      She's just one of those people that prides herself in using overly expensive makeup, and she doesn't want to admit that there's a much cheaper almost-duplicate of her precious high-end product.

    • @traci7721
      @traci7721 Před 8 lety +3

      I didn't know that, but not surprised. It's how it is.
      "L’Oreal owns several recognizable brands in the high-end market like Lancome, Kiehl’s, shu uemura, Giorgio Armani, and YSL. When it comes to this price point, adding Urban Decay into the mix makes a lot of sense of L’Oreal. The Body Shop seems to be the only similarly-priced brand in their portfolio. They also own L’Oreal Paris, Maybelline New York, and Essie, which can all be found at mass."

    • @traci7721

    I picked up this Maybelline palette a month or so ago because I really kept wanting that nice rosey coppery eye. When I initially swatched it, I really like it, but when I went to use it, I found it to be all fallout, no color to my actual eye. I splurged a few days ago and got Naked3 and I am so glad I did. If you don't mind having to get out the makeup remover after doing your eyes in order to get a good amount of pigment, then sure, stick to the maybelleine, but I say you get what you pay for and I definitely do not regret buying the naked3, since those are the colors I reach for every single day, and UD makes it so much easier to achieve.

  • @gingerlovesmakeup
    @gingerlovesmakeup Před 9 lety +17

    Try Revealed 2 by Coastal Scents! If you catch the palette on a sale it's $10 for 20 eyeshadows. I honestly love the Revealed 2 I actually like the shadows in that palette better than Naked 3 and that palette contains dead on dupes.

      I haven't tried the Blushed palette but I do love my CS Revealed 2 better than Naked 3. Naked 3 was just such a huge disappointment for me. Revealed 1 is just as good as Revealed 2 :)

    • @MyHoangxx

      is it kind of chalky? or just as good pigmentation as naked 3?

    • @gingerlovesmakeup
      @gingerlovesmakeup Před 9 lety +1

      lilnarwhalx I don't find the shadows to be chalky at all. The problem I had with Naked 3 is that the lighter colors seemed to blend into my skin and didn't look any different (same problem Bailey had). I always use a primer and base for whatever eyeshadow I'm using whether it be Coastal Scents or MUFE.

  • @tanhome7
    @tanhome7 Před 9 lety +1

    I absolutely shared your opinion on the UD Naked 3 palette. I ended up returning mine because I found that when I was done my eye looks, a lot of the colors just blended together and there wasn't enough contrast in the finishes and colors for my liking. I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking that. I never questioned the quality of the shadows but rather what I stated above. Thanks for the information on these 2 comparisons

  • @theflossi56
    @theflossi56 Před 9 lety +12

  • @vanessagomezely
    @vanessagomezely Před 9 lety +2

    I personally bought the Blushed Nudes because I wanted colors similar to the Naked 3, mainly for my brides, but I didn't want to dish out $54. Nothing a good eyeshadow primer, Fix + and technique can't fix. Obviously Urban Decay's pigmentation and consistency is amazing, but I'm with you when you say that the Naked 3 isn't very dimensional. You can't do many different looks before they all start to look the same... I like my Blushed Nudes and although the pigmentation isn't close to Urban Decay, you're getting the same color spectrum for $10! I can't complain.

  • @carolinehankins3408

    I picked up the Maybelline Blushed Nudes palette at Walmart the other day, and I was pleasantly surprised by it! I do own the Naked 3, but I think the shades in the Maybelline palette are SO pretty - and for $10 (actually $9 because I had a coupon), I couldn't resist! I think it would be a great option for someone trying to save some money. And I was able to put together a look with it that I really liked, and it lasted all day! Very impressive, especially for me since I have oily eyelids and can sometimes have issues with my shadows creasing. Great review, Bailey!! Thanks!

    Tbh I liked how the maybelline eye shadow turned out better on your eyes. You do have to work with the pallet more to build intensity, but I actually like taking my time building up the product so I don't over do it like I do with some shadows are that crazy pigmented.

    I don't have the Naked 3, but I did pick up the Blushed Nudes. I didn't have anything with this kind of color scheme and I really enjoy it. I do find that if I actually use my finger (washed, of course) to apply to my lid I get better pigmentation. For $10 I'm pleased with it and feel I get a variety of looks from it. I appreciate the fact that it's not heavily pigmented so when I use the darker colors I can build them up to the level I want. Thanks for the review!

  • @elizabetherne556
    @elizabetherne556 Před 9 lety +1

    I own both. I tend to use the blushed nudes more because of the way naked 3 always looks the same. I love other urban decay products, just not their eyeshadows.

I am almost 62 and have lived long enough that any damage that has happened is already done. I don't buy organic products for the same reason. I live and eat healthier than I ever have before. Nobody gets out of this life alive. At a certain age you get a whole lot of freedom in worries in life. :)

    Hi, Bailey. :-) I found your Urban Decay Naked 3 and Maybelline's The Blushed Nudes Palettes comparison video to be quite helpful. I liked the way you applied the eye makeup. You did such a good job with the eye makeup look you created from both palettes, that I don't see much difference in the eye makeup comparisons. I think you could work wonders with any palette that is put in front of you, Bailey! BTW, you look pretty in this video. I did see this Maybelline The Blushed Nudes palette at Wal-Mart along with those two new L'Oreal eyeshadow palettes as well. I didn't buy any of them because I wanted to see what you and other people said. I already have so many beauty and cosmetics items.
    Yeah, beauty products are one of my weaknesses. I just don't want to be stuck with an eyeshadow palette that I'm not going to use. I have the original Maybelline The Nudes palette. From Urban Decay, I have the Naked 2 palette. I don't have Naked 1 or Naked 3 palettes. Based on what you said, Maybelline's The Blushed Nudes palette is workable. So, yeah, I think the next time I stop at Wal-Mart, I'll buy that Blushed Nudes palette since it's not highly priced. Thanks for taking the time to do this palette comparison review. Have a nice first weekend of Spring! :-)

    they're both the same but the blushed nudes are a little lighter, maybe dip the blushed nudes in a little water and I'm pretty sure it would be as pigmented as the naked basics 3 palette, btw loved it

    YES, this palette looks great! I've always wanted Naked 3, but have never been able to afford it, or atleast justify the expence, but this is definitely finding it's way into my make-up collection! :D
    Great video, as always ^^

    Thanks for your detailed review and swatches. You are always so thorough in your reviews. It is appreciated. I never purchased the Naked 3 palette but recently it's been on my mind. I think I'm going to get it next time I'm at Sephora.

    The UD palette costs about 80 plus dollars here in Singapore...but so do other cosmetics,they are so much costly here compared to the US :(

    So if you already have the UD Naked 3, is it worth it to get the Maybelline one? Like it seems like there were quite a few very similar shades, but are the remaining ones different enough that you think it's worth it for people that already own Naked 3?

  • @kelseyogden914
    @kelseyogden914 Před 9 lety

    I feel like you could get a better dupe in the Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 which is 5.99$ and the shadows are pigmented, the colors are the same, and they feel nice rather than get the Maybelline and have to deal with color buildup.

    in my opinion this palette isn't worth it at all I just asked my mom to buy it for me and now I feel like an idiot trying to make this palette work,I can barely see the pigment actually those 3 eyeshadow LA color palettes is a whole lot better
