko laid down was insane. Film can't capture how absurd of a shot that is to go for.
If you guys ever get a chance to play the IDGC this course is off the chain! One of the best of all time IMHO
This is the first disc golf video I ever saw. I immediately fell in love with the sport. Great video, and thank you for the introduction to my new hobby.
Ricky is an absolute monster out there just terrorizing the course. Thanks very much for all the hard work filming and editing all of this it is really fantastic footage.
Thanks for your dedication, especially on a day like that. Great job as usual Marty!
Great video Marty - thanks a lot.
CZcams does a lot of post-processing of HD video streams to allow them to stream correctly, by applying some wizard-like compression to the uploaded video, and that is why the HD version often isn't available for a little while after uploading.
i'm surprised and actually impress that Nikko called the foot fault on a Prodigy teammate. Great video, great footage and that course looks gnarly man. wow.
What a great treat we have here, a wild feldberg in its natural environment!!
Glad to hear you enjoy the game, Paul. Congrats on your four aces!
I was standing at the turn on 18 in the white/red hat. Saw the top 5 or so cards come in. Nikko's roller was freaking UNREAL to see in person.
Wow! Can't believe you got this up so fast! Thank you Marty!
Love this video - great job guys really captured the essence of playing.
I was pretty stoked to see the rule calling by Nikko on Garrett. It's nice that they can be professional with eachother even playing for the same sponsor. And it takes almost 14 minutes for Ricky to look human? He is insane. Thanks again Marty.. this'll be getting a lot of airtime with me and my buddies.
These are some of my favorite videos! Thanks for all your hard work!
I've just started playing disc golf this year and this is great to be able to see what a good drive looks like. Thanks alot!
Awesome as always, and so quick on the edit/upload too... thanks!
thanks for another great video. Beautiful camera work
Marty!! Dave Feldberg just shared your video on Facebook!! That's huge!
How have I missed your videos for so long? Glad someone on DGCR posted the link to this video! Great work... some of the best that I've seen. I'm looking forward to checking out more! Thanks for the obvious time and effort you put into making this!
Marty, if it wasn't for you, my Mondays/Tuesdays at work would be much more productive. Awesome stuff as always!
Great video work as always! Best part of the day is seeing when you posted something. lol.
Seriously enjoy all your videos. I love that they have no commentary so it kinda makes it feel like you're there. Keep it up man.
I started playing disc golf about a year ago, I'm addicted. I now have four aces, and still getting better. I wish I could get more distance, but kind of hard with a bad back.
thanks for all of your videos dude, they are the best on youtube
Been waiting for this
Great footage, thanks for sharing. :)
Thank you for the videos! I love watching them and you do a great job filming them
Quality footage just like usual
What a round!! What coverage thanks mcflysohigh!!

Great video and great filming, especially in the rain!
Great video. Wonderful job. Great players. Keep 'em coming.
Great video by the way. Thanks a lot for the upload.

Great video Marty! I am impressed with how fast you edited and uploaded.
50,000+ views Marty!!! Awesome man. I"m so excited for you dude. Keep up the awesome videos and can't wait to get a round in with you soon.
It looked pretty fantastic on my TV already.
Keep up the great camera work. Love watching these guys.
Best disc golf vid and production I've seen. Great work
Crazy How much nikko has improved his game since 2009
David's beard is intense
I also find it comforting seeing even the pros hit trees. I live in Washington and there are plenty of trees to hit.
Really well done. Nice work.
Love the videos keep up the good work.
That's awesome, Nolan! Our sport is, imho, the most majestic of 'em all. I'm just trying to capture some of its inherent beauty. Thanks for watching!
great footage
Played this course back in 2007, at the first Hall Of Fame. The front nine didn't look too familiar here, but most of the back nine I remember. Longest 18 hole round of golf I've ever played......5 hours it was.....
Sweet vid bro!
I played this course in team dubs today in a tournament and shot three over. These top pros are hitting birdies after birdies. I now know what pros actually are.
