I was waiting for this! I saw it at Walmart last week and I was like I am NOT spending that much on may belling eyeshadows without Emily's review

Am I the only one who appreciates sheer shadows as well? I mean, when I am running to school or something I like just throwing one color out of the palette and it works nice for a natural everyday sort of look. but I understand how you couldn't do an impact ful eye with it but for me since I am not into dramatic looks anyways it works perfectly for everyday :)

I think this would be good for a teen just starting out with make up, someone that likes lighter pigmentation, or someone who has a fair skin tone.
I actually really liked this look, to be honest one of the most flattering looks I've seen you do! So pretty!
I wish this was more pigmented. I feel like the color tattoo in inked in pink would be a good base for these. Maybe make the colors pop more

I am so happy with my Coastal Scents & Revolution palettes that are dupes for the Naked 3 so I didn't see a need for this one. Still, so glad to hear this as it makes it easier :-) ♥ Elle
Completely agree! Ever since I got the Revealed 1 and 2 I don't feel the need to purchase any of these new drugstore palettes coming out like the L'Oréal ones and these. Revealed knocked it out of the park as far as duping the naked palettes and I'm still so impressed and very much enjoy my CS palettes :)

Emily i wanna comment on your shadow application here, aside from the eyeliner being extended out a bit, there was something different that you did that really worked for your eyes. You extended your shadow out slightly more than usual, including the outer V. To me this made such a difference in your overall look. Your eyes appeared larger and they came out and up. Just this slight variation did so much for the shape of your eyes, I wish I could post a side by side pic of todays eyes in comparison to a different day to show you what I mean. Your eyes look great here.

Thanks for doing this video! got this pallet couple weeks ago and I have no idea what to do with it! The colors looks so pretty on the pan but not on my eyelids.
I have this palette and I like it because even though you have to build it up, you get the softer looks out of it compared to bold rosy looks from Naked 3. There's cons and pros with this palette.
I caved and bought it because the colors reeled me in. But I haven't used it yet. And the candid moments in your vids are such a hoot!!
I have this palette and I'm not crazy over many of the colours. But I will say: The three colours I do like are an Awesome combo for my complexion! The white and peachy colour in the top left corner, and that darkest colour in the bottom right corner in my crease is so pretty together!

This palette just came out in the UK. My palette has sightly different shades too. And they are also placed differently. I got to say tho that the colour swatches look amazing! The texture is very buttery and dark shades are very pigmented.
The original palette has just made it over to the UK & I'm really impressed by it! Xx

electrogeek77 I hope it works better for you than it did for me! I was disappointed in the pops of color. The neutrals seemed to have better pigmentation, in my opinion! Definitely need a primer underneath though. That's a given (:

Desire' Phifer I agree, the pigmentation was lacking, but I felt like the results were worth the effort. I was impressed with the purple shade, though it doesn't swatch well with the finger, it applies decently with a brush, and in all honesty is better than most drugstore purples and even a few high end purples I've tried. Definitely room for improvement, though. I think, over all, it's a fun little palette :) and yes, definitely necessary to use a primer! The stickier the better! Lol
I saw this title and thought " Oh good! I wonder what she thought of this one" because I have heard this talked about so well but I too just didn't find it was worth it. Only a few colors I liked. I 100% agree with you. Mine went back. Thank Emily. Always love your reviews! Xo Linda

You spoke of the back of the palette & te recommendation to pair up the colors or doing quads. Idk if you know this but MOST (not all but most) palettes are set up this way. So we can use the 2,3, or 4 colors that are strategically placed together as a usable color combo for easy wear. If you look at almost any shadow palette that has 8+ colors in it you'll see that they're set up to be able to use them as duos trio's and quads. It's not a new setup for shadow palettes. Except for the really large palettes or those consisting of all shimmers.

