- The 2014 Memorial kicked off Wednesday at Vista Del Camino Park in Scottsdale, Arizona. The last MPO foursome to tee off was Nate Doss, Nikko Locastro (fresh off a win in Vegas), Paul McBeth and defending champ Will Schusterick.

For me, seeing Paul control himself at 30:15 was the most impressive part of this video. Nikko could learn a lot from that guy.

Is that an illegal jump putt at 3:52 on hole 2? I thought you had to have one foot in contact with the ground at all times when releasing the disc? Don't see where anyone called that.
No, it's not an illegal jump putt. It's just a strange perspective from the camera.

very new to the game - why are they not teeing off in the box? I thought that was a rule?
+AmsterdamHeavy vista has really crappy slick teeboxes. they are able to tee off to the side of them because the TD has extended the teeboxes to include a patch of grass if they want to throw off of the pad.

Locastro's reactions were funny to see idk why everyone is bitching about them. People need to lighten up. It's easy to get upset when you're competitive and playing with such high ranked players. Especially, when you're not doing as well as you know you can.

I really think so, it was probably one of the other players just messing with him.
That was Nikko saying that to himself. He NEVER air's a put from inside the circle and he's very hard himself. the putt before that one git under his skin because he knows he's better then that.
Seems like Nikko was hard on himself this entire round. Kinda lost his cool I think. Sad to see from a solid player like himself.

Seemed like they were all off that round especially with the putting. Locastro could have won but took himself out with the OB shot. This would have upsetted me as well especially with it being on a hole so short and with a putter.. Bad break for him.. Also, anyone else notice Schusterick with the different hair color ?
Looks like Will started to realize the only way he was going to make his birdie putts was by parking his drives.

Will is one of my favorites, but I feel like he misses a lot of putts that McBeth and Ricky and some of the others consistently make. I mean if he was an automatic putter... with his driving ability. Watch out.

It annoys me that Nikko pitches a fit and nearly stomps on his disc when he misses a putt, then when he finally makes one, he does a dumb little dance like finally grew some balls.
This guy is very inconsistent, and his actions and words on the course are very unprofessional.

I don't get all the hate for Nikko. He gives the game some personality; all these other guys are freaking robots. It makes the game less entertaining. There's no emotion, for mistakes or otherwise, and it makes the entire game seem fake.

There are lots of comments about Nikkos's temper. I don't get it? He's a saint compared to the dicks I play with.... I once saw a guy bite his disc after flubbing a putt and another guy pull out his knife and stab his after hitting a tree. I bet we all have stories like that;)
Nicolas Decourten The difference is you guys are just goofing around at your local course. These are professionals (and top professionals at that) and are supposed to be ambassadors of the sport to help grow it's popularity, not stigmatize it as being full of a bunch of loose cannons and hot heads.