James, you're always one of the first to watch/comment, and I appreciate your support! Just be aware that when the video first goes "live," for some reason it can't be watched in HD (1080p). That might mean you need to come back later and watch it again in more detail! ;)
Nikko seals the deal on 2nd place @23:13 haha. Excellent video!!!
@20:40 - Gotta love Nikko laying that mini down and pumping it in uphill to save his par.
ricky is my hero and the future of disc golf.
you were damn right son
your comment made the whole video funnier. everytime i saw him i just thought of it hahaah
Great footage and course looks awesome. Ricky is sick, big putt at 11:23. I don't see too many Nikko foot faults, but lots of frustrations...
Well now with this video, people who were there can watch it and make their assumptions as to what kind of character Nikko is.
The future tourneys this year will be amazing.
Wysocki is so nice that he was trying to head over to Nikko to hug him as well and that guy yanks him in the other direction. (^:
MARTY! You are the best, hands down..dont change anything..100%
I might start doing this looks pretty fun
pretty awesome introduction to the sport! Mcfly does some amazing work!
Course looks fun to play
Thanks a lot Marcus. I shoot with a Canon HF G10.
You should watch DiscMania Deep In The Game. That should point out everything you need to know for starters. The marker is needed at official tournaments and you are not allowed to cross that when you throw.
no one has to second it. It was only a warning. I do understand players still wanting to second violations resulting in warnings though since they are used to doing it and it still makes sense. I think the ruling might change again in the next rule book update.
pdga.com has all the player stats, tournament info, scores, payouts, etc.
You did a really good job on a long course in nasty weather! I feel like I'm still wet from that weekend.
Nice video and really fast! What kind of camera are you using? It looks really nice.
shit this channel is amazing and i dont even frisbee golf
Love the ninja pose @ 12:14. I'm going to have to try that.
Wonder what Ricky threw on the first throw??? Killed it!!
Nikko's heel was in line when the disc left his hand. You can even see the mark his foot leaves.
i am just glad the rain held off...
I was there when he made the shot and I saw the pivot spot, didn't really look to be a foot fault but I wasn't possitive. I was talking with Dave while they were putting out that hole and he said he wasn't going to call it but since his teamate did he had to 2nd it.
Poor "Fedlbeard" looks strung out and in need of sleep. Seems like the past two years he has just been playing stressed out. I hope to see him return to form, because he is one of my favs.
Out of Bounds
Not worrying about putting you foot down right counts for quite a bit. It can make a world of difference if you do not have to keep some (if only a little) focus/precision on the aspect of your throw.
Double G basically telling Ricky not to shake Nikko’s hand at the end.
Looks like a pretty challenging course, I don't think I'd have the control to navigate those trees.
U should try the east coast lol
Great videos! Is Feldberg a stand in for Iron and Wine?
Does the foot fault ruling work any differently with you there filming it? Aka is there instant replay to confirm the foot fault on the spot?
Good call on the footfault. I saw it and was thinking if anybody would call him on it.
Lack of commentary is definitely one of the best parts of Marty's videos.
at 28:02 he plants his foot approx 11" behind the center of the disc. Then releases the disc before moving his plant foot. Seems legal, the only dispute would be : was he farther then 11" behind his disk. GG was clearly to the side, making it an easy call.
I would not have called that foot fault on GG since it didn't look to gain an advantage but you can bet I'd be watching every throw Nikko made afterwards.
No, the silence is what makes your videos great and stand out. You want music, go watch murder mike. Vids are awesome McFly!
From the look on their faces they must be curing world hunger with their winnings or sumtin.
I fully agree.
Nikko is awesome and it's a pure joy to have someone stand out of the "norm" of player behavior. If we all were like Ricky, it would be pretty boring. I love seeing emotions in players and people in general, espacially in sports. So stop your crying please, not everyone is as boring as you.
I agree. That's why I love Happy Gilmore so much.
Nikko's a drama queen.
Oh boy oh boy oh boy!
This is a really good vid but I wish they would put what disc they are throwing
It's funny that someone seconded the foot fault call on Garrett. I guess they just aren't used to the new rules this year for stance violations. The call only has to be seconded if there will be a penalty involved. Unless he had already been called that round that was his first and only resulted in a warning which does not need to be seconded.