The one thing about more light shades is they always run out first so it's nice to have a few. Pigmentation is important for me though! Thanks for the review.
I really enjoy this palette, from the perspective that it only cost me $10, and I didn't have high expectations for it, to begin with.. I also have the Coastal Scents Revealed 2, and find that this is a good "alternative" for those who aren't sure about ordering the Revealed 2.. I do not however own the Urban Decay Naked 3... Good honest review, though, as always, Emily! I agree that if you already have a palette with similar shades, this is not a must have, but I still like it.
Ashley Branham I like it as well. Not fantastic but I like to use it with the color tattoo's that came out around the same time.. I think my favorite of those is called black orchid? Regardless they work well together.
It's really not a must have but seeing as like you I don't own the Naked 3 I thought it was a good way to try out how these kinds of shades will look on me before committing to something higher end.
Granted if I hadn't had coupons I would have bought the Revealed 2 but seeing as it was about 5 dollars for me I think it was a good value! I love Emily's reviews though. Even if I don't always agree I love to hear her opinions because they're so well thought out. Makeup is such a personal thing!

I never thought to use this with Black Orchid, but I'm going to now! I've used it with Bad To The Bronze and Pomegranate Punk, though, and loved the outcome! Thanks for the tip, girl!
I do highly recommend the Revealed palettes, though, if you can catch them 50% off! I'm holding out on getting the Revealed 3 until i can get it for $10!

Yeah, my L.A. Girl Nudes palette does it for me, and those shades foil very nicely too.

Good review. I bought the smokes one hoping it would be better...nope. Has a few good shades but it's the same as the nudes, and blush palettes. I just wish they would reformulate because I like the size for travel and I like the shades...they need some improving!

Yea I had this palette and ended up taking it back...I could not get any real pigmentation from the one I had..For someone with really fair skin this palette might work, but it definitely was not for me...Thanks for sharing...you can make anything look good!!!!
I just wish that Maybelline would use their eye studio shadow formulation in these palettes. Then they would be AMAZING!
I've been using this pallet for about a month or so, before watching this video and i find that spritzing the brush with water really helps with the pigmintation.

I actually like this palette. Its not my favorite by any means but it's a good little palette for traveling and when you are in a rush, and need some quick neutral color without looking too "made up". I agree there are lots of other palettes out there that can give you this rose gold mauve look, esp the coastal scents revealed 2, which I love. But for a quick little pick me up, this is a nice little palette.

I'm going to buy this palette because I actually prefer sheer eye shadows. I'm a busy gal & always in a rush so I want something natural that I can just throw on really quick. Plus, I've never been into those super pigmented & dramatic looks anyways, so this would work just fine.

I think I'll stick with my Revealed 2 palette. I haven't seen any videos where people liked the new Maybelline palettes.

Dear Emily I do not understand why Maybelline can't have decent palettes, they are owned by Loreal! I checked out Makeup Revolution from the UK, they had a 3 for 2 on their palettes, which were beautiful! I got all of them with a gift palette called Makeup Geek for $30.00 with shipping and handling! I would also love to see you do a separate review on Maybelline's New Better Skin Makeup and Concealer, since there is no information on the Maybeline Website!

I have to agree with you on this palette, yes it has some pretty colors but..... It was a bit disappointing. The disappointment for this palette was somewhat similar to the let down i felt after really wanting to love the L'Oréal la palette nude, which I liked but didn't end up loving as that too was a bit disappointing. I was waiting and waiting for Emily to review this and just thought she wasn't going to do it, so I just picked THIS one up instead of the original Nudes one and I regretted it... I wish I hadn't gotten this one... And I tossed the receipt right when I got it too... >.
Maybe the upper/lower shades directly below each one could be duos? They look, in the video at least, to have enough difference to work. What do you think??

That matte mauve is arguably my favorite shade of them all & for me the palette was worth purchasing just for that. I often reach for that color as a crease shade in looks with other palettes as well. Overall though, this palette is eh. I enjoy the top row, but have literally never used the bottom row as it bores the heck out of me and doesn't seem to have good color payoff.

This was the same issue I had with the Naked 3, there wasn't enough differentiation. I like to switch things up and not have the same ish look going on
